Ring of Honor on HonorClub 6/29/2023 Episode #18

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2023/06/ring-of-honor-on-honorclub-6222023.html

Lexi, Tony and Stokeley are together. Tony says it will be a great night for ROH. He says NJPW stars are in town and will be on the show tonight. Tony says he will let Stokeley Hathaway handle things tonight.

Dralistico and Preston Vance vs Vikram Prashar and Mark Wheeler

Mark and Vik are superkicked to start and Dral hits a basement dropkick. Dral hits some strikes and a corkscrew kick. Dral superkicks Mark in the head then Vance hits a spinebuster. Vik hits shots on Vance and is dropped with a forearm. Dral springboard codebreakers Vik. Vance spinning lariats Mark then the heels do a double pin, putting the jobbers on top of each other and win it.

This was a quick squash.

Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) vs The Righteous

The Righteous offer a handshake but get nailed by the D-O. Dutch is sent out and tope'd on. Silver running euros Vincent then Stu Grayson distracts him. Stu then tries to get Uno to chase him and Vincent teases hitting Uno with a chair. The ref then catches Uno with a chair in the ring and Uno is thrown out.

Dutch black hole slams Silver for 2. Silver hits shots on Vincent then Vincent back elbows him and pounds on him. Silver hits a nice suplex on Dutch then Alex takes down Vincent. Alex kicks Dutch off the apron and takes down Vincent again for more punches. Alex hits corner lariats on Vincent and Vincent rolls out. Alex bangs him off the rail and throwns him into it. Dutch is pushed into the post then Alex dives off the apron with a ddt. Silver double stomps Dutch from the apron.

Vincent takes a short piledriver and a brainbuster. Stu jumps in and jumping knees Alex then Vincent rolls up Alex to win it.

It was pretty chaotic with lots of shenanigans. It was on the shorter end and it was fine.

Dutch and Vincent pound on their opponents after. Uno comes to make the save with a chair but Stu gets in the way, daring Uno to chair him. Stu then shoulders Uno and heads out, yelling at him.

Leila Grey vs Diamante

Dia grabs a headlock early then Dia armdrags and armlocks her. Dia hits Leila on the outside then throws her into the steps. Dia is knocked off the apron then Leila chokes her on the 2nd rope. Leila suplexes Dia for 2. Leila grabs a headlock then Dia hits lariats. Dia hits a stiff chaos theory german on Leila. Dia brings down Dia's neck over the top rope and hits a side effect for 2.

Dia germans Leila then dropkicks her against the ropes. Leila gets her feet on the ropes then Dia hits a twisting neckbreaker and wins it.

It wasn't anything special as expected but Leila didn't embarrass herself or anything.  I didn't think the announcers did a good job pushing their storyline.

Claudio Castagnoli is interviewed. CC said no one has challenged him for the title and it seems like nobody wants to step up. Chuck Taylor comes in, tells him he doesn't like him and beat him before and is ready to challenge him. Chuck says he is sorry to interrupt. CC breathes out, says Chuck is not his buddy. He said people like him call him sir and said if he wants a shot, it'll be a proving ground match without the time limit.

He says Chuck will have to beat him if he wants a shot.

Lucha Bros, El Hijo del Vikingo and Komander vs The Workhorsemen, Shane Taylor and Gringo Loco

Penta piefaces Loco with his taunt and Loco pushes him. Loco grabs his hand to stop him from doing it again then Fenix superkicks him. Everyone comes in and gets a move in then Penta hits a made in japan on Loco for 2. Fenix goes up top and Loco throws Penta into him. Shane headbutts Fenix then Loco gorilla press drops Fenix. Shane splashes Fenix. Fenix superkicks Shane then Shane hits a nice lariat on Komander.

Komander takes corner attacks then a sitout reverse sitout slam and a shining wizard. Loco double jump moonsaults Komander for 2. Komander hits kicks on JD then is hit and dropped. Komander back enzugiri's JD then Vik springboard dropkicks JD. Loco pops up Vik, he then lands on his shoulders and headscissors him. Komander hits kicks on Shane then JD takes double kicks from the Lucha Bros. Penta rolls Fenix onto JD.

JD and Penta lariat each other at the same time. Fenix and Henry chop each other then hockey fight. Henry enzugiri's and PK's Fenix then does a cross legged brainbuster. Shane goes over the top and Vik headscissors Loco. Vik goes up top then he moonsaults off the top while Komander runs the ropes and jumps off at the same time. The Lucha Bros hit double superkicks then Henry takes a double stomp + package piledriver combo. The lucha team wins.

This was a very fast paced match with a ton of action happening. The good thing about matches like this is that Vikingo and Komander are protected. I don't know why this was so short when it could have went double the time easily. I do feel bad for the Workhorsemen and Shane as they kind of got jobbed out here.

Samoa Joe does a promo. Joe said when Strong faces him, he always comes up short. Stokeley Hathaway then walks in. He told Joe to show him the same gratitude he shows Tony. Joe said he sees Stoke as someone who handles business and is the big boss. Joe hypes him up. He tells him he runs things but then says he runs him.

Big Bill and Lee Moriarty vs Karou and Tariq

Karou looks like a smaller Great Khali. Karou hits Bill then they trade back clubs. Bill hits a big boot then tkes a big lariat from Tariq. Tariq hits chops and punches on Bill then takes a black hole slam. Lee rolls up Tariq for 2. Lee lariats Tariq and pounds on him. Lee takes a hurricanrana and a big chop. Karou gets in and splashes Lee. Karou misses a corner charge and takes a back splash from Bill. Karou is lariated over the top. Lee enzugiri's Tariq then buckingham drop's him. Lee then wins it with a border city stretch.

It was a short squash but the jobbers looked decent out here and Bill looked good as usual.

ROH World Six-Man Titles - The Embassy (c) vs Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi and BUSHI

Bushi is shouldered over by Cage. Shingo and Cage trade shoulders then Hiromu tries to shoulder Cage but goes down. Cage takes double basement dropkicks. Cage slams Hiromu then Cage 2nd rope superplexes Hiromu. Kaun sideslams Hiromu on the top tope and Toa sentons Hiromu on the apron.

Hiromu comes off the 2nd rope, gets caught and tornado ddt's Toa. Shingo strike combos Kaun and Shingo double lariats Kaun and Cage then does a flatiner + ddt combo on them at the same time. Shingo suplexes Kaun for 2. Kaun and Shingo trade forearms then Kaun backcrackers him. Shingo ddt's Kaun then Bushi top rope dropkicks Kaun.

Toa tries to splash Bushi but gets the post instead. Kaun takes corner lariats then a lariat to the back of the head and a spinning neckbreaker for 2. Kaun hits a nice lariat on Bushi then Cage double lariats Shingo and Hiromu. Cage has control of Shino and Hiromu at the same time and slams + powerbombs both down. Bushi mists Cage outside then Bushi takes a double shoulder. Bushi then takes a double pendulum drop on his face and is pinned.

It was very fast paced and action packed. I thought it was decent but I would have liked it to slow down and I would have liked to have seen this go longer.

Cobb, Fletcher and TJP are interviewed. Kyle said it's all about opening the forbidden door this week. Cobb says it doesn't matter what pairing of the UE you get, the United Empire runs the world.

El Desperado vs Willie Mack

Despy running back elbows Mack. Mack does a nice leapfrog then a leg lariat. Mack misses a punch but Despy sells it anyway. They trade chest slaps. Mack samoan drops him then kips up, dances and does a standing moonsault. Despy dropkicks Mack in the knee.

Despy splashes Mack's knee then does an indian deathlock on it. Mack hits punches on Despy then is kicked in the knee. Mack pop-up forearms Despy then sentons him in the corner. Mack misses a top rope splash then Despy tries to knee lock him but is rolled up. Despy kicks him in the knee then is forearmed.

Mack high kicks Despy then back body drops him. Despy hits an angels wings on Mack and wins it.

Despy worked the knee most of the match then the finish had nothing to do with the knee. I don't like that finish in a work the limb type of match. Mack's selling could have been better here as well.

Sho and Yujiro Takahashi vs Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero)

The heels nail Trent and Rocky to start. They choke them in the corner then take double shotgun dropkicks. Trent picks up Rocky and runs Rocky's knee into Yujiro. Yujiro then takes a standing moonsault for 2. Trent plancha's Yujiro then Sho nails him on the floor.

Rocky is thrown into the rails outside. Sho back body drops Trent then Trent takes kicks to the head. Sho suplexes Trent. Trent tornado ddt's Yujiro. Rocky headscissors Sho then hits corner punches. Rocky hits ocnrer lariats on both guys then double lariats Yujiro and Sho. Sho takes a double stomp while hanging over the top rope then a knee.

Rocky is pushed off the top then Sho takes a half-nelson suplex from Trent. Yujiro brings ina cane and gets the shot blocked.  The ref takes the cane from Trent. Sho spears Trent then does a powerbomb lungblower for 2. Yujiro hits a 2nd rope fisherman buster on Trent then Rocky hits forearms on Sho.

Sho puts the ref in Rocky's way and high knees him. Sho takes a oduble jumping knee from his opponents then Rocky topes Sho. Yujiro takes a beach break + top rope double stomp combo and is pinned.

I wasn't a big fan of this. The heels just did basic heeling with lots of shenanigans.

Sho and Yujiro jump the faces after. Orange Cassidy comes out to make the save.

United Empire (Jeff Cobb, Kyle Fletcher and TJP) vs Christopher Daniels, Action Andretti and Darius Martin

TJP wristlock takeovers AA then AA bridges, flips and armlocks him. TJP rolls and cartwheels out of it then headscissors him from the mat. TJP headscissors AA but AA handsprings out. TJP then cartwheels out of AA's headscissors. AA dropkicks him. AA and Martin are pushed into each other then Kyle and Daniels get in.

Daniels backdrops Kyle then Kyle slams him. Daniels hiptosses TJP htne is pulled off the apron by Cobb and put into the post. Cobb standing moonsaults Daniels then passes him over to Kyle from the suplex position. TJP facewashes Daniels in the corner then Daniels exploders him. Martin 2nd rope tornado ddt's Kyle then bottom rope flatliners Cobb.

TJP backdrops Martin and AA hits spin kicks on TJP. AA handspring back elbows him then AA deadlift falcon arrows him. TJP tornado ddt's AA then AA takes a tour of the islands backdrop and a TJP frogsplash for 2. TJP takes a pendulum double rock bottom and the finish is botched with AA picking up the pin when he wasn't supposed to.

The match was okay but nothing too great. The finish was botched here as TJP was supposed to kick out but didn't. It was real fast paced and while they had some time, they didn't get as much out of it as they could have.

Jerry Lynn is with the Kingdom. Lynn tells Mike he loves Cracker Barrell but asks how he can hate ECW. Taven tells Lynn how much he loves ECW and says Stoke is jealous of him. Mike brings up that he retired Jerry Lynn while Taven protests behind his back. Lynn says he remembers it and said he remembers Maria having something to do with that. Lynn says they will get a tag match, but it will be a 6 person tag match. He says they will do the Infantry and Trish Adora vs Maria and The Kingdom. Maria and Taven then blame this on Mike and Mike ask if they are going to Cracker Barrell.

Proving Ground Match - Athena vs KC Spinelli

KC headlock takeovers Athena then shoulders her over. Athena trips KC then slingshot splashes her. KC backslides her as she does taunts then samoan drops her. KC dragon sleepers her but Athena clubs her multiple times. Athena hits a running shot on her then forearms her for the win.

This was a squash and wasn't anything special.

Athena goes up the ramp then runs down it after and nails KC. KC is sent into the steps then Athena running knees her against the steps.

Proving Ground Match - Claudio Castagnoli vs Chuck Taylor

Chuck hits corner punches and throws him out. Chuck bangs his head off the steps then Chuck is whipped into the rails. Chuck takes a running euro on the floor. CC boots Chuck in the head and Chuck goes out. Chuck gets in and CC does it again. Chuck has his head banged off the table out there then is euro'd over the rail. They go into the seats and Chuck is ddt'd out there.

Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero come down. CC is hiptossed over the top to the floor then Chuck tope con hilos him. CC euros him in the corner then Chuck short piledrivers him for 2. CC pop-up euros Chck for 2. CC lariats him and hits a ricola bomb for the win.

It was just a match. We all knew Chuck wasn't winning here and Chuck isn't that great of a worker. CC was okay here and Chuck tried, but he shouldn't have been here.

Overall thoughts: It was a middle of the road episode. Some of the tags were okay but they didn't further a lot of storylines here and there was nothing must see. Like a lot of the ROH non-studio shows, it had people missing for no reason and the build for future eps wasn't as good. It was good on one hand to see the NJPW guys, but they won't be around for the next episode, which isn't of much help. Yujiro and TJP also both lost in their debuts here.

AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 6/26/2023

AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 6/26/2023

Here's what I saw:

AEW World Title - MJF (c) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

This was not good and just sad to watch. Tana did the high fly flow for over a decade and completely ruined his knees. He had a hard time moving around here plus he has put on extra weight, which makes it worse. MJF carried and tried to cover for him as much as he could here, but Tana is sadly done.

Owen Hart Foundation 2023 Men's Tournament Quarter Final Match - Satoshi Kojima vs CM Punk

This match was basically taken over by the crowd. The crowd booed Punk for most of the match over stuff from the Elite/Punk worked incident. I don't know if I ever mentioned it here, but I believe the whole thing was just a cover for Punk's injury and absence. The only real evidence you can point to over this being legit is the Elite dropping the trios. Multiple parts of this story have proven to be false over the past year. Punk and Ace Steel returned after we were told they never would return. Colt Cabana was never fired like we were told. And Punk and the Elite have been on the same shows since then. It wasn't a great match and it had little chance to be due to both guys being older, limited and being one of the early matches with no build and an outcome that was never in doubt.

IWGP Title - SANADA (c) vs Jungle Boy

It was just a match. It was short. They didn't get to do a ton of stuff nor did they go all out. It wasn't awful, but nothing memorable or real interesting. The existence of this was a burial for Sanada. He's the IWGP champ and is in one of the lower card matches against a midcard guy.

The most notable moment here was JB turning on Hook after. It was rumored this would happen and I didn't like the sound of it as Hook doesn't talk and JB sucks at talking. JB shouldn't be happy about it because he's clearly being groomed for a top role and this turn signifies that they don't think as highly of him anymore.

The Young Bucks, Adam Page, Eddie Kingston and Tomohiro Ishii vs Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Shota Umino and Konosuke Takeshita

Ishii's team got the win here. I really liked this at first, but it just went on and on with everyone getting their own time near the end to hit finishers. The Bucks had two stupid spots here with one spot where a Buck was german suplexed and held onto the other during it, causing him to german suplexed too. The Bucks also tried to break up a rocket launcher spot, but they missed and Yuta did a top rope belly flop onto nothing.

IWGP US Title - Kenny Omega (c) vs Will Osperay

They trade basic holds early and Will handstands out of a headscissors. Will hits forearms and chops. He gets his os cutter blocked and caught and he flips out of Kenny's dragon suplex attempt. Will eye pokes him and pounds on him and Kenny hits a hurricanrana. Kenny rolling death valley drivers him and 2nd rope moonsaults him. Kenny runs the ropes and Don Callis trips him. Will then plancha's him. Kenny is sent into the post.

Will spinning backbreakers him then brainbusters him. Will abdominal stretches him and Kenny hits his over the back legdrop on his neck. Kenny punts his ribs then facebusters him. Kenny is hung over the top rope and Will springboard ssp's onto him. Will then os cutters off the 2nd turnbuckle chain, dropping Kenny on the apron. Will bangs Kenny's head off the table and Kenny is bleeding.

Will slaps him and takes some forearms then Will spinning forearms him. Will running knees him. Will grabs a Canadian flag and abuses it then Omega lariats him. Kenny puts the flag around his throat and throws him. Kenny then hangs him with it. Kenny running knees him against the rails. Kenny bangs Will's head off the steps. Will then starts bleeding.

Kenny ddt's him on the side of the steps then hits mounted shots. Kenny triangles him then powerbombs him out of it. They german suplex each other and Kenny jumping knees him. Will then hits a running spanish fly. Will sharpshooters him then does a crippler crossface. Will hits Kawada kicks and chops then headbutts him.

Will buzzsaw kicks him and superkicks him then Kenny knees him on his Os cutter attempt. Kenny hits snap dragons him the poisonrana's and piledrivers him for 2. Kenny neckbreakers him over the knee. They go up on the buckles and Will superkicks his head into the top buckle. Will then corkscrew moonsaults onto him off the buckles outside.

Will forearms the back of his head off the 2nd buckle. They kick and lariat each other at the same time and Will sit out powerbombs him for 2. Will top rope os cutters him then Kenny hits a beach break. Kenny hits a stiff knee then a running knee. Don Callis gets on the apron to protect Will but Kenny hits a v-trigger on him anyway. Don tries to pull Will out and gives him a screwdriver. Will stabs Kenny with it. Will hits a hidden blade then does his stormbreaker ddt for 2.

Will v-triggers him and hits a one winged angel, which Kenny kicks out of at 1. They immediately get up and slap each other. Kenny knees him and is hook kicked then Kenny brainbusters him. Kenny hits an electric chair into a german suplex. He pumping knees him in the back of the head and takes an elbow. Will hits a tiger driver 91 which of course is only worth a 2 count then Will hits a hidden blade. Will hits a stormbreaker ddt and wins it.

I hated this. They did way too much here and were not that interested in selling it. Kenny kicked out of a one winged angel, which has been super protected here and a tiger driver 91, amongst a million other things.

Darby Allin, Sting and Tetsuya Naito vs Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki

Naito pinned Suzuki to get the win here. I didn't like this. They really tried to make Sting and Jericho facing off a moment and nobody cared. The big spot here was Sammy doing a top rope 630 to the outside onto Sting through a table. It was a dangerous and dumb spot and Sting ended up just getting up 2-3 minutes later and going on like usual. This did make me want to see Sting vs Minoru Suzuki though. I don't know if it would be any good, but that'd be different. The crowd sucked here and it dragged.

Jericho hit Naito with a bat after then Sting hit Jericho with the bat and cleared him off.

Kazuchika Okada vs Bryan Danielson

They go to the mat early and do a test of strength. Bryan puts Okada's knees into the mat and Okada shoulders him over. Bryan flips over him off the buckles and takes a running back elbow. Okada baseball slides him out, throws him into the rails then facekicks him over them. Okada is put into the post then Bryan dropkicks him through the ropes. Bryan then flying knees him off the apron.

Okada is sent into the post and Bryan knee drops his arm as it is draped across the top rope. Bryan hits some downward elbows then puts him in cattle mutiliation. Bryan hits chops and kicks in the corner. Bryan hits forearms then Okada flapjacks him. Okada facekicks Bryan and ddt's him for 2.

Bryan is put on the top rope and dropkicked to the floor. Okada is put into the rails outside then dives over the rails onto Bryan. Okada neckbreakers him over the knee for 2. They fight up top and Bryan top rope dropkicks him. They trade euros and Okada shotgun dropkicks him. Bryan germans him then hits flying kicks.

Okada hits a nice dropkick then hits another. Okada goes for a top rope elbow but Bryan catches it and Fujiwara's him. Bryan topes him, gets caught then flying kicks Okada outside. Bryan hits chest kicks outside then Okada tombstones him on the ramp. Okada top rope elbows him and the doc comes in to check on Bryan. Bryan then hits a flying knee out of a rainmaker attempt.

Bryan gets out of a german and hits a flying knee for 2. Bryan spinning forearms him then buzzsaw kicks him. Bryan runs at Okada and is dropkicked then Okada fire thunders him. Okada rainmakers him for 2. Okada hits short arm lariats then Bryan lebell locks him. Bryan then wins via submission.

The finish didn't really work here. The crowd didn't buy it and didn't cheer for it. Bryan worked the arm some early, forgot about it for most of the match then won with an arm submission. Had they worked the arm more and made it more part of the match, maybe it would have gotten more of a reaction. The match was okay, but it really had no way to live up to its expectations and being the last match on the card when people are kicking out of tiger driver 91's makes it even harder.

Overall thoughts: It was a long show that I had to watch in parts. The match structure was interesting with the three biggest matches happening in opener, middle of the card and at the end of the card. These cards are hard to do because they have no real bearing on the overall picture for either company and they have to build to it for a month, only to completely forget about it after. If you wanted a bunch of AEW/NJPW matches, you got it here and they did try to give people a good show here. It was a good effort.

AEW Dynamite 6/28/2023

AEW Dynamite 6/28/2023

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2023/06/aew-dynamite-6212023.html

Jon Moxley vs Tomohiro Ishii

They butt heads and chop each other. They shoulder battle then forearm each other. Ishii shoulders him over then they bite each other. Mox shoulders him over and Mox topes him outside. Mox is bleeding some of course then Eddie Kingston comes out. Eddie grabs a chair and we go to PiP break. Mox neckbreakers Ishii on the apron. They trade forearms after Mox talks trash to him and Mox gets dropped. Ishii 2nd rope superplexes him then they trade forearms for a while.

Ishii forearm combos him and takes a spinning forearm. Mox hits a gotch style piledriver for 2. Mox then drops downward elbows on him. Ishii backdrops him  and takes a german. Mox lariats him and hits a nice jumping knee. Ishii then jumping knees him. They lariat each other at the same time and go down. They headbutt and slap each other then headbutt each other at the same time. Ishii headbutts him in the chin then takes a ddt for 2.

Ishii double arm ddt's him then hits a nice running lariat for 2. Mox jumping cutters him, Ishii no sells it and lariats him. Mox hits a death rider ddt for 2. Ishii enzugiri's him then takes a curbstomp. Mox then death rider ddt's him and wins it.

It was a strong style match with lots of stiff shots, blood and suplexes. The selling wasn't the best here with both guys not selling anything at points and they did go a little long, but it was a good match otherwise.

Mox then runs into Eddie on his way out.

Renee is in the parking lot talking about the blind tag team lottery. Adam Cole arrives and MJF drives his car kind of fast at him. MJF congratulates Cole for getting sick and getting to miss Forbidden Door. Cole said he was actually sick. MJF said no one is on his level but Cole is close. He said they could run the company together as a team and said they should bond together this weekend. Cole agrees. MJF gets him a t-shirt that says "better than you bay-bay"and Cole walks off.

Renee is with the BCC. Renee ask what is going on out there. Eddie Kingston comes in. He says Mox talked enough. He says he has his back but he's with CC, who is a scumbag. They argue and Renee tries to break it up. She pokes Eddie in the chest and says he better fix this.

We get a video on Omega vs Osperay from the PPV. Kenny says he lost because Will was the better man and he'll be back. Will says he knows a good spot anytime he wants to settle it.

Orange Cassidy, Keith Lee and El Hijo del Vikingo vs The JAS (Daniel Garcia and 2.0)

They have a gaff where they try to show video of how this got set up but Excalibur talked over the wrestlers, so you couldn't hear it. Keith agreed to take this match as no one else is dumb enough to fight him and Vikingo happened to be behind him and both had thumbs up.

Keith's hair is no longer gray. Garcia shoves Vik and dances. Vik handsprings over him then Vik double jump armdrags him. Vik does a nice twisting headscissors. OC takes Angelo Parker's comb and starts doing his stupid pockets routine. He then combs his own hair with the comb. OC armdrags Garcia then Vik top rope double stomps Garcia while he's in a bow and arrow. Vik then running ssp's Garcia.

Parker double axe handles Vik's arm. Vik takes a backdrop from Garcia. We go to PiP break and return. Vik takes a splash and Menard powerbombs him. Parker elbows Vik's back off of Menard. Lee slingshot crossbodies both of 2.0 then beats up on the heels. The heels club his back then Garcia gets on his back and dances. Lee gets up and keeps him on his back then lariats 2.0. Lee double chops Garcia. Vik tope con hilos Lee and Lee is supposed to catch him but doesn't. Lee then grabs Vik and swings him into the heels. Vik is thrown up into the post from the outside by Lee, but he fails to catch himself. Vik then top rope moonsaults onto his opponents.

Garcia piledrivers OC for 2. Vik takes a back body drop over the top and OC orange punches Parker. Menard hits chops and lariats on Lee then Lee does an F-U into a body press and wins it.

It had the usual OC goofing around and all the botches on the high points of the match brought it down. I thought this also went longer than it needed to. At least Lee finally got rid of his horrible gray beard and hair.

OC puts his sunglasses on Vikingo after.

The Young Bucks and Adam Page are interviewed. Page said they have an open challenge then the Dark Order walks in.  One of the Bucks keeps talking and Silver said they have three men right there. He says they will kick their @sses. Page offers to make it a 12 man tag, but Alex says they are here to fight him. He said you can't just not talk to us for months and everything will be okay. Page said he was sorry but Uno said that wasn't enough. Uno said he abandoned them. Page asked if he is responsible for them or their baby sitter. Alex gets mad at him and says they were his friend at his lowest point. He said they aren't his friend anymore, they are his opponents. This was pretty well done, but would have been better if they showed the Order looking for Page for the last few months and him not being there or something.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara are interviewed. Chris says tonight Sting gets his nightmare. He said Sting isn't facing him, but the Painmaker. He says let's put the white paint in the dirt until it becomes a bloody mess.

The Elite (Adam Page and The Young Bucks vs The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds and John Silver)

Page and Alex argue. Alex rolls up Matt and Matt uses the ropes to flip out of an armlock. Matt armlocks him then walks up the ropes and armdrags him. Silver and Page argue and Page headlock takeovers him. Silver is shouldered and then poses, saying he's freaking jacked. Silver back elbows him then Uno shoulders over Matt. Uno knocks Page off the apron.

Silver takes a double dropkick from the Bucks then Alex takes a backbreaker and neckbreaker combo. Uno double lariats The Bucks and argues with Page. Page goes away then Uno is double superkicked. The Bucks double dive on the Dark Order outside. We go to break and return.

One of the Bucks is sent into the buckles then Alex pop up knees the other Buck. Uno facekicks a Buck and lariats the other Buck. Uno brainbusters one of them then neckbreakers Matt. Uno piledrivers Matt then slaps Page. Page and Uno hit each other  and Nick is back body dropped over the top. Page goes to slam Uno but Silver dropkicks Uno into him. Uno cannonballs off the apron and the bucks take tornado ddt's on the floor and a double stomp on the floor. The D-O do their combo on Page for 2. Nick hits a slingshot facebuster on Uno then moonsaults off the apron outside. The bucks dive on Uno and Alex and Silver hurricanrana's Page off a buckshot lariat attempt.

Silver hits kicks on Page then takes deadeye. Silver takes a bte trigger and a buckshot lariat for the Elite pin.

They did too much here as usual and pretty much rushed through the last part of this with lots of big moves. The Elite of course had to get the win here. I thought it was decent otherwise.

The Elite are jumped from behind by the BCC after and hit with chairs. Takeshita is with them and Mox is putting a screwdriver in Page's head. The Dark Order leave and don't help. Eddie Kingston comes out and is chaired and Page is bleeding. Mox says this has been a real blast and this needs to come to an end. Mox said they pushed each other to their limits now they need to do it beyond their limits. Mox says Blood and Guts.

We see the same Owen Hart Tournament package we saw on Collision.

Adam Cole and Roderick Strong talk about MJF in the parking lot. Strong says Cole can't trust MJF. MJF comes in and makes a racial slur towards Strong and tells Cole that they should get ouf of here as the place sucks. Thye then drive away in a car.

Jungle Boy comes out to talk. He cuts out his own music and says that song won't be used again. He said he has a car waiting for him to go to the airport and says the fans are stuck here with the wildfires. JB says he is young, cashing checks and banging the hottest girl in this place. He said he has been robbed of two titles  and said Hook is entitled. He said his title isn't recognized by this company and said he was a fraud. He said he never needed him and JungleHook was special because of him. He said Hook was lucky to stand next to him. He said he will take the FTW Title from him as he knows what it means to him. Hook then comes out. JB runs, Hook runs after him and that's the end of the segment. JB did better here with the heel promo than he usually does with face promos.

The commentator's talk and JB dives into a car, running from Hook. Hook chases after him then knocks over a garbage can.

Ruby Soho vs Alexia Nicole

Alexia takes an STO then is pounded on. Ruby stomps her in the corner and throws her out. Toni and Saraya stomp Alexia outside. Ruby backdrops Alexia then puts her in Britt's lockjaw finisher and wins it.

This was a short squash and not much else. Alexia is spray painted after.

Ruby gets on the mic after and says Britt is sick and not here. Ruby says Britt will face her next week and says Adam Cole didn't even show up at Forbidden Door. Ruby said if Britt and Cole have kids, they will be weak. She tells Britt to get her head out of the toilet. Ruby said she will take her chance of winning the Owen Hart tournament away from her and said she will be left with what she is - nothing.

QT Marshall, Harley Cameron and Johnny TV are interviewed. Johnny says Johnny TV is now in production. He said QTV and Johnny TV always make hits.

Tornado Tag Match - Sting and Darby Allin vs Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara

Jericho's wearing facepaint here and wore a mask for his entrance.  Darby shotgun dropkicks Sammy out to start. Jericho hits Sting in the arm with a bat. Sting and Jericho then duel bats. Sting hits him in the gut with the bat then splashes him in the corner. Sammy jumps off the top and hits Darby with a cutter. Jericho chairs Darby then backdrops him on the apron. Darby is thrown into steps outside and flips over them over the rail.

They fight in the crowd during the break. Jericho is hi with a chair and Jericho hits Sting with a sign. Sammy jumps off the rails and cutters Darby. Darby hits a coffin drop from the top to the floor. They set up two tables together outside then a ladder is set up in the ring.  Sting and Darby climb up the ladder then Sting dives off the ladder onto Sammy, banging his mouth off the table edge.

Darby topes Jericho on the other end then top rope stomps a skateboard into his back. Darby is whipped into the ladder and Jericho drops the ladder onto his back. Jericho is irish whipped face first into a ladder then Jericho hits Darby in the back with a skateboard as he goes for a coffin drop. Jericho knocks Darby out of the ring with a judas effect. Sting is put in a boston crab and hits Jericho with a bat out of it.

Sting splashes Jericho in the corner then Jericho codebreakers Sting. Sting then scorpion deathdrops him. Sting then taps out Jericho with a scorpion deathlock.

The Sting spot was stupid. He shouldn't have done it nor been allowed to do it. Ladder spots to the outside often don't go well and he's too old to be out there as is. The match was decent otherwise with blood and violence.

Overall thoughts: There was a lot of good stuff here but the good stuff still had room for improvement. The Dark Order stuff would have been better if it was built up. The OC trios tag would have been better without OC in it. The Elite/Order tag would have been better if they did less. JB did okay with his heel promo and Mox/Ishii was good. This was a good show overall.
