AEW Collision 4/2/2026

Note - This show ran on a Thursday at 8PM, competing against JCW, WWE Main Event and TNA Impact. They did not have a Ring of Honor show this week due to this show being on. 

We are in Winnipeg, Canada. Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match - Jon Moxley vs Anthony Bowens

I lost my review of this due to technical problems. It was a longer match and not that good. Bowens really didn't bring much to the plate here. They did some weak brawling to start things and Mox worked the arm for a bit before winning with a high angle death rider ddt.

Will Ospreay comes down and hits a hidden blade on Mox. He then pounds on him. Will grabs a chair and The Death Riders save Mox. The Riders leave. Will grabs Mox's title that he left in the ring. Will says he's done hearing from him and just wants his neck. He says he will see him at Dynasty. He says no one can be at ringside during Continental Title matches for 20 minutes. He says he can do a lot of damage in 20 minutes. He then tells him to come pick up his title and calls him a little b!tch.

Okada, Mark Davis and Andrade talk. Okada tells Mark he can get revenge for what happened to Kyle Fletcher in the match against The Rascalz tonight. He says Kyle is his best friend unlike Takeshita. He says Mark has a better partner in Andrade than Kyle. Okada says Andrade is a future champ and he will be watching closely.

Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) vs Ava Lawless & Kristara

Kris and Meg lock up. Meg waistlock takedowns her then shoulders her over. Meg corner splashes her then overhead belly to belly suplexes her. LK pump kicks Ava. The jobbers take double fallaway slams and corner splashes. Meg and LK hit stereo lariats. 

Ava takes facekicks in the corner then Meg germans her. Ava stops a double chokeslam. Kris takes a claymore kick into a german. Ava takes a double chokeslam and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and not much more with the heels winning as expected with ease.

The Death Riders do a promo. Mox says he's not surprised by Ospreay's behavior but is surprised he's challening him for the Continental Title. Mox says Will wants him to believe he's 100% and he says that's a bluff. Mox says they are about keeping the sport pure. Mox says to expect no mercy with the Continental Title on the line. He says he doesn't have to beat Will as Will will beat himself.

The Hurt Business do a promo, making their return to TV. MVP says they are here. MVP says it's time to add someone to the ranks. He says they are back in business and business is about to pick up. 

Thoughts: With The Hurt's being older guys and them just having to take a break due to injuries, adding a third member is a good idea. 

AEW TBS Title Match - Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

This is basically an open challenge. Shida hasn't been around for a long time due to unknown reasons.

They shake hands. Willow backs her up on the ropes on the lock up. Willow shoulders her over. Shida shoulders her over. Shida is tripped on the buckles. Willow hits corner lariats on her. Shida flying knees her in the corner then kicks her in the back.

Shida bodyscissors her. Willow pounces her. Willow cannonballs her off the apron outside. We go to PiP break, full break and return. They fight on the apron. Shida high kicks her off the apron. Shida jumps off a chair outside and flying knees her. Shita hits mounted shots in the rail corner outside.

Shida top rope diving meteora's her inside for 2. Willow spinebusters her then sunset flips her for 2. Willow death valley drivers her for 2. Willow misses a top rope moonsault and Shida running knees her for 2. Shida running knees her again for 2. Willow backslides her and pins her.

Thoughts: Willow picked up the win as expected. Shida lost in her very random return to get herself on a real hot streak. It was a decent match mostly due to Shida.

Shida grabs her stick after and teases hitting Willow with it but doesn't. 

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs London Lightning & Mo Jabari

This is LL's 3rd or 4th AEW/ROH appearance by now. Someone in the back seems to like him.

Dax backs up LL in the corner and slaps him. Dax armlocks him then shoulders him over. Dax chops and lariats him down. Dax's head is banged off the buckles and LL slingshot shoulderblocks him. Mo is double pounded on in the corner. 

Mo enzugiri's Dax and LL is tagged in. LL looks to hit someone but everyone is down. LL tries to pin Dax but FTR wakes up. FTR hits a shatter machine on LL and Dax pins him.

Thoughts: Excalibur ruined the finish here. We were supposed to be surprised by FTR playing possum but Excalibur speculated that they were doing that when they were down. FTR then got the pin a second later. LL looked like an idiot when he was spinning in circles and unsure what to do while Tony Schiavone was saying to stomp someone. This was embarrassing.

Christian Cage and Adam Copeland then head down to the ring. They chair security and head in. FTR clubs on them as they try to get in. Cage low blows Dax and bites Cash. Cope impaler ddt's Cash. Cage goes for a conchairto but Cash is saved. Security comes in and gets beaten up. A security guard then gets a conchairto.

Jamie Hayter, Mina Shirakawa and Alex Windsore are interviewed. Alex says they meant The Brawling Birds name. Alex says when they rule, they rule. Jamie says Alex is the NJPW Strong Women's champ and she couldn't be more proud. Jamie says she was AEW Women's champ before and it eluded her since. She says Thek has a big mouth. She says she beaten her once and will do it again at Dynasty. Mina tells her not to beat her but to beat the p!ss out of her.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Juice Robinson

They lock up. JR wristlocks him then top wristlocks him. TC pulls him by the hair and side headlocks him. JR hammerlocks him and TC back elbows out. TC side headlocks him. JR shoulders him over. JR atomic drops him and russian legsweeps him. JR then sentons him.

TC jawbreakers him and TC's head is banged off the buckles. JR atomic drops him. TC's head is banged off the buckles many times. JR hits mounted corner punches. JR bites him. TC sweeps him on the apron then bites him.  

TC hits some shots. JR running lariats him. JR slingshot plancha's him. TC spits water in JR's eyes and sends him into the rail and commentary table. We go to PiP break and return.

TC chops JR and JR gets fired up. JR hits punches then headbutts him down. TC facekicks him. JR spinebusters him. JR hits chops and punches. JR corner lariats TC then full-nelson slams him for 2. TC pumping knees JR off the apron. 

TC hits shots on him outside. TC is sent into the rails. JR cannonballs him against the rails. JR corner cannonballs him then jackhammers him for 2. JR misses a top rope move. JR leg lariats him. TC low blows him then bridging ddt's him for 2.

JR bites TC's head. JR powerbombs him for 2. TC dropkicks him in the knee. JR facekicks him. They chop each other. JR forearms him. TC pumping knees him twice and pins him.

Thoughts: It went a little longer than expected. Juice really should have went down to the low blow. It was mostly striking and it was fine. Juice seems to be doing Geniichiro Tenryu tributes now with his gear and his chops and guh punches.

Isiah Kassidy does a promo. Zay says it's time for them to change. He says Mox forced him to change before. Zay says Mox now took out Marq Quen and he doesn't know when he's coming back. Zay says Mox talked about him swimming with the sharks. He says he didn't come this far to come this far. He says he's about to eat as he's starving for opportunity.

Thoughts: I really hope Marq Quen being injured is a work. This guy has been injured for most of his AEW run. Zay did a good promo here and he'd be a good 3rd for The Hurt Business.

Darby Allin talks after Dynamite. He says he has to beat Andrade and says it's the best Andrade has ever been. Brody King and Jack Perry come in. They talk about the matches they had with Darby and the things they did to each other. King says Darby was there for him though. Darby says they all hate The Don Callis Family and they can put all of this behind them for one night on Dynamite. Jack then talks into the camera and says, "he set me on fire".

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz) vs. Don Callis Family (Andrade El Idolo & Mark Davis)

Don Callis is on commentary for this. The faces get hit as they pose on the buckles. Dez is sent into the rails. Mark hits forearms on Zach. Dez is dropped throat first on the rails. Zach is dropped throat first on the apron. Dez's head is banged off a chair. Andrade is double dropkicked off the apron. The faces then hit stereo topes outside. 

The bell finally rings. Dez hits gut punches on Mark in the corner. Mark is superkicked in the gut. Mark is held for a basement dropkick. Dez upkicks Mark. Mark slams and sentons Dez. Andrade poses on Dez on a pin attempt. Dez and Andrade trade.

Dez goes for a tope and is forearmed hard by Andrade. Andrade takes a photo with a female fan. We go to PiP break and return. Andrade side headlocks Dez. Dez hits shots to Andrade's gut. Andrade facekicks Dez from the side. Dez superkicks Andrade. Zach tags in and hits forearms on Mark. He enzugiri's him. Zach handspring jumping knees him. Zach hits superkicks and high kicks. Zach 2nd rope tornillo's him for 2.

Mark germans Zach. Zach hurricanrana's him for 2. Mark enzugiri's Zach then running lariats him for 2. Dez hits kicks on Andrade and Zach double stomps Andrade's back. Mar ktakes a double superkick. Zach is pushed into an ssp but Mark gets his knees up. Mark piledrivers Zach. Andrade double underhook twisting drops Zach and pins him.

Thoughts: This was a lose-lose as neither The Rascalz or Andrade needed to lose but someone had to. It wasn't that good. It just didn't get that good of a pace going and the crowd wasn't super into it.

Other Don Callis Family members come down and beat up The Rascalz. Myron Reed comes to help his buddies and he clears off the heels. Reed then tope con hilos multiple people outside. 

Texas Tornado Match - Kevin Knight, Mistico & The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) & The Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay)

The heels attack the faces before they get in. Kev is sent into the rails. Claudio boots Mist and stomps on him. Claudio grabs Mist's mask then lariats him. Mist flying headscissors Claudio. Mist walks up the buckles and corkscrew diving armdrags Claudio out. Mist then topes him.

OC back body drops Yuta out. Kev then suicide dives out over OC. Mist dropkicks Yuta. OC puts his hands in his pockets. Clark pounces Kev out. RS hits shots on DF. Mist springboard double dropkicks the heels. 

Yuta and Claudio double back elbow Mist. Kev top rope double crossbodies Claudio and Yuta. Mist is popped up and headscissors Claudio down. Yuta takes a double hiptoss. Kev splashes Yuta. Kev hits mounted corner punches on Yuta.

We go to PiP break in the corner. OC is foot choked. OC takes corner attacks and boots the heels out of the corner. Yuta is sent shoulder first into the post. OC takes a high/low for 2. OC is thrown into DF by RS. RS throws OC into a ddt on Clark. Kev is popped up into a dropkick on Yuta. Mist springboard flying headscissors Claudio. Mist satellite headscissors Claudio. Mist then springboard diving headscissors him outside.

Mist springboard diving headscissors Yuta then superkicks him. RS half-nelson backbreakers DF. Everyone starts getting a move in. DF dominators Kev. Clark spears Kev. Claudio euros Kev for 2. Claudio and RS trade. RS olympic slams CC. Clark and DF are sent out and go to the back with OC and RS. Yuta germans Kev then flying knees him for 2.

Mist boots Claudio out of the corner. Mist sunset bombs Claudio for 2. Claudio giant swings Mist and Yuta basement dropkicks Mist for 2. Mist la mistica's Claudio. Kev top rope 180 splashes Yuta and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a free for all as expected. It was alright but nothing too memorable. It was definitely a random bout. I can't say it really mattered who won here.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual Collision with a lot of random and meaningless matches. The opener wasn't that good. Bayne and Kross won a squash. Willow and Shida had the best match of the night and Shida lost in her return. The FTR tag was embarrassing with Excalibur ruining the finish and London looking like a fool. Juice/Ciampa got some time and was okay. The Rascalz's tag wasn't that good and they lost for no reason. The main was okay but not much more. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it had some good parts but some clear weaknesses.
