We are in the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive. 

Weaponized Steel Cage Match - Saquon Shugars vs Dion Lennox

They hit each other in the ring. SS chops him down and drops him with a punch. Dion hits him with a chair in the back and gut. SS is thrown into the cage head first a few times. Dion pushes his head into the cage with his feet. 

Dion whips him with a belt and punches him down for 2. Dion one arm powerbombs him on a chair. Dion slams him for 2. SS throws a trash can at Dion's gut. Dion has a trash can put on his head and SS hits the can with the lid. SS dropkicks him off the top into the can on his head for 2.

SS chairs him. Dion double throat thrusts him. Dion puts one chair upside down on the other and slams SS onto the legs under the chair. SS rolls him up for 2. SS is sent into a chair between the ropes. Dion pushes SS' head into a chair with his foot. 

SS hits kendo stick shots on him. SS' head is banged off an open chair. Dion hits him with a kendo stick then chokes him with it. SS knocks a kendo stick into Dion's face then sends him face first into the cage. SS top rope twisting crossbodies him. 

Dion hits him in the gut with a kendo stick. Dion is sent through first into a kendo stick. SS atomic drops him then blade runners him into an open chair seat for 2. SS goes up top and is knocked down. Dion spinebusters him onto a trash can for 2. SS grabs a bat and hits Dion with it. Dion's throat is rammed into the bottom of a bat. Dion throws a chair at SS' knee. SS is put in tree of woe and Dion chars him in the leg for 2. Dion ties up SS' legs. SS bangs Dion's head off a trash can lid to break it up. 

Dion legsweeps him. They go onto the buckles and SS' knee gives out. Dion falls on a table and one of the legs slips.  SS then superkicks Dion on the head and the table somehow breaks. SS goes up top and crossbodies him from the top of the cage. SS pins him.

Thoughts: It's a shame they had issues with the table because it was an okay match otherwise. They had some creative stuff here and this was better than their other matches. But the stuff with the table was really bad. 

Tony D'Angelo is interviewed. He says it's been big PLE after PLE for him. He says his opponents forgot who they are stepping in the ring with. He says he put Oba Femi down first. He says he beat 3 men to get the title and will beat 3 men to keep it. 

The Vanity Project are interviewed at a bowling alley by Sarah. Drake says their chemistry isn't fake. Brad says Tav and Borne pretend to be friends and think they are better than the other. They talk about how they have a better bond and Brad says it's a brotherhood. We see them bowl. 

They put over Myka. Myka says it's time to cash in and win the tag titles on Sunday. They say they are coming out of Heatwave decked out in gold. They then make Sarah do their hand sign with them.

Nattie is in the ring. Nat says she came to NXT to fight Jaida Parker. She says she looks and wrestlers like a million bucks. She says she saw wasted potential in her. She says she has the tools but doesn't know what to do with the rest of it. She says she exposed Jaida and says Jaida started wrestling and speaking better. She says she gave her the most valuable asset in wrestling - her attention. She says Jaida is a possibility she turned into a reality.

Jaida Parker comes out. She says it doesn't sound like she doesn't belong here to her. She says she took her losses hard and says Nat isn't special. She says she sees through her. She says Nat saw a woman coming up and she tried to break her. She says Nat reminded her of who she is. She says she doesn't want her acceptance or experience. She says Nat should be thanking her. Nat says she wants a submission match with her at Heatwave. JP says if she wants it, she will get it. She says she will wax that @ss at Heatwave.

Keanu Carver vs Kam Hendrix

KC cradles him for 2. Kam side headlocks him. KC overhead northern lights suplexes him and crossbodies him. KC forearms him down. KC's throat is banged off the ropes. Kam hits corner lariats. Kam rolls into a lariat on him for 2. 

Kam chokes KC on the ropes with his leg. Kam the kicks the middle rope into him. Kam chinlocks him. Kam showtime kicks him for 1. KC hits punches. KC pop up germans him. KC germans him on his neck. KC pounces him. 

KC tries to grab him outside and Kam eye pokes him. Mason Rook crossbodies Kam outside. KC fisherman suplexes Kam and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a weird one with there being no clear faces here. I don't know what Kam's new gimmick is about at all, but I don't think it's working. The work wasn't that bad in this were too many hurdles here. Kam's bump on the pounce spot was nice though.

Kelani Jordan does a video. She talks about how everyone works so hard to get here. She says she was just gifted to get here and says she was the standout from the start. She says Oba and Lola followed her path and she did it faster. She talks about winning titles in her first shot and says she will beat Kendall Grey. She says you just need an opportunity and no one does it like her.

Zilla Fatu says Heatwave got hotter as he went from the #1 free agent to the #1 contendr. He says everyone has eyes on him and that's how he likes it. He shows off his Umaga chain. He says his last name is a blessing and a burden. He says he's not just another nepo baby, he's a grown man who paved his way to get here. He says controversy is part of The Zilla Fatu Show. He says he came here and made a legendary splash with 25 million viewers across platforms. He says all his opponents will get it and he says everyone will know why they call him, "The Main One".

Zaria vs Kali Armstrong

Kali will get in the Heatwave triple threat if she wins here. 

They lock up and butt heads. Kali side headlocks her. They shoulder battle and Zar shoulders her over. Zar slams her. Kali slams Zar on the mat. We see Wren Sinclair watching in the back. 

Zar running back elbows her and pump kicks her. Zar throws her and corner splashes her. Zar back body drops her. Kali hits punches. Kali lariats her over the top. Kali top rope dives her outside and lands hard. 

Zar's head is banged off the apron. Kali knee drops her head. Kali punches her in the corner. Kali hits corner spears and throws her on a slam for 2. Kali sleepers her. 

Kali side headlocks her and Zar backdrops her. Zar hits mounted shots on her. Zar boots her out of the corner. Zar hanging sleepers her. Zar sits up top and they trade shots.  Kali superplexes her. 

They trade shots. Kali gets the edge. Zar headbutts her from behind. Kali powerbombs her for 2. Zar pump kicks her and spinning lariats her for 2. Zar germans her and Kali pwoerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and eats a spear. Kali victory rolls her and pins her.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was a nice little heavyweight match here with them doing some power moves. The two matched up pretty well and I'd like to see this one again.

Kendal Grey introduces a Nascar driver to the doctor. The doc tells Grey she's cleared but she needs to take care of her ear. She says she's playing with fire. Wren comes in and says they are all worried. The Nascar driver has them take a deep breath. Wren says they like him. Grey says they will all win this weekend and it'll be a great weekend. 

The Birthright (Lexis King, Stacks, Uriah Connors and Charlie Dempsey) vs Sean Legacy, Dorian Van Dux, Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar

CD and Dar fight over arm holds. CD takes him over. Dar backslides him and CD backslides him. Dar side headlocks him. RM springboard double stomps CD. Dux is tripped and King slingshot stomps him. Dux and King trade shots. Dux armdrags him into an armlock. 

Dux swings Sean's legs into his opponents then drops him onto Stacks. Sean armdrags UC and wristlocks him. UC chops RM. UC dropkicks RM. RM kicks him from the bottom rope. RM sunset flips him and ankle locks him. Dar and RM get ankle locks on and are sent out. Sean and Dux hit stereo top rope crossbodies. Both get thrown out. RM hits a top rope double dropkick. UC superkicks RM outside.

King corner lariats and backbreakers RM. CD gutwrench suplexes RM for 2. He then does it again. Stacks short arm lariats RM. UC chops RM in the corner and clubs on him. Stacks knee drops RM in the head for 2. 

RM takes takes a suplex + sitout powerbomb combo for 2. We see Grayson Waller arrive with a "Nepo Uce" shirt. UC sleepers RM. RM takes forearms and tags out. Dux springboard dives on Stacks and back body drops UC. Dux hurricanrana's UC. Dux throws Stacks out onto his partners outside. Dux suicide dives everyone.

Dux top rope frogsplashes Stacks and Sean springboard 340's him for 2. Dar hits punches on CD and armbars him. UC top rope swantons Dar. Stacks is thrown into a uranage from Dux. King takes a flying kick from RM. RM spaceman dives outside. Sean does an assisted springboard dive outside. CD backdrops Dar and pins him.

Thoughts: It was very fast paced and maybe too fast at times. It had a ton of action and flying here but it was a bit hard to follow. It was alright though. Sean got real high on his assisted springboard and Stacks  took a rough looking fall to the outside.

Stone talks to Keanu Carver and complains about Rook cheating in his match. Keanu says a win is a win.

Shiloh Hill comes in and says he wants a match with Naraku.

AAA Cruiserweight Title - Rey Fenix (c) vs EK Prosper

Rey trips him. EK rolls him up for 2. They trade pin attempts. EK headflips out of an armdrag. Rey hits chops on EK, does rope tricks and springboard corkscrew diving armdrags him. Rey goes to springboard and is dropkicked down. EK top rope moonsaults Rey outside.

EK springboards into a superkick for 2. Rey chops him in the corner. EK high kicks him. EK spinning ddt's him for 2.  They chop each other on the ropes. Rey gets a 2 count on him.

They forearm each other then flying double clothesline each other. They hit each other on their knees then get up and trade. Rey dropkicks him and spin kicks him in the back of the head. EK facebusters him off a powerbomb attempt. EK springboard diving legdrops him for 2.

Rey ropewalk kicks him. Rey top rope crossbodies him for 2. Rey then top rope frogsplashes him. Rey rolls and is caught with a german. Rey handspring cutters him. Rey flying knees him in the corner. They go up top and EK top rope hurricanrana's him. EK misses a top rope moonsault. Rey flying knees him in the corner. Rey superkicks him. Rey hits a mexican muscle buster and pins him.

Thoughts: Rey won as expected. It was all flying and fast paced action. The selling could have been a lot better but it was a nice showcase for EK. EK really needs a character and mic time though, because that's what will ultimately get him over. It was an okay match.

Borne and Tavion talk to a Nascar driver named Sam Mayer. Tav says they should do their tag match first and says Borne can save his energy there. Borne says they will get 2 W's. Borne tells him not to let the nerves control him.

Hank and Tank come in and are hyped as usual. Borne says Hank and Tank came back from Hollywood. Hank and Tank want tag title shots. Tav says they are focused on Heatwave right now.

Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey come out. Grey says Kelani is that good but she's always making excuses. She says no one knew who Kendal was last year and talks about all her accomplishments. She says Kelani can call herself the standout, but she's the benchmark in this division. She says she had matches she didn't have to have. She says it's time for Kelani to put her money where he mouth is. 

Kelani Jordan comes out to talk. She says she only needs one shot to win and will put her on the bench. Wren says they will be in her state and says they will bring home the gold.

Zaria comes out. She says she will leave Wren laying again.  Kali Armstrong comes out. She says she beat Wren and Zaria already back to back. She says she's coming home with both titles.

Grayson Waller comes out. He says they are great to look at and hard to listen to. GW says they were the highlight of the show until he came back. He says the world will be talking about him at the Heatwave. He says he will conquer his demons and become champ.

Tony D'Angelo comes out. He says Waller came out to reinvent himself but says he will be a disappointment like always. 

Cruz Montana comes out. He says he knew NXT was dysfunctional but he kind of likes it. He says everyone came here to talk but he came here to throw hands. Everyone starts fighting. Security tries to break it up and fails. Zaria F-5's Kali. Grey hits a spinning back elbow. Zilla Fatu comes in and top rope dives Tony and Cruz. 

Zilla, Grey and Wren then hold up titles to close the show. 

Overall thoughts: The cage match was going well but a malfunctioning table really screwed up the end stretch of it. Kam/Keanu was weird as there were no faces and Keanu's new gimmick isn't working. I liked Zaria/Kali. The 8-man tag was maybe too fast at times but had a ton of action. Fenix/EK was alright but the selling could have been better. It was a showcase for EK. The final segment ended in fights as expected. Wrestling was there was some good stuff on here but nothing is going that great storyline wise. There's also too much going on here and they should maybe ease up on it as it makes it hard for that stuff to get over. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as the show was okay enough overall.
