Knockouts Championship #1 Contender's Match - Rosemary vs Havok

 

They do a hanshake early then start throwing bombs. Havok body blocks her then they scream at each other and try to kick each other at the same time. Havok hits a corner lariat then a bad facewash kick.

Havok puts her in a camel clutch and cross faces her. Havok really leaves her trapped and hits more crossfaces. Rosemary comes back and headscissors chokes her over the ropes then missile dropkicks her. Rosemary tries to exploder her and ends up barely being able to do it due to Havok's weight. Rosemary then spears her for 2.

Rosemary goes for a reverse ddt but Havok reverses it into a head spiking tombstone for the win. I didn't like Rosemary hitting the exploder here but I actually did kind of like this otherwise.

Deonna Purrazzo then jumps Havok after. She kicks her heels off and tries to pump kick her but gets knocked back. DP then tries to back up the ramp but runs into Havok and is thrown back in. Kimber Lee and Susan then try to come out and run into Crazy Steve and Black Taurus and leave. Havok then spikes DP with a tombstone on her head.

Omega, The Good Brothers and Callis are interviewed. The GB's said their confidence is back and they will beat up FinnJuice tonight. Omega said they did lose their momentum by losing their titles but got it back by winning last week due to Kenny. Kenny said it's his turn to support them and there's no way they lose tonight. Karl said FinnJuice started something they can't finish and said they are the best trio. Gia tries to do the Elite's handshake thing and Kenny rips her for trying.

Impact X-Division Championship #1 Contender's Scramble Match: Petey Williams vs. El Phantasmo vs. Rohit Raju vs. Ace Austin w/ Madman Fulton vs. Acey Romero vs. TJP

 

There's a lot of people in this one. Generally, the longer something like this goes the better it will be.

Everyone picks on Acey to start and Pete dropkicks Raju against the ropes. Petey does a satellite headsicssors into a russian legsweep on Ace with Raju dropkicking him into the leg sweep. Petey gets caught going over the top to the outside with a hurricanrana on Acey, but Acey catches him and swings him into someone. TJP does a nice running headscissors on ELP.

ELP runs the buckles and walks the ropes on TJP. He evades attacks from two people then death valley drivers Ace off the top in a wild spot onto everyone. It was creative but they really choreographed it. We then go to break.

We come back from break with TJP facewashing Petey. Raju running face kick's TJP then cannonballs him hard in the corner. Petey did a slingshot codebreaker to ELP then hit his canadian destroyer. TJP caught himself in the ropes and Austin did a fosbury flop over him. Fulton and Dallas got into it outside then Acey pounced Raju.

TJP hit a gorilla press into a gutbuster on Petey then missed a frog splashe. ELP then frogsplashed TJP for 2. ELP then hit a pyramid piledriver type of move to win. There were too many people involved here for this to be anything other than the usual multi-man match. They didn't get the time they needed either and it was far from the best it could have been. 

Kimber Lee, Susan and D'Amore had a meeting. Susan wanted him to push play on her phone to see Tenille cheating in their match. Susan said she wanted a tag match with Kimber against Tenille and Wilde. Scott said it should be next week and she said it wasn't acceptable but then she agreed that they could do it at the PPV. She said she will "tolerate" it. 

 
VBD did a promo. EY said failure can't be tolerated and must be crushed. EY said he is starting a better and more violent plan. He said change is guaranteed in life and is the only thing we can trust. He said we will be seeing a lot of VBD. 

 

We went to Swinger's Palace. Alisha is now a Swingerella. TJP comes in and lost a bet. Ace Austin and Fulton then followed and said they are the #1 contenders to the tag titles. Larry D starts a fight with Fulton and Hernandez tries to break it up. Rohit Raju and Shera then come in and said they want a shot at the gold. Swingers tells his dealer to try and make this match happen and says he needs the right partner. Petey then comes in and he says they got a chance at winning. TJP wants the odds for their chances of winning. Petey says he doesn't know the odds and says he knows someone who does, then he wears Scott Steiner's head gear and they all leave. As always, it was a fun segment.

Sam Beale vs Willie Mack

 

Mack hits a swinging slam early then standing moonsaults him. Sam gets a little offense in and takes a big chop and a slap. Mack clubs Sam in the back and Sam hits some forearms and a headbutt. Mack comes back with some running lariats and then pop-up forearms him. Mack then top rope frogsplashes him for the quick win in a very simple but okay squash.

W. Morrissey then jumps Mack after and throws out Sam. W short arm clotheslines him then face kicks him. 

FinnJuice and Eddie Edwards were interviewed. Finlay said the Good Brothers and Kenny were cowards. He said they can't beat them and said he will prove he is better than Karl for the 3rd time. Eddie says Kenny is the difference and says he has a Kenny of his own - a kendo stick.

All About Me with Tenille Dashwood.

Taylor Wile is the guest this week. She says she doesn't like Tenille cheating last week. Tenille said she could have facetime'd her but Wilde says they aren't friends. Wilde says she will team with her at Under Siege so she could reach her ultimate goal. She said no matter what happens, they aren't friends or a tag team.

Karl Anderson w/ The Elite (Doc Gallows & Kenny Omega) vs. David Finlay w/ Juice Robinson

Karl gets the edge early then Final hits some euro uppercuts. Karl gets tripped by Juice on the outside then Kenny and Doc try to trip Finlay. Finlay gets beat up by Doc then Karl takes back over for a bit. Karl chinlocks him and Finlay comes back with a back drop. Doc and Kenny tried to get Finlay again so he dived on them. He then backbreakered Karl for 2. Finlay put Karl in a version of the figure four then Kenny and Doc jumped in to give him the win via DQ. Eddie and Juice then helped out Finlay and the heels ran to the ramp. I'm really not too into Karl Anderson matches and this was no exception. 

Chris Sabin did a promo. He said he didn't know what Moose's problem was and didn't get why he beat up Storm. He said if Moose wants to play like the rules don't apply to him, maybe tonight Sabin will do the same. 

Jordynne Grace is interviewed with Ellering. She said she was upset about losing earlier and Rachael Ellering says to take the anger to the PPV. She said to let the anger bottle up and take it up with Fire and Flava at the ppv.

Brian Myers vs Crazzy Steve

Steve bites Brian's finger to start then does the Tiger Mask takedown. Myers goes outside and runs into Black Taurus then sells it like he pushed him. The ref then kicked out Taurus. Steve gets some shots on Brian and we go to break.

We return with Brian in control. During the break we see Brian dropkicking Steve off the apron. Brian trips Steve then suplexes him for 2. Steve gets his tornado ddt blocked then Brian grabs the ropes and pins him in a nothing match with a lame finish.

Black Taurus then comes up from behind and spears Brian. Rosemary gives him the card of death. 

Don Callis is interviewed. He says this is what happens when the inmates run the asylum. D'Amore then comes in. He asks Don about what he was doing with Moose and asks him if he is an Impact executive or Kenny's family.

They run down the ppv card.

Moose, Sami Callihan & Chris Bey vs. Matt Cardona, Trey Miguel & Chris Sabin

 

Sabin and Sami go at it to start and Sabin dropkicks him. The Good Brothers and Callis are shown watching. Bey mocks Matt's taunt and gets a flapjack and a fast back body drop. Trey leapfrogs Matt from behind to leg drop Bey. Trey backflips into a headscissors on Bey then puts him in the rocking chair. Trey goes to dive on him but gets blocked and kicked in the head by Moose.

We go to break and return with Moose in control on Trey. We were told Trey was beat on during the break. Trey gets beat up for a bit by Moose then Sami. Trey and Sami bump chins when they both try clotheslines and fall down.

Cardona gets the hot tag in and missile dropkicks Trey off the 2nd rope. He then hits a big lariat and kicks Trey in the head in the corner. Sabin missile dropkicks Bey off the top. Moose gets in and gets a double superkick. Trey then tries to flip dive on him but gets caught, however, he brings his head into the post.

Everyone gets a finishing move in. Sabin ends up eating a package piledriver from Sami and Sami wins it. It wasn't anything too special. Sami getting the pin was not what I expected.

Sami and Moose push each other after. The Good Brothers leave as Callis watches on in the back.

Overall thoughts: This really wasn't anything too special of a show. Some of the matches were fine but nothing you would remember. The hype for this PPV is clearly a lot less than the last PPV and really feels like it is happening too soon.
