NXT Women's Tag Titles 4-Way - Diamond Mine vs Toxic Attraction

Tatum shoulders Jacy over early and Jacy sentons Tatum. Tatum is flipped and tries top dropkick gigi but Gigi moves too far away and misses. Feroz satelittle headscissors Carter then is helped up to the 2nd rope and flips on Carter. Jacy is knocked off the apron onto Gigi then Carter is pulled out by Ivy. Chance crossbodies both opponents from the apron and Feroz is gorilla pressed onto the girls outside. Leon then tope con hilos everyone.

Tatum is kind of spinebustered and legdropped by Feroz then Tatum takes a crossbody/suplex combo. Feroz comes off the top, gets hit in the gut by Ivy and is pinned and her team is eliminated. Jacy pounds on Ivy and Ivy step up enzugiri's someone. Tatum catches Chance off the buckles then deadlift vertical suplexes her. Tatum dropkicks Chance then Ivy flying chest kicks Chance.

Chance cartwheels into a headscissors and brings Tatum's head down. Jacy somehow steals a pin on Tatum and eliminates Diamond Mine. T-A cannonballs and bronco busters Carter/Chance in the corners then Jacy rolls up Carter. Jacy spinning forearms Carter then Gigi STO's Carter.

Carter superkicks Gigi in the side of the head for 2. Gigi has her neck brought down over the top and takes a german off of it. Carter takes a high/low with kicks then Gigi/Carter forearm each other down at the same time. Jacy and Chance trade chest shots then Chance hits soul foot on her. gigi pulls out Carter then Chance plancha's her from the top. Carter rolls in and is rolled up, Jacy gets facekicked from the outside by Chance then Chance/Carter do the 450 into a neckbreaker and WIN!!!

This was a good match here and it's nice to see Chance/Carter finally win the tag titles. They've been ready for it for a long time. I would have liked more build, but I'll take what I can get here. It was fast paced, they did a lot more than usual and this was about as good as you can get for the US Women. The crowd was real into it and celebrated with them in the stands after.

Briggs, Jensen and Fallon are interviewed. The announcer akss who is next and Jensen says he is waiting for his first. Joe Gacy and the Dyad come in. Gacy said Grimes' dad wasn't as successful as Jensen's dad in wrestling .Gacy says that's not fair. The Dyad says they can give Fallon and Jensen direction if they are lost. Jensen threatens them and Gacy offers to fight Jensen tonight.

Cameron Grimes comes out with Trick Williams and offers up an open challenge to the next person who comes in the ring Giovanni Vinci accepts the challenge then Nathan Frazer is behind him as he poses and gets in the ring faster and gets it instead.

WWE NXT North American Title - Carmelo Hayes (c) vs Nathan Frazer

Vinci goes to the commentary table and Frazer rolls him up. Frazer runs the ropes fast and hits a dropkick. He then slides under Hayes in the corner and crotches him on the post. FRazer is stuck over the 2nd rope and Hayes springboard blind legdrops him.

Hayes hits a nice springboard clothesline. Frazer STO's Hayes into the middle rope and Hayes takes a nice bump out. Frazer Thesz presses Hayes and misses a pheonix splash then superkicks him. Frazer topes Melo into the commentary table and Melo knocks something on Vinci. Trick gets on the apron, Vinci pushes Frazer off the top then Melo hits a top rope legdrop on him and wins it.

This was a fast paced and strong match that was good and built to another program. Frazer has been a little lost on the NXT brand, so him winning might have worked, but Melo winning is okay too.

Vinci grabs Frazer by the hair as he is done and poses for a photo with him after.

Solo Sikoa gets a video sponsored by Sonic. We see him on the streets, on the heavy bag and against Von. He talks about Von Wagner and says it is him and Von in a falls count anywhere match.

Wade Barrett hosts a summit with JD McDonagh and Bron Breakker. JD says this ring is his operating theatre and he will rip Bron's muscles off his bones. He said the only sounds sweeter than his agony will be when he proclaimed NXT champ. Bron says JD may be the smartest star he has ever been in the ring with, but he says everyone has a plan until he breaks them in half. He said he is glad he likes pain, because JD will be in a lot of it at NXT Heatwave. JD says Bron likes to endure pain, but he welcomes it. JD says this won't end in violence, but will end in blood. He pricks his finger and signs the contract with his blood. He then offers to shake hands, but Bron just raises his title.

Apollo Crews goes to wish Diamond Mine luck in the back. He says he is a fan and they say they are fans of his too. They invite him to the Diamond Mine to work out anytime he wants. Damon Kemp comes in. He says Roderick Strong is running late and will be here for the match. They say they have a gameplan to go over, but agree to work with it.

Toxic Attraction is flipping out in the back over losing the tag titles. They threaten the interviewer McKenzie and Jacy says they were screwed. Jacy then tells Mandy to go get 'em.

Sarray vs Mandy Rose

This starts during a break. Sarray crossbodies her early then casadora's her into a double stomp. We finally return from break and get to see the match in full picture.  Sarray sunset flips her then dropkicks her. Sarray is stuck on the bottom rope and Mandy whiplashes her back using the ropes. Mandy drops Sarray chest first then bangs her head off the mat.

Sarray goes off the bottom rope to armdrag her then 2nd rope dropkicks her. Sarray perfectplexes her for 2 then Mandy spinebusters her. Mandy then wins with a pumping knee in a match that wasn't special. Mandy's not that good and Sarray hasn't been impressive in her US run.

Mandy said she hopes Zoey Stark is watching closely then grabs a chair. Mandy drives it into Sarray then Zoey Stark comes down and makes the save.

We get a video on Tiffany Stratton. We see her in her gymnastics gear doing gymnastics. She said she couldn't stand losing the battle royale and says her name and loser don't belong in the same sentence. Mandy says "whatever" to Wendy's comments about the next time she sees her not being a pretty picture and says she is always pretty.

Axiom does a promo then Duke Hudson interrupts. He said there are changes and it's anyone's ball game. He says he is undersized and undeserving then Duke brags about his physical measurements. He says it is night and day between the two of him and then slaps him after Axiom says he isn't afraid and Duke calls him a nerd. They fight in the back and Axiom goes against the wall. They then fight on the entrance area and Axiom has his back rammed into the apron. Duke then spinning black hole slams him. Duke then says this is why you don't believe in your heroes, as they let you down. Axiom then does a promo. He says he is wrong and can prove it right here and right now.

Duke Hudson vs Axiom

Axiom runs at him and is corner speared. Duke corner uranage's him after taking leg kicks. Duke goes for a running razor's edge and gets hurricanrana'd and rolled up for the win.

Wes Lee does a promo on Trick Williams. Wes doesn't like that Trick mimmicked Ali and told him he wants a match where Trick can do his boxing and he will do his wrestling. He even suggests they do a rounds match like in Britain.

WWE NXT Tag Titles - The Creed Brothers (c) vs Tony D'Angelo and Stacks

Julius headlock takeovers Tony. Stacks takes an atomic drop from him. Tony then picks Julius up for a suplex and then releases him and he takes a wild bump for it. We go to break and return. Stacks goes outside and Brutus throws him in. Brutus hits a big pounce on him then has his hand smashed on the steps. Stacks works the hand then Tony continues it.

Tony sticks Brutus' hand in the back of his singlet then hammerlock suplexes him on it. Stacks works the hand then Julius gets the hot tag in and beats up ons his opponents. Stacks is thrown out the hard way and Tony is double arm suplexed and forearmed. Julius belly to bellies him then dropkicks him. Tony and Julius try to dropkick each other at the same time. Brutus takes down and pounds on Stacks then Tony is thrown his crowbar. Santos Escobar then returns and takes the crowbar. He punches him with brass knucks then Julius slams Tony and sliding lariats him to win it.

The ending was cool here with Santos finally returning and the mach wasn't bad. LDF then celebrates with Santos so it appears they aren't with Tony anymore.

Roxanne Perez does a promo. She said she has dealt with a lot of emotions. She said Cora was her sister and said she was her #1 fan. She said they were unstoppable and said she wasn't going to let Toxic Attraction stop her on the night Cora turned on her. She said she never imagined her frined would do that to her. She said she never wants to be associated with Cora again. She challenges her to a match in 2 weeks at Heatwave.

Cora is interviewed and said "absolutely not". She said she is the talk of the town in NXT and Rox just wants a match to elevate herself. Mandy then comes in and says she is here to talk business. She says it would be a good idea if they got rid of Zoey Stark. Cora says no as the deal only benefits her. Mandy says if Cora takes her out, the person who steps in is Cora for the title match at Heatwave. She said she will give it some thought and calls her a little girl.

We get a package on Solo/Wagner from Von's POV. Von says he is the street champ now and tells him to come get his crown back.

Chance and Carter are interviewed. They say they can't believe it. Carter says their sacrifices have made the moment so much sweeter. Chance says the fans never gave up on them and the titles will stay with them.

Brooks Jensen vs Joe Gacy

Jensen hits chops early and then back body drops him. Jensen hits some punches then does a step dance before another. Joe comes back and they trade forearms. Joe then running and diving forearms him against the bottom rope. Joe goes upside down on the buckles then uranage's him. Joe then hits an elbow drop for 2. Jensen hits a great spinning heel kick on Joe.

The Dyad starts staring at Fallon. Briggs gets involved then Pretty Deadly interferes. Joe then does his handspring lariat and wins it.

The finish was lame and shouldn't have counted due to it being blatantly unfair. Brooks' heel kick was nice and it was short but decent.

Joe calls out Grimes after. He says he is reaching out to him and says he can fill the emptiness in his soul. He says Grimes knows he is right.

We then goto the back and see Javier Bernal tell Grims he is talking about him.

Tony D is on the phone in the locker room with Stacks. He blames Santos and Stacks says even Elektra is in on it. Tony calls them sheep then Santos calls him. He tells him it was a tough loss and mocks him. Santos says they are almost even now for Tony putting him in the hospital. Santos says they can't work for each other or together. Tony says they need one last meeting as this has to end. Santos agrees. Santos to just tell him where and he says he has the perfect place where he can see him coming a mile away.

Alba Fyre vs Lash Legend

The match starts during the break. Alba ddt's her for 2. We finally return and LAsh bangs her head off the ropes. Lash then spins her into a facebuster on the knee. Lash double underhook suplexes her. We get some breaking news with Roderick Strong congratulating the Creed's. Alba then uses the ropes to tornado ddt Lash. Lash gets Alba's bat and is superkicked before she can use it. Alba then gori bombs her and wins it soon after.

This was short and really cut up by the break so it was hard to give it a great rating, and it had little to do with the work.

Trick and Hayes head to the parking lot and Trick talks about the rules for the match with Wes. Girls ask them to help them jump the car.

Nikkita Lyons does a promo on Kiana James. She said she her powerpoint presentation and said it wasn't needed. She said she has deal with girls like Kiana all her life. She said she is not changing for anyone and challenges her to a match in the ring next week if she wants to change her.

Falls Count Anywhere - Solo Sikoa vs Von Wagner

Solo comes at him with chops and a nice back elbow. Solo then runs him over with a shoulder and sentons him on the floor. Solo corner splashes him and slams him then Solo jumping headbutts him as he is down. Solo running hip attakcs him in the corner. Von then throws him into the steps.

Von puts the steps in the ring and throws some chairs in as well. Von chairs him in the gut and back. Von backdrops him then chairs him. Von then slams him through two chairs put together. Von then lariats him on the floor. Solo kind of lightly samoan drops him on the commentators table.

They go to the back and go through some doors. Solo runs into Carmelo Hayes outside in his car and pushes him into the backseat. Von throws Solo into the dumpster cage, then puts him in the dumpster. Solo hits him with a trash bag then Von is sent into a rollaway garage door. Solo knees him against the door and they run into Cameron Grimes who was walking out. Grimes is sent into something and the brawl continues inside. Von backdrops Solo through a table for 2.

Von puts him in a chair and punches him. Solo sprays him with a fire extinguisher and hits some punches. Solo superkicks him  and samoan drops him. Solo hits him with chairshots. Solo uranages him on the steps in the ring for 2.

Solo goes up top and Robert Stone stops him. Solo headbutts him and is crotched up there. Solo pushes him into the post then superkicks him. Von ends up on a table then Solo top rope headbutts/splashes him onto the table and wins it.

We saw a falls count anywhere match with Solo and Boa on NXT 1/25/2022. This was similar to it, though they got more time and got to do more. There wasn't anything wrong with it and I would say it was good, but it wasn't a classic. It needed blood and it needed another "wow, these guys hate each other" spot to really get to the next level.

Von losing this was not a good sign for him though. He got a big push originally and has been doing a lot of jobs as of late. I don't think he's improving or at the level of some other talent and I don't know what the plan is going forward.

Overall thoughts: It was a pretty good show with 3 good matches and a lot of things happening.
