ROH Women's Pure Title Tournament Finals - Deonna Purrazzo vs. Billie Starkz

They shake hands and DP goes for the armbar. BS uses her first rope break. They shove each other and BS spits on her. DP side headlock takeovers her. DP shoulders her over then armdrags her into an armlock. DP rolls her into another armbar. BS is thrown out. BS then pushes DP into the steps. DP is curbstomped into the steps. 

BS armlocks her then suplexes her. BS hits forearms. BS corner lariats her and ddt's her for 2. BS arm and chinlocks her. DP short arm lariats her then baseball slides her. DP is sent into the post. 

BS misses a running lariat and hits the post. GP throws her over by the arm outside. DP russian legsweeps her into the commentary table edge. The announcers make a big deal of it then BS gets in and superkicks her seconds later. DP flatliners her into a koji clutch. BS knees her in the face then spinning high kicks her. DP lariats her.

They trade forearms. DP knee lifts her and russian legsweeps her into an armbar. BS uses another rope break. BS kicks her off the buckles then hits a suplex backbreaker. They fight on the apron and DP is alabama slammed on the apron. BS rolling sentons her off the apron on the floor. BS top rope swantons her for 2. 

BS grabs a sleeper and DP uses her first rope break. DP germans her then hits a gotch style piledriver for 2. DP pulls back on both arms and BS rope breaks. BS is out of rope breaks. DP pulls her arms around the 2nd rope. BS pulls her into the ropes to break it.

BS is picked up for a german and flatlineers her out of it. BS top rope swantons her and DP no sells it with a pin attempt. DP pulls both arms back and BS taps out.

Thoughts: Tony really has a thing for making Billie lose in big matches. Look, this title is meaningless and it really doesn't matter who wins, but you'd expect Billie to win since she is actually used. They went almost 14 minutes here. DP did various arm submissions but didn't really work the arms much in between it. BS similarly didn't have a lot of logic in what she did here. I thought it was funny how they hyped up BS taking a russian legsweep into the table as being so painful then two seconds later, she was back to normal and doing superkicks. This was a flawed match and I would say it was only average. 

Queen Aminata comes out after and shake hands with DP. Queen was supposed to fight her in the tournament but she got injured. 

30-Minute Iron Man Match - Lee Moriarty vs. Nigel McGuinness

They escape holds to start and Lee throws him over by the leg. Nigel throws him over by the arm. Nigel goes for the rebound lariat and Lee moves. Nigel takes him down by the wrist a few times. Lee cravates him. 

Nigel full nelson's him. Nigel side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Lee dropkicks him and backrolls him. Nigel rolls him up for 2. Lee does a border city stretch and Nigel immediately taps out. Lee is up 1-0.

Lee wristlocks him then Nigel takes him down by the arm. Nigel grabs the ear then hooks hin by the jaw. Lee armdrags him with an armlock. Nigel takes him down and bangs the arm off the mat. Nigel euros him down. 

Nigel wristlocks him and Lee does a cobra twist. Nigel does an abdominal stretch and Lee rope breaks. Lee 619's him. Lee is stuck up top and avoid a tower of london. Lee isn't paying attention and Nigel chops him down. Nigel hits euros outside then running euros him against the rails. Lee is thrown in and he cradles Nigel for the pin. Lee is up 2-0.

Lee pounds and boots him in the corner. Nigel does a hammerlock ddt. Nigel blocks a sunset flip and bangs Lee's arm off the mat. Lee ties up one leg and twists his other ankle. Nigel gets on back with an armlock. Lee rope breaks. Nigel throws him down by the arm.

Nigel pulls back on both arms. Lee seems trapped but escapes. Nigel hits double throat thrusts. Lee top rope crossbodies him. Lee misses an elbow drop and Nigel does a london dungeon. Lee's arm is sent into the buckles and Nigel euros the arm. Lee hits corner spears. Nigel euros the arm. Lee misses a springboard. Nigel hits corner spears.

They trade chops in the corner. Nigel eyepokes him. Nigel misses a corner charge then Lee misses a flying corner spear. Nigel takes him over by the arm and puts him in the london dungeon. Nigel makes him submit. It's now 2-1 in favor of Lee.

Nigel pins the arm and stomps the shoulder. Nigel does another london dungeon but Lee rolls him out and pins him. It's now 3-1 in favor of Lee. Nigel throws him down by the arm. Nigel trips him. Nigel armlocks him and pulls his arm down. They trade euros. Lee misses a boot in the corner and Nigel lariats him down for 2. Nigel does another london dungeon and then surfboards him with the armlock. Lee escapes and Nigel triangle's him. Nigel switches to a crossface variation and Lee rope breaks. 

Nigel hammerlock ddt's him. Lee rolls him up for 2 out of an arm submission. Lee does the old MMA lay and pray as he scoots away on his back. Nigel yanks the leg and hits a rebound lariat for 2. Nigel and Lee go out. Shane Taylor blocks Nigel from grabbing Lee. Lee guillotines him outside and drops him as the ref counts. Nigel gets in before the countout. Lee does another border city stretch. Nigel rolls him out of it and pins him. Lee is still in the lead 3-2.

Lee misses a corner charge and they run into each other. Both go down. Nigel trips him and does another pin. Nigel pins him. It's now tied 3-3 with 25 seconds left.

Lee talks to Shane and Nigel rolls up Lee. Nigel pins him and is up 4-3 with 11 seconds left.

Nigel goes out and celebrates and Shane Taylor punches him in the face. Shane throws him back in and Lee pins Nigel. It's now tied 4-4 and the time limit has expired. This is a draw.

Lee gets on the mic after. He says he doesn't know where Nigel is going. He says they are 1-1 and they need to figure out who the best wrestler is between the two of them. He tells him to get back in here.

We now go to Sudden Death. They butt heads. Nigel slaps him and rolls him up for 2. Nigel backslides him for 2. Nigel rolls up Lee for 2. Nigel blocks a roll up and they each trade pin attempts. Lee does a sleeper and Nigel tries to pin him off of it. Lee then does a bridge pin and wins.

Thoughts: I liked the ending to the original time limit here with Shane punching out Nigel to cost him a fall. That creative and clever. They had a good match here and kept this entertaining throughout the 30 minutes. They also told a nice story with Nigel making comeback against big odds and seemingly pulling it out, only to get screwed. I would have just stuck with Shane costing Nigel the match and having Lee win that way since he was winning anyway and since he's the heel.

Lee offers a handshake after. Nigel yells at a fan in the crowd and gives Lee his old ROH Pure Rules title.   

The commentators talk and Mox grabs the mic. Mox says he was thinking about The Don Callis Family. He says Don feels like he is owed something. He says he's entitled. Mox says he was raised on Ohio tap water. He tells Konosuke Takeshita that he has to take the win by force (they fight tomorrow on Collision) to gain ground in the Continental Classic.

ROH Women's World Television Title - Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Red Velvet

Red hits Mone before intros are over. They mount each other and hit shots. Mone grabs the title to hit her with it. The ref takes it and Red cradles her but the ref doesn't see it. They roll around with pin attempts for 2 counts. Mone slaps her and Red knees her in the face. Red superkicks her. Red misses a standing moonsault and Mone hits a pendulum codebreaker on her. 

Mone backdrops her and suplexes her for 2. Mone chokes her on the ropes. Mone foot chokes her then pulls her arms back. Mone knees her in the gut then suplexes her three times. Red gets her knees up on Mone's top rope splash. Mone bangs Red's face off the mat.

Red hits some punches and ddt's her. Red meteora's her from behind on the ropes. Red casadora bulldogs her for 2. Red foot chokes her in the corner. Red misses a corner meteora and Mone backcrackers her. Red blocks Mone's baseball slide with the ring skirt and chest forearm flurries her. 

Mone meteora's her off the steps. Red rolls her up for 2 then Mone backcrackers her. Mone meteora's her on the bottom rope for 2. Red's head is banged off the buckles. They fight on the buckles and rolls her off the 2nd rope for 2. Red suplexes her then bangs Mone's foot off the mat. Red corkscrew kicks her for 2.

Mone backcrackers her. She drops Red chest first onto the knees. Mone goes for a 2nd rope tombstone and Red flips her off the 2nd rope. Red rolls her, driving her face first into the mat from ehr knees. Red rolls Mone into the mat off the casadora for 2. Mone rolls her up for 2. They trade pin attempts and Red spin kicks her in the face for 2. Mone crossfaces her. Red rolls out and pins Mone in a shok.

Thoughts: Wow, I'm surprised they had Red here. That was a big shock. I can't say they built this up well from what I saw, and they should since this was one of Mone's 13 titles and theoretically a big deal. I feel like they did this to prove that Mone will lose titles if asked. The match was fine but didn't have a great story to it. Red did a bunch of rolling moves here that drove Mone face first into the mat.

ROH World Tag Title - La Facción Ingobernable (Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos) vs. "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington and Adam Priest

SG gives Tom the middle finger and does a waistlock takedown. Tom hits chops on SG. Tom shoulders him over for 1 then armdrags him. SG eye rakes him. Tom reverse monkey flips him and rolls him forward. Mort and AP get in. AP shoulders him then stomps his foot. Mort misses a corner charge. AP hits mounted corner punches. Mort then throws him down by the throat. SG gets on commentary and says the tag titles are staying with them.

Mort is dropkicked into a pin attempt for 2. Tom dropkicks Mort for 2. Mort is hit with a double back body drop. Tom drops AP onto Mort for 2. SG knees AP from the apron and Mort headbutts AP over. Mort twists AP's neck with his feet. 

SG hits corner spears on AP then suplexes him for 1. SG jumping stomps AP then slams him. Mort and AP chop each other outside and come back in. SG high kicks AP from the apron. Mort backcrackers AP and holds him. SG top rope double stomps AP for 2. Mort hits mounted corner shots on AP.

AP 2nd rope diving tornado ddt's Mort. Tom gets in and hits armdrags on Mort. He then does a headscissors + headlock takeover. Tom top rope dropkicks Mort for 2. Tom goes to run the ropes and SG flying knees him from the side. Mort pop-up samoan drops Tom for 2. Tom rolls up Mort off a doomsday device attempt. 

AP top rope dropkicks Mort. Mort misses a flying knee in the corner. AP and Tom then do stereo plancha's off the top outside. Mort takes a lariat + german combo for 2. AP hurricanrana's Mort down off the 2nd rope. Hechicero comes out and pushes AP off the top. SG low blows Tom off the top. Mort spinning lariats Tom. Mort top rope corksrew moonsaults Tom and pins him.

Thoughts: I had big expectations for this but it wasn't that great. Mort and SG are faster workers and they never did the slower heel heat section where they work a hold or something and give the faces time to sell. And that's a problem considering Tom and AP are both underdog faces who need that time to sell. They just didn't do a good job of capturing the momentum here and never got close to making this one great.

Eddie Kingston vs Josh Woods

I have no idea why this is on here. Eddie hasn't been on ROH since April and Josh hasn't been around for 3 months.

They lock up. Eddie takes him down and they trade waistlocks. Eddie bangs the back of Josh's head off his forehead. Eddie chops him in the corner. Josh springboard knees Eddie and goes for a keylock. Eddie hits punches on him. They trade chops. Josh does a codebreaker from the side.

Josh forearms him and corner backsplashes him. Josh pumping knees him and overhead suplexes him for 2. Eddie germans him then hits a corner lariat. Eddie hits machine gun chops. Josh throws him. Eddie hits a corner lariat then headbutts him. 

Eddie superplexes Josh for 2. Josh kicks him in the knee then pumping knees him. Josh hits a chaos theory german for 2. Josh is caught on a springboard and hit with an exploder. Eddie half-nelson suplexes him. Eddie calls out Samoa Joe and ddt's Josh for the win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this one that much. The work was fine but it was a random match on an already long PPV with a predictable outcome. It was just a way to get Eddie a win on this card for some reason. It should have just been a squash. Eddie looked a little better than usual here as his stuff connected a bit more.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Titles - Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Carlie Bravo, and Capt. Shawn Dean) (c) vs. SkyFlight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, and Darius Martin)

All six fight to start. Sky hits mounted corner punches on Dean. Darius flying back elbows Dean then armdrags him. Dante butt drops Dean's arm and Darius basement dropkicks Dean's arm for 2. Sky is triple teamed in the corner. Dean misses a corner bronco buster. Darius hits The Infantry and lariats Bravo over the top. Darius standing moonsaults Dean then topes Shane outside. Bravo dives under the middle buckle and tornado ddt's Darius on the floor.

Shane chops Darius in the corner. Darius chops back and is punched in the gut. Darius chops Shane. Shane headbutts him and uranage's him. Shane splashes Darius for 2. Dean slingshot spears Darius for 2. Darius takes a superkick into a deadfall ddt. Bravo ties up Darius' arms and clubs his chest.

Darius takes corner attacks. Dean tope con hilos Dante outside. darius dropkicks Dean. Dante and Bravo get in. Dante hits punches, enzugiri's him from the apron then springboard flip dives him. He then tope con hilos Shane in the same motion outside. He then springboard crossbodies Bravo.

Trish Adora trips Dante. Leila Grey trips Bravo. Trish and Grey then get in the ring and fight. Grey hits mounted shots on her. Anthony Ogogo gets in then Christopher Daniels gets in and hits an angel's wings on him. Bravo slingshots and is caught with a slingshot.

Shane knees Darius in the face. Dante springboard tornado ddt's Shane. Bravo slingshot cutters Dante. Bravo crossover punches Sky. Darius enzugiri's Bravo and kicks Dean as he comes in. Shane punches Darius over the middle rope. Dean then pins Darius, totally pulling his pants down to win.

Thoughts: It was a wild one here with the seconds getting involved, lots of high flying and no lack of action. I enjoyed this and thought it was fun. 

AEW National Title - Ricochet (c) Dalton Castle

They shake hands. DC backs him up in the corner. Ric crucifixes him for 2. DC stalls outside and runs around the ring with The Boys. DC trips him and rolls him around by the waist. DC splashes his back and rolls him around with a gutwrench. DC spinning back elbows him. Ric throws a fit outside. Ric then pump kicks one of The Boys.

Ric knows DC off the apron then fosbury fops him outside. Ric elbow drops DC's neck and face. Ric kicks him in the back and forearms the spine. DC chops and punches him. DC then pounds on him and knees him in the corner. Ric does combinacion cabron on him in the corner for 2.

Ric tries to throw him in for a springboard move but DC rolls around. DC then waistlock rolls him around. DC catches his handspring and germans him. DC exploders him then backdrops him. DC flying knees him in the corner and slingblade bulldogs him for 2.  

Ric corkscrew kicks him in the face and asai moonsaults him for 2. Ric running ssp's him for 2. Ric spinning headscissors him off a bangarang, pumping knees him and shiranui's him for 2. Ric buzzsaw kicks him. Ric misses a phoenix splash off the top. They both try to do suplexes off the apron. DC exploders him on the apron. DC then overhead suplexes him on the floor.

Ric rolls him up for 2 in the ring and DC hits a bangarang for 2. Ric goes out and throws a Boy into Ric. Ric hits a spirit gun on DC and pins him to win.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. They messed around too much early on and spent endless amounts of time outside here. Even the finish was silly with Ric pushing a Boy into DC then hitting a spirit gun in the ring and pinning him. 

ROH World Title - Survival of the Fittest - Bandido (c) vs. Blake Christian vs. The Beast Mortos vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Komander vs. Hechicero

SG/Mort/Hech are working together here. Sammy and Hech compete for cheers early. 3 of the wrestlers go up the ramp then the heels attack them from behind. SG chops Kom then sends him into the rails. Band is put in a chair and Hech boots him out. SG rips on Kom's mask. Kom is stomped by SG/Mort/Hech. Blake gets on the apron and spears Hech on it. Blake headflips over SG, rolls under him and is hit with a corkscrew dropkick. SG then struts and poses. Blake standing spanish flies him for 2.

Mort slingblade bulldogs Blake. Jay Lethal is watching in the back. Mort gutbusters Blake. SG superkicks Hech. Mort then spears Hech. SG hits punches on Hech. Mort slaps Hech down. Hech is double booted by them.

Hech step up knees Mort in the corner and tilt-a-whirl backbreakers SG. Band and Kom do stereo springboard armdrags him. Blake fosbury flops Hech through the ropes. Blake takes corner attacks. Band top rope tornillos Blake and Hech. Kom springboards, jumps off of Band's shoulders and hits a double ddt on Blake and Hech. Kom gets on Band's shoulders. Band walks him to the side of the ring and Kom slips on the moonsault and backsplashes 3 people outside. Band then fosbury flops Mort outside.

Blake is double team flipped onto his chest. Blake is then thrown into a backbreaker on Band's knee. Band spins Kom around, he boots Blake then headscissors Hech. SG flying knees Band and superkicks Kom down. SG takes a 619 to the legs on the 2nd rope. Band hits a reverse GTS on SG. Kom rope walk ssp's SG and pins him. Sammy Guevara is eliminated.

Band lifts Kom then Mort spears Band. Mort pop-up samoan drops Kom then backbreakers Blake. Mort spears Hech. Kom springboard diving poisonrana's Mort. Band germans Mort. Blake walks off opponents shoulders from the top and canadian destroyers Mort. Hech double lariats Hech and Kom over the top. Hech headscissors drivers Mort and pins him. The Beast Mortos is eliminated.

Hech step up knees Blake in the corner. Hech blocks a code red and powerbombs Kom off of it. Hech flips Band into an armbar. Hech slaps Kom. Kom 619's Hech's feet. Kom and Band go on the buckles. Blake poisonrana's Kom down, forcing him to spanish fly Band. Blake springboard cutters Hech then handspring cutters Kom. Komander is eliminated.

Blake stomps and foot chokes Band. Hech pushes Band's leg down over the 2nd rope. Blake superkicks Hech on the apron. Band flying headscissors Hech (who is on the apron) over the top rope to the floor. Band pop up drops Blake onto Hech from the apron. Band frogsplashes Blake off the top for 2. Blake poisonrana's him off a 21plex attempt. Blake handspring cutters Band for 2.

Band reverse GTS' Blake. Hech spinning hammerlock backbreakers Blake. Hech picks up Band from the 2nd rope and Band sunset flips Blake. Band pins Blake. Blake Christian is eliminated.

Blake pounds on Band. Blake cranks back on Band's arm. Hech twists Band's arm outside. The doctor checks on Band. Band and Hech trade chops. Hech dropkicks him. Hech step up knees Band in the corner. Hech suplexes Band on the apron. 

Hech step up knees Band and knocks him on the steps, which are sideways and near the apron. Hech tries a slingshot elbow drop but lands on the steps. Band topes Hech. Band top rope ssp's Hech for 2. 

Band chops Hech in the ring. Hech flapjacks him. Hech rolls Band around for 2. Band poisonrana's Hech. Band tilt-a-whirl's into a cradle on Hech and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a longer bout here. I liked that they tried to tell a story with the heels working together and Band getting his injured shoulder worked on. It was mostly all flying and crazy moves until people started getting eliminated then Hech and Band did a 1v1 at the end. That changed the pace and the flow some and felt a little boring after everything we had just seen. I can't say I loved this one as it went too long, was mostly based around spots and really slowed down by the end.

Mercedes Mone is hugging her TBS Title in the back. Leila Grey comes up to her and says she's still the baddest b!tch. Mone says get the f*ck out of my face and asks who she thinks she is. She says she's the baddie Leila Grey and says she may be the next TBS champ. She asks if she's doing anything tommorrow (hinting at a title show at Collision) Mone says no to the match and walks off but we are told it is signed anyway.

ROH Women's World Title - Athena (c) vs. Persephone

Diamante is with Athena. They lock up twice. Pers is backed into the corner. Ath trips her and slaps her in the back of the head. They do a double knuckle lock and Pers is tripped down. Ath casadora rolls her and Ath kind of just trips on the flying headscissors. Ath then goes out. 

Pers forearms and chops her. Pers goes up and over then dropkicks her. Pers misses a superkick and Ath rolls out to stall. Ath forearms her outside. Pers pushes Ath into the rails then throws her into them. Pers argues with Diamante and Ath codebreakers her off the steps. 

Ath lays on her on the bottom rope and kicks her in the back. ath running forearms her and backdrops her. Ath sentons her for 2. Ath and Dia choke Pers over the ropes. Ath then chinlocks her over the 2nd rope. Pers' head is banged off the apron.

Ath misses a senton. Pers tilt-a-whirl backbreakers her. Pers misses a springboard. Ath does a bad springboard and is caught on it. Pers swinging backbreakers her for 2. Pers hits mounted shots on Ath. She then curbstomps her. Pers bangs Ath's head off the 2nd buckle. Ath boots her out of the corner and rolls her up for 2. Pers forearms her from behind. Pers is sent into the rails. Pers slams Ath down on the commentary table.

Pers PK's her in the ring. Ath and Pers double clothesline each other. They trade forearms. Ath hits kicks and boots her in the face. Pers then facekicks her. Pers boots her in the corner. Pers chops and pounds on her in the corner. Pers handstands in the corner and is kicked down. Ath topes her through the ropes.

Ath tries another tope but is caught and takes a fallaway slam on the floor. Pers goes for a powerbomb on the floor. Diamante saves Ath then is knocked over by Pers. Pers then tope con hilos Ath and Dia outside. Pers top rope dropkicks Ath inside for 2. 

Pers texas cloverleafs her. Ath rope breaks. Pers is hit with a stun gun then Ath running knees her in the side of the head. Ath 2nd rope moonsaults her for 2. Pers escapes ataxia. Ath escapes a razor's edge, flatliners and puts her in the koji clutch. Ath slaps her around and piefaces her. Pers does 2 suplexes on her then fallaway slams her. Pers spears her. Pers hits a razor's edge for 2.  

Pers flurries her. Pers goes up top and Ath top rope german's her. Ath hits an o-face off the top and wins.

Thoughts: It went way too long and wasn't that good. It was mostly all brawling here and them roughing each other up without a good story or logic to it. Pers had 0 chance of winning this one going into it and it was hard to buy that she was winning here. I feel like I write the same thing about Athena every time but there's no real clear end in sight to her reign and just like it was 2 years ago, the only person who seems like they ever might have a chance of beating her is Billie, who lost to her already.

Overall thoughts: It was a very long PPV at 4 hours. The main and semi-main went close to 30 minutes a piece and we had a 30 minute iron man as well. Reviewing this show was an iron man match on its own. Dalton and Eddie's matches both could have been cut here easy and both the main and semi-main could have had time cut off of them without losing much. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was just too long. The 6-man title match and the iron man match were the only matches I really liked her.
