The next Collision is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/aew-collision-saturday-tailgate-brawl.html

This is a 3 hour special. We are in London, Ontario, Canada. Technically, the 3rd hour of this is listed as Collision as due to All Out, there is no Collision this week.

Tony Schiavone is hosting a contract signing for Adam Page vs Kyle Fletcher. They come out, as does Don Callis. Don says he's been waiting to get the AEW Title back and found someone who is bigger and faster than Page or Omega. He says there's nothing Page can do to Kyle.

Page says he wants Kyle to do this on his own. He says he sees the potential in him. He says Kyle could be in AEW for decades and he could be looked to as someone who can carry AEW in the future. He says Kyle has to be worthy of it.

Page says if Kyle reads the contract, he will find out that Kyle will lose the match and be stripped of the TNT Title if Don Callis or any of his buddies get involved. Kyle says he's scared of nothing. He says no one else will be involved but it changes nothing. He says he's the best wrestler to step in an AEW ring.

Kyle says he's better than Page when he won the AEW Title and he's better than him now. He says AEW doesn't need him or Omega anymore. Kyle says this company belongs to him.

Adam says Kyle will hurt after losing at All Out. He says Kyle won't do enough to beat him. He tells Kyle not to disappoint him. Kyle says he will leave with the TNT Title and AEW Title on Saturday. He says he will leave Page beaten, bloodied and unable to walk out on his own feet.

We get a promo compilation between Darby and Mox.

Jon Moxley vs Roderick Strong

Roderick Strong chops Mox outside. Mox eye rakes RS. RS backbreakers Mox on the rail top. Mox foot chokes him in the corner. Mox hits mounted corner punches and they chop each other. RS runs into Marina Shafira outside and Mox hits RS while he's distracted. RS is thrown over a rail.

We go to PiP break and return. Mox chicken wings RS. RS jawbreakers him out of it. RS lariats him and leg lariats. RS gutbusters him then drops him chest for 2.

They trade chops. Mox lariats him. Mox piledrivers him. Mox armbars him. They trade forearms. RS sick kicks him then olympic slams him. Mox then does a bulldog choke.

RS olympic slams him again. Mox is up top and is enzugiri'd. RS kind of drops him off the top chest first but it also looked like Mox bulldogged him off the top. RS rams Mox out of the ring and goes with him. Daniel Garcia grabs Rs as he tries to get in then he fights with Kyle O'Reilly.

RS jumping knees Mox. Wheeler Yuta trips RS. Mox paradigm shift ddt's RS and Mox bulldog chokes RS. RS submits.

Thoughts:
It was okay. There was a lot of striking here and a fair bit of shenanigans going on outside during this. Mox won as expected.

We get a video on MJF/Mark Briscoe.

We see clips from Collision of MJF talking to Tony Khan. He claims Tony screwed him by changing the rules of the world title match contract he has. He also doesn't want do the tables and thumbtacks match. Tony says MJF violated the rules of AEW and the integrity of AEW. MJF says he's proud of him for putting his big boy pants on and says he hopes he's happy when he puts another Briscoe in the dirt. He says it won't be on him but on Tony.

Bobby Lashley vs Toa Liona

They lock up and let go. Toa backs him up in the corner then hits elbows and boots. He foot chokes him there. Toa chokes him on the ropes and bangs his head off the buckles. Toa clubs him and hits forearms.

Bob hits punches and forearms in the corner. Toa stands on Bob. Toa headbutts him on the apron then samoan drops him on the apron. We go to PiP break and return.

Toa hits mounted corner shots. Bob electric chair drops Toa. Bob hits forearms and punches. Bob lariats him. Toa lariats him back. Bob overhead belly to belly suplexes him. Bob hits a corner spear. Bob flatliners him.

Bob goes for a spear and Toa goes out. Bob runs around the ring and spears him on the floor. MVP then nails Ricochet outside and throws him into the rails. Kaun distracts Bobby and Shelton superkicks him. Toa pounces Bob for 2. Bob grounded full-nelson's him. Toa is out and loses.

Thoughts: It looked like a decent power match on paper and it was. It was just two bigger guys clubbing on each other and they did an okay job of it. MVP also got a really nice shot in on Ricochet outside.

The Hurt's and Ricochet's crew fight after the match. Ric gets hit with MVP's cane. MVP also hits a hard shot on Kaun.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring. He says we will see two of the greatest tag teams step in the ring at All Out. He brings out Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and FTR. FTR has a bunch of security with them. Stokeley Hathaway warns Cage/Cope they will be fined if they touch him and he will cancel the match.

Cash says he met Cope for the first time 16 years ago. He says Cope was a big star then and he was a nobody. He said they became friends and Cope became his mentor. He said Cope told him he could get him opportunities but said Cope kicked the door down. Cash says he kicked the door down and FTR became living legends.

Cash says they got Cope to AEW and said it became The Cope Show once they did. Cash said they were expected to be the supporting cash and do all the work. Cash says they helped him get his career back and will take it away for good.

Dax says Cope and Cage were the best tag team in the world at one time but were carried by 2 other teams. Dax says they carried tag wrestling on their back. He names the teams they fought. He says they won 10 titles in 7 brands. He says this is a dream match for Cope and Cage and says they need it to be a dream match. Dax says don't make them end their lives Saturday.

Cope says Stoke gets no hoes and says to keep Beth Phoenix's name off his lips as she will slap him. Cope says they opened the doors to get them hired. He said he came to AEW to get them hired. He says they aren't in the spotlight as the fans want him in the spotlight. Cope says they are in the discussion as being one of the greatest teams and says welcome to the club as they were were for 25 years. Cope says it'll be 2 of the greatest teams facing off for the first time on Saturday. Cope says they will understand why there is only one of them when they lay fists to their faces. Cope says FTR will understand why Cope and Cage are better than them.

Cage says Stoke could get hoes with the money from fines. Cage says $500,000 doesn't mean a lot to him because he's rich. Cope and Cage then hit FTR and security breaks it up. A guard takes a shatter machine from FTR then another takes a killswitch. Cope spears a guard. The two teams fight. FTR backs off and Dax has a seriously bloody nose.

Thoughts: It was an okay segment and I think they are finally getting the idea of what this is supposed to be. Sadly, it's a little late.

Renee interviews The Young Bucks. The Bucks say they are back after winning money last week and have new suits. They say tonight is the beginning of their redemption tour. He says they will beat The Bang Bang Gang, go onto the ladder match and become tag champs. The Bucks then give Renee $10,000 to buy something with.

JR is dropkicked through the ropes then Gunn is flipping neckbreakered into a backbreaker.

We go to break and return. Gunn throws a Buck out. Gunn goes for the tag but JR is pulled off the apron. Gunn takes a step up knee in the corner, an assisted shiranui and a running knee for 2.

A Buck tries to pay the ref off and the ref throws the money up. A Buck is then rolled up. The other Buck is tagged in and he takes a tilt-a-whirl slam.

JR shoulders over a Buck then running elbows him. JR hits a side russian legsweep and a senton. JR hits punches on the other Buck.  JR hits a corner lariat and corner cannonball. Gunn running lariats a Buck for 2. Gunn is pulled over the top. JR takes a slingshot facebuster. Gunn then fameassers a Buck on the floor. JR dropkicks a Buck off the ropes. JR is kicked from the apron then a Buck corkscrew dives out on their opponents.

The Bucks sunset flip the other into a german on JR. JR is swept and takes a double superkick for 2. The Bucks miss a BTR trigger. JR hits punches on a Buck, is superkicked then hits a lariat in return. Gunn catches a Buck with a flatliner. JR hits a blade runner on a Buck for 2.

JR top rope hurricanrana's a Buck but the Buck rolls through. They each try pin attempts. Gunn is back body dropped over the top. JR takes a meltzer driver and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was the same Bucks match as always with them hitting all of their spots. It moved fast though and it was alright. The Bucks were the favorite here and won as expected. These guys do not like to miss PPV's.

Willow Nightingale's Tailgate Brawl team does a promo. Willow says she's used to this. Harley says they aren't bringing the pain but the propane. Skye and Hart (from the other team) say they are bringing the mayhem and violence and do some kind of poem en stereo.

MD corkscrew headscissors Mort. MD goes from the post and diving tornillo armdrags Mort. Mort flips over MD's back then shoulders him over. Mort tornillo topes MD through the ropes. MD is sent into the rails.

We go to PiP break and return. MD flips off of his shoulders. MD seated springboards off the ropes with an armdrag. MD satellite headscissors Mort. MD pump kicks Mort. MD canadian destroyers Mort on the apron. MD tornillo suicide dives him.

MD top rope corkscrew headscissors him down for 1. MD tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. MD hits a top rope SSP and wins.

Thoughts: Like a lot of Mort's singles matches, they did way too much and none of it meant anything. They also had a lot of sloppy moments here. I was surprised MD won as Mort is used more, but the 3-way would have been all heels if Mort had win so I guess this is why they did it.

Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada come out together with 3 titles. Konosuke Takeshita then comes out. KT stares down Okada. Don tries to play peacemaker. MD springboard crossbodies Okada and then stares at Takeshita.

Toni Storm talks on the stage. She makes innuedos as usual and says she's still the champ. She says she doesn't know for how much longer though. She says she has lived every day as if it's her last since she won the title. She says she loved every second of it as AEW is where the best wrestle. She says if you aren't willing to put your life on the line when you step in the ring, you ain't sh!t. Toni says it's the honor of her life it's the end of her reign. She says if you want to take her title, she suggests burning her body to the ground and takes a puff of her burning ashes.

Jamie Hayter comes out and takes the mic. She says she's not a fan of the spotlight. She says Toni can keep it but it won't look so good without the title. She says she doesn't forget, Toni invited her into this match and Hayter hits hard.

Kris Statlander comes out. She says she isn't sure if she has a claim. She says she hasn't wrestled for the title in 4 years. She says neither of them has the ovaries for it. She says you can't stop Stat. Toni says they will go all out.

Thekla then interrupts but refs come with her to stop a possible fight.

No Holds Barred Match - Thekla vs Queen Aminata

QA throws a trash can in. She pulls Thek out. They pound on each other outside. QA forearms her and sends her into the rail. QA suplexes Thek on the floor.

Thek facekicks QA as she gets in. Thek hits her with a kendo stick then throws it at her as she goes out. QA is thrown over the rail. QT hits her with a trash can lid off the rails.

We go to PiP break and return. QA hits her as she hangs over the top rope. QA bridging cutters her on a trash can for 2. Thek chairs her then spears her into an open chair.

Thek slaps her and is forearmed. Thek hits forearms and spin kicks her in the gut. QA headbutts her for 2. We now go to the 3rd hour of the show. Thek hits QA with a trash can lid. QA slaps her up top then is hit with the trash can lid. Thek spider superplexes her.

QA throws a chair in her face. QA fisherman's busters her for 2. QA misses a legdrop off the buckles and Thek curbstomps her into a chair for the win.

Thoughts:
It was a stiff one. Thek took a nasty looking bridging cutter on a trash can and Queen seemed to hurt her elbow at one point. It was mostly hardcore wrestling but I liked it.

Thek gets on the mic and says Toni's reign ends right here. Toni comes in and takes her down. Toni hits mounted punches. Toni boots her. Jamie Hayter comes down. Kris pulls her down off the apron and they fight outside. Skye Blue and Julia Hart come out to help. Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir then come out. Kris tells them to leave.

Daniels says he has Top Flight's back and tells him to watch out for Kyle at All Out.

AEW World Tag Title Ladder Match Qualifier - Killswitch and Kip Sabian vs Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey

Kip shoulders Kevin over. Kevin dropkicks Kip and armdrags him. Kevin slams Kip. Kill blocks Kevin's armdrag. Kill takes a dropkick from Mike then is pulled over the top. Kip takes a double hiptoss. Kip pele kicks Mike. Kip goes for the tag and Kill pulls away. Kevin springboard lariats Kip. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks Kip and wins.

Thoughts
: It was a fast paced and high flying tag as you would expected. They pushed Killswitch and Kip not getting along and had Kill turn on him at the end. That's a new one and I'm not sure what it was about. The match was fine and Mike and Kevin won as expected.

Big Bill and Bryan Keith talk. Bill says it's him for Eddie at All Out. He says he won't believe it until Eddie shows up and he doesn't think it will happen. He says he won't blame him if he doesn't want to come to Canada, which is an international embarrassment. He says Eddie has been watching him have the run of his life and crack skulls. He says if Eddie steps in the ring, he will realize he doesn't belong in the same ring as him. He says if Eddie shows up, he will get exposed as a fraud. Bryan then yells "fraud".

Bryan Danielson interviews Darby Allin from earlier in the day. He asked him why he climbed Mt. Everest. Darby says he felt life he was living life for someone else. He said he wanted to remind people what he was capable of. He says you can't politic your way up there. He is asked if he feels ready for the match on Saturday. He says he doesn't know. He tells him not to get involved. Bryan says he can't say that. Darby asks him to give him his word. He says he won't get involved. Bryan then makes him promise something in his ear that we can't hear.

We go to the announcers and Bryan says he won't say what he told him.

Riho vs Robyn Renegade

Mercedes Mone is on commentary for this. RR has green and blue on, ditching the black gear.

RR boots Riho in the knee and side headlocks her. Riho stomps her foot and side headlocks her. Riho flying headscissors RR. Riho dropkicks her through the ropes. Riho top rope plancha's RR outside. Riho then argues with Mone.

We go to PiP break and return. Riho's top rope crossbody is caught. Riho is put in tree of woe and takes a hard footpress down. RR pump kicks Riho in the corner for 2. Riho rolls Rr into a double stomp.

Riho misses a top rope move. RR back elbows her. Riho suplexes her. Riho crucifix bombs her for the win.

Thoughts: Riho had trouble with the finisher here. Riho took a nasty looking footpress down in the corner while in tree of woe. It was about average.

Mone and Riho stare down after. RR grabs Riho and Mone backcrackers Riho.

We get a recap on The Acclaimed and Jerry Lynn.

The Death Riders do a video on The Opps. They say they aren't as bad as they think. Grcia says Shibata never cared about him and he's surrounded by people who care. He invites him to see him Saturday. The Opps talk. Joe says Garcia wants to be somebody and has to call out people who scare everybody. He says they hear him loud and clear and accept.

AEW World Tag Title Ladder Match Qualifier - The Don Callis Family (Hechicero and Josh Alexander) vs Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin)

Don Calis does intros for his team and does a good job of it. Hech and Darius lock up. Hech trips him. Darius sweeps him and rolls him up for 1. Darius cradles him and they stand off.

Darius takes a double boot, goes up and over and Dante top rope crossbodies the heels. Dante enzugiri's Josh then corner lariats him. Josh is suplexed then takes a slinshot swanton. Hech is atomic dropped and bulldoged onto Dante's knee. Darius tornado ddt's Josh off of Dante.

All 4 go out. Josh crossbodies Darius' back on the apron. We go to PiP break and return. Darius stops a double team. He goes up and over Josh. Dante comes in and hits forearms on Josh. Dante jumping knees Josh the flying headscissors him. Dante double springboard moonsaults Josh for 2.

Dante stunners Hech over the top rope. Hech is knocked off the apron and Darius plancha's him. Josh germans Darius twice. Josh is supposed to jump over Josh but lands hard on his neck. Josh then takes a poisonrana.

Josh backdrops Darius. Hech step up knees Dante in the corner. Dante takes a spinebuster then a ddt for 2. Josh hits Darius on a tope and Darius crashes to the ground outside. Dante topes Josh.

Dante goes up top and is pushed off. Hech headscissors drops Dante and pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. Josh took 3 awful shots to the neck and didn't look right after. It was a bit rushed here as well. Both Dante and Darius have put on weight.

Lance Archer and Rocky Romero come in. They beat up Top Flight and surround Daniels. Scorpio Sky and JetSpeed save him. The Bucks come out and join the fight. Brody King and Bandido then join the fight.

Bandido does an assisted moonsault out. Lance facekicks Daniels outside. Lance goes for a chokeslam. Adam Page comes out. He hits shots on Rocky and Lance. He throws Rocky out and spinning forearms Lance. He then lariats Lance over the top. Kyle Fletcher comes out to attack Page and does. Kyle hits mounted shots on Page.

Page is beaten up by The Don Callis Family. Page lariats Kyle in the ring and Kyle hits him with a title belt when Page goes for a buckshot lariat. Kyle suplexes Page off the apron through a table. Kyle poses with the TNT and AEW Titles after.

Thoughts:
Page took a pretty big bump through that table. I would think it would put him out of the title match though it won't.

Overall thoughts: It was a longer show at 3 hours. The show was mostly fine and there weren't too many big developments as the PPV is only a few days away. Thekla/Queen was fine. Lashley/Toa was my favorite match of the night. The Bucks had a watchable match (though they did the same stuff they always do) and we had Killswitch turn on Kip Sabian in a surprising moment. It was a heavy wrestling edition as expected. Most of the matches were okay enough here, mostly everything made sense and I'd give this  a 7 out of 10 total. Like with AEW PPV's, they have a large and mostly talented roster and when they have so many matches, it adds up and it's hard to really give the show a bad rating when they have so many okay matches. I can't say they've done a great job with All Out though as they didn't try their best and the card feels pretty weak compared to past cards.
