NWA Powerrr 11/12/2024

NWA Powerrr 11/12/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/nwa-powerrr-1152024.html

They started off with an intergender match that I won't be covering. Carson Drake did a promo after losing it.

Primo and Epico Colon are interviewed. Primo says business is about to pick up. He says they are here and one of the best tag teams in the world.

Submission Match - Zyon vs Jax Dane

Austin Idol is suspended for this due to cumulative actions (according to Corgan) and this match is happening due to Zyon and Jax's tag match from 2 weeks ago

Jax shoves him over on the lock-up. Jax overhead suplexes him then shoulders him over. Jax hits another overhead belly to belly. Jax spears the post when Zyon moves. Zyon then knees him in the head against the post. Zyon stomps on him then suplexes him. Zyon wraps Jax's arm around the post and pulls. Zyon fist drops Jax's arm. Zyon armbars him.

Zyon flatliners him for 2. Jax samoan drops him then hits a big lariat. Jax camel clutches him and Zyon submits.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one here. Zyon worked the arm but Jax threw him around and ended up winning with a camel clutch. It was average and wasn't much of note.

Natalia Markova talks about The Paige Sisters. She says she can't trust them and says she is not going to wait until the next big show for a title match. She says she wants it next week and says if Kenzie thinks she can't win the big one, let's find out.

Mims vs Sodapop Hendrix

Mims clubs on Soda and hits a punch flurry in the corner. Mims stomp flurries him then throws him. Soda hits some shots and Mima shoulders him over. Mims spinebusters him. Paul Birchall comes out and gets Mims attention. Mims goes out and they talk.

Mims misses a corner splash. Soda hits shots on him and step up enzugiri's him. Mims is supposed to catch Soda off a top rope crossbody but doesn't. Mims then backdrops him. Mims heart punches Soda and wins.

Thoughts: It was another shorter match and wasn't that good. They botched the one big highspot they had here with Mims dropping him when he was supposed to catch him. It looks like we have something going on with Birchall and Mims now.

NWA Tag Titles - Mike Knox and Murdoch vs Jake Powers and Christian Hunter

Knox backs Jake up in the corner. Knox is called a freak and takes a forearm. Knox hits punches and headbutts him. Knox corner splashes him then punches him. Knox leg lariats him on the ropes. Jake takes a double back body drop.

Jake boots him out of the corner and Murdoch short-arm lariats him. Murdoch bakcdrops him. Hunter pounds on Murdoch. Murdoch hits a sky high on him. Hunter takes a high/low then is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a squash here with two random people. Knox and Murdoch won as expected.

AJ Cazana vs Tommy Rant

AJ hits a big punch. Rant fires back and hits corner spears. AJ back elbows him. AJ does into the post shoulder first when Rant moves. Rant goes to dive on him but AJ hides behind Joe Cazana outside. Joe yells at Rant then AJ trips Rant on the apron.

AJ hits some shots in the corner then AJ is pulled into the buckles. Rant lariats AJ then flying lariats him. Joe Cazana distracts Rant on the apron. Rant nails AJ then AJ double cross-chops Rant. Tommy's partner Sage Chance gets on the apron. KC Cazana then comes out and trips Sage, then sends him into the steps. Joe hits Rant with his book then AJ hits a spinebuster to pin Rant.

Thoughts: This was a bit random but there was a purpose to it. They definitely set-up something with The Cazana's and The Slimeballz for a future show. The match had a ton of shenanigans here and was not that good.

The Southern Six (Silas Mason and Kerry Morton) vs Colby Corino and Kyle Davis

This was set up last week when Kyle got smart with The Six and got beaten up. Colby came to his rescue but got beaten up too.

Kyle is wearing a hoodie jacket and shorts here and Kerry tries to kick him on the apron. Kerry armlocks CC then CC hammerlocks him. Kerry snapmares him and CC armlocks him. Kerry reverses it then does an air crash for 2. Kyle is tagged in and hits a double back elbow with CC.

Kyle unzips his jacket and has a tanktop on. He's actually bigger body wise than Kerry is. Kerry backs him up in the corner and misses a charge. Kerry side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Kyle gets some shots in then is knee'd. Kerry hits him in the back of the head. Kyle drops down, loses his shoe and gets kicked. Kerry walks over Kyle's back.

Kerry talks trash to CC then Kyle exploders Kerry. Kyle runs into a double boot in the corner. Kyle and Silas square off. Silas blocks his punches then hits a stiff headbutt. Silas hits a razor's edge for 2.

CC comes to Kyle's aide and hits shots on the heels. The ref puts CC back on the apron. Kerry trips CC from the apron and knees him in the gut. Kyle spits in Silas' face. Silas hits a thrill ride black hole slam and pins him.

Thoughts: They did what they were supposed to here. Kyle's a former wrestler so I guess you can excuse him going even with Kerry here but it's not a good look when the announer is bigger than your wrestlers. Kyle got the crap kicked out of him as expected and was pinned.

The Six beat down the faces after and Kyle takes another thrill ride. Joe Galli tries to get involved and is kicked. Bryan Idol comes out and hits Kerry from behind. He pulls Silas over the top and Joe Galli threatens The Six with a metal pipe.

Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of this. You can only go so far with announcers vs wrestlers and it seems like this is going to continue. It looks like it might be Bryan Idol, Colby and maybe Kyle next time vs The Southern Six though.

Overall thoughts: It was a better show than usual though that's not saying a lot. They had a couple of random matches and an intergender match I didn't watch. Mims' match seemed to build to something with him and Birchall, Cazana/Rant seems to be building to a tag and the main is building to something, but I don't know what. The question is can they follow up on these situations. I would give this a 4 out of 10 and I didn't think it was good.
