EPW Wrestling 1/31/2026 Episode #227

Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary. They say the NWA Title is on the line as Silas Mason defends against Aaron Roberts.

The Order come out for an interview with Allen Pounds. Eli Knox says he's disrespected as he has to defend his title vs women. He says the women are on performance enhancing drugs and he's tired of it. Dorian Vain says he has a problem with Aaron Roberts. He says he thinks he's the baddest man on both sides of the Mississippi. He says Aaron is taking his spot vs Silas Mason. He says he's the EPW champ and that's his spot. He says he's tired of people putting Aaron on the pedestal when he's the man around here. 

Dorian says he's a real life combat vet of 12 years. He says he's never been in a rollover accident or had to shoot like him. He says he never had to pay the price like a man like he has. He says he hasn't put his life on the line to live like him. Dorian says he's the man and the guy around here. He says he's the baddest man on both sides of the Mississippi and that's why he's the guy around here. He says Aaron will pay the price and says Aaron is a little boy compared to him. Dorian says that's the executive order.

EPW Tag Titles - The Order (Izzy Rotten and Ethan Ross) (c) vs The Initiative (Trace Hunt and Jason Genesis)

The Initiative have Aryann with them and The Order have Hollywood Jimmy with them. Izzy has the longer hair and Izzi has the shorter hair. Trace is the bald one and Jason has the long hair.

Izzy waistlocks Hunt. Hunt side headlocks him. Izzy top wristlocks him and Hunt fireman's carry takeovers him. Hunt side headlocks him and Izzy hammerlocks him. Izzy side headlocks him then armdrags him into an armlock. Izzy top wristlocks him. Izzy then eye pokes him.

Ross double axe handles Hunt and shoulders him over. Aryann trips Ross. Ross takes a twisting suplex and a senton. Jason holds Ross for a running boot from Hunt. Hunt suplexes Ross and we go to break.

We return and Ross takes a russian legswep. Jason 2nd rope moonsaults him for not even a 1 count. Hollywood Jimmy trips Jason. Ross hits a nice punch on Jason. Izzy hits Jason in the gut then chinlocks him. Izzy pulls Jason down by the hair. Jason's head is banged off Ross' foot. Ross hits corner spears on Jason then corner lariats him. Aryann gets on the apron. Jimmy goes up with her. Aryann shakes a Snickers candy bar at Jimmy and Jimmy is distracted. Dorian Vane comes out, eats the Snickers bar and tells Jimmy to get in the game.

Hunt olympic slams Ross. Izzy is held for a single leg codebreaker. Parental Advisory come down and interfere to cause the DQ.

Thoughts: The Initiative interfered in Parental Advisory's match last week so they got them back here. Dorian Vain eating the Snickers bar and yelling at Jimmy was a pretty funny spot straight from one of their commercials. It wasn't the cleanest bout but it's a shame we didn't get a finish.

Parental Advisory fights The Imitative in the ring and refs come to break it up.  

Madi the American Badi joins commentary and asks where the commentators were when she got cheated out of her title.

Jennifer Justice vs Corrine Joy

Joy offers a handshake and Jen slaps the hand away. They lock up and Joy is backed up in the corner. Jen hits her in the gut. Joy side headlocks her and upkicks her. Joy running knees her then does a split leg drop on her for 2. 

Joy sits on her back for a chinlock and Jen rolls her into a pin attempt. The girls go out and Joy yells at Madi. Jen hits Joy then sends her into the post. Jen chinlocks her. Jen clubs on her.

Joy spin kicks her in the gut and enzugiri's her. Joy split leg drops her for 2. Jen eye pokes her. Joy hits a chop then rolls her up for 2. Joy low running knees her and drops her. Joy leg slices her on the back and pins her.

Thoughts: It was average and not too much of note here. Madi discussed who she thought was in on the conspiracy to cost her the title during this one. Joy has some personality to her.

Ethan Steele vs Wonder Boy

Ethan piefaces him. Boy blocks a punch and hits his own punches. Boy hits knees and a chop in the corner. Boy corner flying forearms him then crossbodies him for 2. Boy misses a corner charge and has his arm banged off the post. Ethan stomps Boy's arm.

We go to break and return. Ethan knee drops the arm and stomps him. Ethan eye rakes him on the ropes then stomps him there. Boy hits forearms then Ethan lariats him for 2. Ethan foot chokes him. 

Ethan clubs the arm. Boy running forearms him. Boy standing moonsaults him for 2. Boy hits a claymore kick and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a basic match and not too much of note. Boy is a little slower and needs some more fire behind his shots. Ethan worked the arm a little here and they talked about him not being around for a while. 

The announcers talk about the show so far. Carmen Michael, the NWA Crossfire announcer, joins the commentary team.

NWA World Title - Silas Mason (c) Aaron Roberts

They lock up and SM pulls him down. SM wants a test of strength but pulls his hands away. They finally get to it and AR gets the edge. SM side headlocks him. Ar then side headlocks him. AR shoulders him over twice and criss-crosses him. SM misses a dropkick then AR dropkicks him out of the ring.

We go to break and return. SM comes back in and gets on the buckles. AR throws him down to the mat. AR corner splashes him then exploders him. AR misses a corner splash then SM clips him. SM bangs AR's leg off the apron edge and post. SM butt drops Ar's leg while it's on the bottom rope.

SM chinlocks him and eye rakes him. SM boots AR's knee on the 2nd rope. AR back body drops SM then lariats him. AR full-nelson slams SM. AR then chokeslams him for 2. SM hits a thrill ride and wins.

Thoughts: It was a shorter bout. Both got a little in before it ended. AR overpowered SM a bit and SM did alright bumping for him. SM got the win as expected.

The Order jump Aaron Roberts after. Silas Mason helps out Aaron and sends The Order out. SM hits a thrill ride on Ethan Ross and AR chokeslams Eli Knox.  

SM and AR shake hands and SM raises AR's arm.

Overall thoughts: There was nothing too great here. The opener had a run-in finish though it wasn't for nothing. The women's match was average. Steele/Wonder Boy was a simpler match and not too much of note. What we got of the main was fine but we didn't get a lot of it before the run-in finish. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was an acceptable show.
