CMLL 11/1/2024 Rey Del Inframundo 2024

CMLL 11/1/2024 Rey Del Inframundo 2024

Everything is Dia de los Muertos themed for this one with skeleton guardians, ring girls and refs wearing facepaint. They also dimmed the lights so all the neon colors glow.

Pequeno Olimpico, Pequeno Violencia & Pierrothito vs. Galaxy, Shockercito & Ultimo Dragoncito

UD = Ultimo Dragoncito, Vio = Pequeno Violencia, Olim = Pequeno Olimpico

Pier and Gal start us off. They trip each other and stand off. Gal armdrags him and uses the ropes to armdrag him.  Olim and UD go at it. UD backrolls him and they stand off soon after. Vio and Shock get in. Vio waistlock takedowns him and Shock armdrags him. Shock hits a dropkick. Shock is hiptossed into the ropes and he armdrags off of it. He then headscissors Vio out.

Gal and Pier get in. Gal walks up the buckles and is in tree of woe. Pier stomps on Gal and boots him. Gal takes a double hiptoss into a triple powerbomb. Vio and Olim then stomp on Gal. Shock gets triple teamed. He is held in the air for a dropkick to the butt.

UD counters a triple team and his partners hit springboard diving armdrags. UD's team then does triple topes out. They get back in and UD pins Olim. Gal springboard dropkicks Vio then top rope moonsaults him outside. Shock springboard crossbodies Pier and has him tapped out with la atlantida's but the ref doesn't see it as he's arguing with Olim. Pier low blows shock and pins him.

Thoughts: Starting the show off with a dirty finish is a brave move. It was more acceptable than some other ones though as it was believable and made sense. The match was a little on the shorter end and was nothing of note.

Pier and UD talk on the mic after.

Disturbio, Felino Jr. & Okumura vs. Brillante Jr., Dulce Gardenia & Pelon Encapuchado

Dulce ducks a double team shot then topes Dis outside. Brill does a corkscrew tope outside and Pel sunset flips Oku. Pel rolls Oku up with a crucifix and pins him. Brillante's team wins the fall and match.

Thoughts: The earlier falls were better than the last fall, which was a bit short. It was alright. Not great or memorable but Dulce had good timing here. I think this did what it was supposed to.

Reyna Isis, Sanely & Zeuxis vs. Kira, La Catalina & Tessa Blanchard

Z = Zeuxis

Sane has paint around her mouth that makes it look like she has a beard. Cat gets blocked by the mini skeleton guards on her way to the ring.

Tess hits a samoan drop on Sane and corkscrew slingslot splashes her. Cat 2nd rope crossbodies Reyna and pins her. Tess picks up the pin as well. Kira's team wins the fall and match.

Thoughts: It was a little hard to follow with the lighting being darker and the match being faster, making it tougher to figure out who was who. It was your usual average women's match for the most part.

The skeleton guards drag the losers of the match out with a lot of resistance.

Atlantis Jr. helps show off some new CMLL themed tennis racket in the ring.

CMLL Rey Del Inframundo Title Rey Del Inframundo 2024 Final Four Way Elimination Match - El Barbaro Cavernario (c) vs. Difunto vs. Xelhua vs. Barboza

BC = Barbaro Cavernario

It's kind of funny here as everyone is wearing Halloween themed stuff but Barboza and Difunto do that normally anyway and didn't need to change much. Cavernario has someone with him with a bears head and a stick with a skull on it.

BC gets triple booted to start. BC takes corner attacks then a triple basement dropkick. BC rolls into an enzugiri on Xel then suplexes Dif. BC lariats Barboza over the top  then runs up the buckles and does a triple springbord crossbody outside.

Dif and BC take their shirts off then chop each other. BC spinebusters Dif then surfboards him. Dif surfboards BC and tries to pin him off of it. BC pop-up powerbombs Dif. BC leglocks him but Dif ropebreaks. Dif gets his feet up on BC's springboard splash. Dif walks up the ropes and springboard lariats BC. BC takes a back body drop and a dropkick out. Dif walks up the ropes and dives on BC outside.

BC does Theory's ataxia move on Dif. BC splashes Dif for 2. Barb corner lariats Dif then corner chops him. Dif shotgun dropkick Barb then corner dropkicks him. Dif walks the ropes and dropkicks him. Dif then gets the win.

Thoughts:
I wasn't a fan of it. It went long. Cavernario was in there a bit too long despite being more limited and the booking was weird as Xelhua was put over early then got eliminated. I didn't feel like Difunto got to show enough here and I didn't think they did a great job in building him to win.

Dif is then given a title belt and a skull on a stick.

Esfinge, Mistico & Neon vs. Los Depredadores (Magia Blanca, Rugido & Volador Jr.)

1st Fall - Rug and Neon go at it. Rug is back body dropped and Neon crucifixes him. Rug botches a japanese armdrag on Neon and knees him. Neon spinning headscissors Rug. Mist is popped up and headscissors MB. Mist walks u pthe ropes and corkscrew armdrags Rug down. Mist springbord diving armdrags Rug out.

Vol is crotched on the top rope then Mist springboard hurricanrana's him. MB walks up the buckles and tornillos off the top. Esf takes a spinning torture rack bomb from MB. Neon double jump moonsaults MB for 2.

Neon misses a double jump moonsault then Rug germans him. Rug pins Neon. Esf dropkicks Rug out. Vol superkicks Esf and backcrackers him. Mist enzugiri's MB up top then hits a spanish fly on him. Mist pins MB.

Vol and Mist square off. Mist springboard headscissors Vol out. Mist tornillo plancha's Vol outside. Rug japanese armdrags Esf then taps him out with an armbar. Volador's team wins the 3rd fall and the match.

Thoughts: It was a decent main here. Not great or anything and maybe it went a little long but I was fine with it. It was not a strong main on paper. I thought Mistico put out a good effort in this one and Neon's flying was on target.

Esfinge gets beat up after by the heels after some arguing on the mic. Esf flying headscissors and topes guards after then the guards beat up on him. Mit then top rope dives onto guards outside.

Overall thoughts: It wasn't one of my more favorite CMLL shows. The lighting and the costumes made it hard to figure out who was who and was a little rough on the eyes. The semi-main got the most time on this but didn't deliver. The main was weak on paper but was okay. The Dia de los Muertos stuff was the selling point of this and everything else was really second to it. CMLL did do a nice job making the show stick out and be an attraction though. I would give this a 6 out of 10 but wouldn't recommend it.
