WWE NXT Level Up 9/9/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/09/wwe-nxt-level-up-922022.html

Bodhi Hayward vs Charlie Dempsey

This actually has some build to it as CD stretched Bodhi at the Chase U dojo.

Bodhi rushes CD then takes euros anad a throat thrust. Bodhi shoulders him over and hiptosses him. Bodhi gets a slam in. CD tries to throw him off a hammerlock but Bodhi hangs on. CD monkey flips him and Bodhi holds onto the arm.

CD bridges and flips backwards then is armlocked again. CD puts him on his shoulders and F-U's him but Bodhi holds onto the wristlock. CD gutwrench suplexes him and armlocks him. CD circles him while holding the armlock then chin locks him. CD hits another gutwrench suplex and Bodhi hits some stiff forearms. Bodhi hits a stiff lariat then football tackles him. Bodhi hits a stiff running shoulder then splashes him for 2. CD fujiwara armbars him out of it then rolls him into a leglock. CD stf's him the Regal stretches him for the win while staring down Chase.

This was a good technical match. Bodhi was awesome and stiff here and CD was his usual good technical self. Easily one of the best matches Level Up has ever had and they seriously need to run this on TV.

Valentina Feroz vs Sol Ruca

Feroz had colorful wings and got to do a dance for her entrance. Sol slingshotted through the ropes and did her handstand bit like usual.

Sol side headlock takedowns her and Feroz tries to roll her up out of it. Feroz arm throws her and has her headlock takedown reversed. Sol handstand walks over Feroz's drop down then Feroz pulls on both of her arms while on the mat. Sol throws her over her shoulder and does an armhold on her.

Feroz armbars her from the ground and is deadlifted up, then climbs her back for a sleeper. Feroz shotgun dropkicks her and dropkicks her against the ropes. Feroz spears her in the knee and hypes up. Feroz flips out of a back body drop type of move and backslides her to win it.

It was a very simple match. Not bad, but they didn't get to do much here except work very basic things. Sol looked good here. She got to show off a lot of strength here and this was one of Feroz's better outings so far. But, the match is going to come across as boring for a lot of people.

Ikemen Jiro vs Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo

Jiro has a watermelo pattern on his jacket today. Stacks shoulders him over and Jiro kips up and poses. Jiro armlocks him and puts Stacks' hand in his jacket pocket to escape a hold. Jiro armdrags him and does italian hand gestures. Stacks pulls Jiro's jacket off and they tug of war over it. Stacks is then pulld outside and takes a nice roll into the announcer's table. Jiro then trips Stacks with the jacket and motions towards Tony D'Angelo and is distracted.

Jiro is put into the post then has his head put into the buckle. Stacks cravates him then Jiro jacket punches him. They do an unusual hiptoss botch and Stacks takes a kick on the top rope. Jiro iconoslams him and Stacks hits some shots. Stacks running kicks him in the face and wins it.

The ending was weak and the match was short, but it was fun up until that with Jiro's jacket games.

Overall thoughts: All 3 matches were decent and Bodhi/Dempsey was a good match. Good edition of Level Up here.
