TNA Xplosion 11/8/2024
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/tna-xplosion-1112024.html
Hammerstone and Jake Something vs Bhupinder Gujjar and Jack Price
Hammer rams BG in the corner then belly to belly suplexes him. BG sunset flips him for 2. Jack hits punches on Hammer. Jack is caught on a handspring and takes a release german. Hammer pump kicks Jack then Jake spears Jack in the corner. Hammer powerslams Jack and Jake bodyblocks Jack.
Hammer knees Jack in the face. Jake hits knees to the body of Jack. Jack back elbows Jake. Jake misses a corner charge. Jack flips out of a back drop then dropkicks Jake. BG is tagged in. BG back elbows Jake then flying forearms him. BG hits a superkick. BG springboards and is caught.
BG tags out and Jack runs into a black hole slam. Hammer hits a nightmare pendulum on Jack and wins.
Thoughts: We knew Hammer and Jake were winning here and the question was how long would it take. It took longer than I expected. It was basically just a squash.
Around the Ring with Gia Miller
Steve Maclin is this week's guest. Steve says his wife asks him random history questions out of boredom. He says he was asked about the 100 Year War, which wasn't 100 years long. Gia mentions she has a pink chainsaw. Steve says his dogs are his life and he talks about them. He says his third dog Oliver is too cute to be mad at when he makes mistakes. Steve says his dog Honey has a southern accent that sounds like Gia. Gia says she needs Honey to make an appearance on the show. Steve says Honey gets scared from various sounds though so she may not appear.
Silas Young vs Laredo Kid
Young wristlocks him. Kid headflips out. Young side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Kid backrolls him then 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Kid flying headscissors him then superkicks him out. Kid swantons Young off the post outside.
Young backbreakers him, sits him on his knee and lariats him. Kid is thrown hard into the buckles. Kid hits forearms then Young lariats him. Young elbow drops him. Young suplexes him then armlocks him.
Kid boots him out of the corner. Kid hits a top rope dropkick. Kid neckbreakers him. Young finlay rolls him then misses his seated moosault. Kid hits a 450 and wins.
Thoughts: They didn't get a lot of time here and did what they could with it. Young got his usual spots in. Kid did a nice swanton off the post and won with a 450. It was fine for what it was but it wasn't much.
Overall thoughts: There were only 2 new matches here and a new interview segment as usual. Neither were great but they didn't have enough time to be. They got as much out of the main as they could. It's not a show you need to see but nothing was awful.
