TNA Impact 11/7/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/tna-impact-10312024.html

Alisha gets on Grace's back with a sleeper but  Grace gets out. Alisha finds herself trapped between two opponents and Masha taps out Alisha with a quick sleeper.

Thoughts:
It wasn't much and the outcome was pretty obvious here. It went longer than it needed to.

Savannah Evans is interviewed. She asks where the questions were the last 8 months while she was at home. She says she's the big deal and not Lei Ying Lee. She says she's tired of waiting for chances and is taking hers.

No DQ - Wendy Choo vs Rosemary

Rose runs at her with a cane. Choo bangs Rose's head off the buckles several times and elbow drops her for 2. Choo handspring forearms her then running kicks her in the corner. Rose hanging headscissors Choo over the top rope. Choo dropkicks her as she hangs there.

Choo grabs her pillow, Rose catches it and pulls Choo into the post. Choo's head is banged off the apron. Rose chokes her with a cable. Rose sliding forearms her. Rose does an indian deathlock with her cane. They then lariat each other down. They go head to head. Choo hits a double throat thrust then hits her with the pillow.

Choo hits a thesz press and pounds on her. Choo hits a 2nd rope elbow drop with the pillow for 2. Rose spears her for 2. Rose bites Choo's hand and hits her in the gut with the cane. Rose hits a la rosa driver variation and wins.

Thoughts: It was average. These girls aren't the best workers and while it was No DQ, they didn't have the best weapons to work with on this one.

Turning Point is on Friday, November 29th.

6/15/2024 - Mike Santana vs Mustafa Ali

They say this is a match from the vault that has not been seen. From what I can find, this was a dark match. This is likely on here to fill for some footage of Chris Bey they aren't showing.

Ali teases throwing his shirt into the crowd but doesn't. Ali side headlocks him. Mike leapfrogs him and hits chops. Mike hits corner punches. We go to break and return. Ali goes out and runs around the ring. Mike chases him and Campaign Singh nails Mike for the DQ.

Thoughts:
The match wasn't much before the finish. I wonder how much we missed during the break.

Singh beats up on Mike. Santino Marella comes out and says, "I don't think so". He says if Singh wants a taste of the action, we will have a tag team match. Santino says he has the perfect partner and all you have to do is say his name.

Joe back body drops Ali over the top and back elbows Singh. Singh takes corner attacks and Mike lariats Singh. Mike hits chops on Singh. Ali pulls Joe down from the apron. Singh hits Mike in the gut and throws him hard in the corner.

Mike is double tripped and takes a basement dropkick from Ali. Ali chinlocks Mike. Singh chin and armlocks Mike. Mike germans Singh. Joe and Ali are tagged in. Joe lariats Ali over twice. Joe fallaway slams Ali.

Joe starts hulking up and ddt's Ali. Mike enzugiri's him then backrolls into a cutter on Singh. Joe throws Ali off his shoulders into a knee. Mike spinning lariats Singh and picks up the win.

Thoughts: It was an average match that went longer than expected. There wasn't really anythiung of note in this one and Joe's teaming winning was expected. Ali took a nice back body drop to the outside to start things.

Frankie Kazarian comes in and beats up the faces. The heels are in control then Rhino comes out. He trades with Kaz then belly to belly suplexes him. Rhino then spears Kaz.

Steve Maclin does a promo. He says Josh Alexander is a chickensh!t. He says he knew Josh was a coward and is showing his true colors. Steve says Josh didn't beat him and says no one can beat him. He says this is far from over.

The Rascalz do a promo. They say they are in a rut. They say there's always going to be an uphill battle and sometimes they will lose. They say it's the climb, not what's on the other side. They then climb some stand that holds chairs.

The Rascalz go to their club house and a seat is missing that used to be Wes'. Wentz says its weird to have that empty chair. They make a bunch of jokes and they imply that they are going to smoke weed.

We see clips from last week of Ryan Nemeth talking to Nic, saying Nic got hit by Joe on purpose in the tag match. Joe comes in and the argument continues. Santino and refs try to break it up as Nic threatens Joe.  Santino tells Joe he believes.

Joe Hendry comes out to talk and cuts his music. He says it's time to talk about Ryan Nemeth. Joe says he put together a custom music video to celebrate Ryan's career. We see "The Ryan Nemeth Story". It says that he's Nic Nemeth's brother and then says, "The End". The fans chant, "one more time". Joe says let's add another chapter when Ryan has to face him next week. He says Ryan will find out like Nic that the who world will always be chanting, "we believe".

Mike Santana is in the back. First Class go up to him. Mike says to think about what is coming out of their mouths before they say it. AJ Francis says he has nothing but respect for Mike. AJ says it pays to have friends and says First Class is only about that money. He asks if Mike has considered flying first class. Mike says didn't he tell them to think about the words coming out of their mouths? Mike says he came to TNA on his own mission and said he went through the entire System by himself. He asks why he would need someone like them. AJ says you can't help some people and tells KC that he needs him to take care of it.

George Iceman comes out. He insults the crowd and calls them losers. He says he's here to put a smile on their faces and says to welcome Heather By Elegance.

Heather By Elegance vs Jody Threat

Heather has a new white and gold outfit. She has angels wings and a halo for her entrance. You can see all of her tattoos with the new gear. Jody runs to the ring as usual.

Jody gets pulled down as she poses on the ropes. Heather hits mounted shots on Jody, who still has her jacket on. Jody back elbows her then hits lariats in the corner. Jody hits an overhead suplex. Ash trips Jody on the ropes. Heather spinning ddt's Jody for 2.

Hether pulls Jody into the buckles. Heather is caught on a top rope crossbody and Jody F-5's her to win.

Thoughts: The finish was nice. It was an average match for the most part but Heather had a better outing than she did in prior matches. It did beat my expectations though.

Ash is mad about the loss after.

TNA X-Division Title - Mike Bailey (c) vs Moose

Mike hits leg kicks and dropkicks Moose. Moose shoulders him over. Mike 2nd rope diving headscissors him. Mike pump kicks him then hits facekicks. Moose no sells them and takes a triangle moonsault outside. Moose misses a chop and chops the post. Moose's hand is banged off the rails. Moose pump kicks Mike on the floor. Moose then misses another chop and chops the post.

Moose is tripped on the floor. Mike tries to kick him against the steps but only gets the steps. Mike is dropped knees first onto the apron edge. We go to break and return. Moose legsweeps Mike then bangs his knee off the mat. Moose hits a nasty buckle bomb on Mike. Mike is thrown hard into the buckles. Mike hurricanrana's Moose then misses a running ssp. They go up to the 2nd rope. Mike hits a horrible looking poisonrana on Moose where Moose bangs his head off the mat. Mike hits ultimate weapon on Moose for 2. Mike goes for a tornado kick and takes a spear. Moose rolling spears Mike out on the floor.

Mike springboards and Moose catches him with a spear. Moose then hits a rolling spear and wins.

Thoughts:
We missed a lot of this due to two breaks so it's hard to really rate this one. From what we saw, they did way too much with moves on the floor and moves off the buckles. Selling was not a priority in this one while cool spots were a priority. This was kind of random and I didn't think the build for this was great. I thought they could have gotten more out of Moose chasing the one title he didn't win.

Trent Seven comes out after. He hugs Mike and raises his hand Trent then low blows Mike. Trent hits a rainmaker on Mike. Trent chokes Mike with a towel then throws him out.

Overall thoughts: They tried but it was the usual average Impact. The main got cut up by breaks. They definitely tried and had some good spots, but it was at the expense of selling. I didn't like Moose winning as they had a story with him chasing the X-Title and now that's over with. We had an older dark match aired likely to cover for something involving Chris Bey that they didn't want to show. A lot of names were missing from this one and they are just getting started building up some of the next programs, so it wasn't the greatest show storyline wise. I'd give this a 5 out of 10.
