Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/09/wwe-nxt-952013-results-and-review.html
Hudson River Crossing (Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady) vs.Scott Dawson & Alexander Rusev
Enzo came out and wasn't happy about the attack last week, calling Rusev and Dawson S-A-W-F-T.
"Scott Dawson is bordering on a technical genius inside the ring." - William Regal |
Enzo and Cass got the win here by DQ when The Legionaries were both in the ring and didn't leave for 5 seconds. Good lord was this finish stupid. The match was actually decent for the short time it got but that finish was super lame. I have no idea what the thought process for this one was as it was pretty stupid.
Bo Dallas came out, thanking his Bolievers.
Bo said he was Sami's mentor and said he was trying to help him next week. He said he'd fight Sami when he gets better. He encouraged everyone to write him and said, "when in doubt, don't stop bolieving". He got massive heat here and I'm digging his current gimmick.
Renee Young interviewed CJ Parker. He basically said that Breeze is obsessed with his outer self while CJ is happy from within. Breeze attacked him.
Breeze then took a selfie.
Paige vs. Sasha Banks
Paige won with a roll through on a cross body. Good match here. The crowd was into it and Sasha stuck with submission wrestling which worked out nicely. She busted out the camel clutch and did some chokes with body scissors and really looked good here. The crowd made this though and made it better than it would have been elsewhere. Rating:***
Sasha Banks turned heel on Paige after. Paige tried to console her and when Paige turned her back, Sasha attacked. She slapped her chest and hit a straightjacket neckbreaker.
Summer Rae was with Sasha Banks in the back.
Sasha said what she did felt amazing and she thanked Summer Rae for bringing the rage out of her.
Xavier Woods vs. Leo Kruger
They said Woods is from Angel Grove, California which is the home of the Power Rangers.
Xavier Woods won with the Eat Defeat. Pretty good match here. Kruger controlled things by working the arm the whole time until Woods made his comeback. I really liked the Honor Roll counter and this was a good match. Rating:***
Overall thoughts: The finish to the opener stunk but from there everything else was good, making this a good show.
yeah, this show felt more like a filler ... but it was good for what it was. it's just that without sami zayn, nothing seems normally as great as we got used to from NXT.
ReplyDeleteThe referee didn't even make it to a five-count. He was at four and ordered for the bell to ring. That ticked me off. -____________-
