NXT 4/17/2013 Results and Review

NXT 4/17/2013 Results and Review

Last week's show is here:

Justin Gabriel vs Leo Kruger
"How does familiarity help a competitor?" - Tony | "It helps because you obviously know your opponent. You ask some stupid questions sometimes." - Regal
Leo Kruger got the win with the London Dungeon/GC 3. Good match here mostly due to Kruger. Leo's been impressing lately and coming up with some new stuff. I liked his double stomp from the corner and definitely liked the finish.

They showed the NXT crew at Fan Axxess.

Paige said that Summer Rae doesn't have a brave bone in her body and said she would break her arm. Paige challenged her to a match.

Summer Rae then attacked and said she accepted Paige's challenge for a match with her.

Bayley vs Emma
Emma got the win with the Muta Lock/Indian Death Lock with a Bridge. Good match here with Emma busting out new moves and incorporating her dancing into her match. The crowd liked it and she was really over.

Yoshi Tatsu vs Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt won with the swinging reverse STO, possibly called "The Sister Abigail". This was just a quick squash but was entertaining. This went about 2 minutes tops.

Bray Wyatt said he needs everyone to understand that he is the greatest man in the world. He'd get my vote.
Not the Brady's
Lumberjack Match - Seth Rollins vs Corey Graves
Seth Rollins got the win with a standing Shiranui after The Shield interfered. The match was surprisingly not much. It felt like a lot was missing from it and it just never picked up at all. Don't know what happened but maybe it was due to the finish and the lumberjack.

Overall thoughts: Good show here with everything being at the very least decent.

  1. Good review. Emma has broken out. I really wished I could take photos on a regular at NXT, but security won't allow it. Maybe I can contact WWE to get a press pass or something.

  2. WWE is a huge pain in the butt with that stuff. I was with a radio station once and tried to get one but they didn't even respond.
