WWE NXT 3/27/2013 Results and Review

WWE NXT 3/27/2013 Results and Review

Last week's show is here:

This is a Road to Wrestlemania special so the wrestlers will be different than usual.

Howard Finkel is doing ring announcing! William Regal, Jim Ross and Tom Phillips are doing commentary.

Divas Title - Natalya vs Kaitlyn
They said this was made because Natalya beat AJ Lee on an episode of Saturday Morning Slam. I reviewed that match here:

Natalya hits La Swastika
Kaitlyn got the win with a spear. After the match, the two hugged and held up the belt together. The match was pretty good. They got a decent amount of time and got to do some close calls and I liked this one. The only problem is that Kaitlyn is a danger to herself and her opponents. She doesn't bump right and someone is going to get hurt. Rating:***

Alberto Del Rio talked about Jack Swagger and their history. Alberto said he would make things right at Wrestlemania, along with his pride and maybe his arm. He said Zeb Coulter was from Jumanji.

Zack Ryder did a don't try this at home ad.

El Local vs Brodus Clay
I'm always excited when El Local makes an appearance.

Brodus Clay won in a quick squash with a splash. Not much to say about this one.

The Shield cut a promo.
They said they would have zero tolerance for mercy at Wrestlemania and they said they would close the chapter for good on the fake heroes.

John Cena said Wrestlemania was his chance at Redemption. Cena mostly used his precious promo time to pretend to be The Rock by making fun of the way Tony Dawson looks and dresses. He told Tony Dawson to get a better tie next time. Yeah, I'm sure he's going to be taking fashion tips from the guy who wears jorts. This was no buys.
Kassius Ohno attacked William Regal and yelled, "Who do you think you are?".

Randy Orton vs Damien Sandow
Sandow said the fans should be ashamed for cheering someone who represented a snake.
Randy Orton won with an RKO. Well, this was your basic Randy Orton match and you've seen this one a million times. It was okay, but you know exactly what you are getting and it is never that great. Sandow got a little offense in and Jim Ross called him a main eventer at one point which is good.

Overall thoughts: The show was okay as a whole. The divas match and the Ohno beat down were the best parts and the main was unoffensive. I liked seeing El Local as well. It was nice to see Howard Finkel also.

  1. It was a bad show imo, Good that El Local got chance to be on nxt but I dont see why they have filled there show with there wwe roster. It should be developmental guys on here and thats what I wana see when i watch it, not this shit of a show.

  2. can you remember if the NXT crowd cheered or booed orton ? because I imagine that they would be 100% behind sandow.
