Today, we have a special CMLL TV report. I actually figured out what day/time it was on and I was home to catch some of it.
I missed the first 20 minutes, so we are starting here from the second fall:
Lady Apache, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit vs Dark Angel, Goya Kong, Luna Mágica
2nd fall - This looked good from what I did see. I really like the teamwork of the Princesas and I loved the triple team penalty kick. They rudas won here with three simultaneous submissions.
3rd fall - Goya Kong took a nasty accidental brainbuster. She was just too big to get up. She looks even bigger than the last time I saw her too. I do like her as the walking bulldozer though. Apache got the win here over Angel after she reversed a spinning torture rack into a roll up while holding the ropes. Apache and Angel then teased going at it after this. The rudas left to Victoria's old WWE theme - "In my head".
Atlantis, La Máscara, Mistico vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Euforia, Último Guerrero
This is the 2nd TV match of the "New Mistico". The "new" anything is usually doomed to fail and in the long run this one will too. While I can understand CMLL wanting to keep ther character, the person under it made it special. The gimmick only got them Sagrado. At worst though, they probably has a Mistico vs Mistico feud when the original returns someday.
Que Monito came out for this which is always a good thing. The ring girls came out too which is always good. If there's anything WWE could ever steal from mexico besides masks and trios matches, it's the girls. Having the divas as ring girls would probably fulfill whatever purpose the WWE has seen for them over the years.
1st fall: They did one really cool spot here where they launched Mistico from underneath only for him to get sideswiped with a dropkick in the air for mthe side. The rudos won the first one quickly by pinning two of the technicos.
2nd fall: Loved the triple big boot by GDI. Ultimo tried to get a piece of Mistico's mask and the crowd seemed to cheer it on. The rudos did another launch spot this time on Mascara's back. They better hope they never screw that one up or someone will land on someone's neck. Mistico got launched into a huracanrana outside and Mascara came from nowhere to submit Ultimo in a pendulum. Good fall.
3rd fall: CMLL did a close-up on a ring girls backside. Atleast they are honest about it. Atlantis ran a little and man was he slow. Time has to catch up to you eventually. Mistico hit a nice super huracanrana on Ultimo. Rojo and then Ultimo got into a fight with each other and Rojo threw Ultimo over the top. The technico's won here with a simulatenous spinning backbreaker/armbar on the rudos. Decent showing overall but skipable.
