ICW No Holds Barred Volume 31 8/20/2022

Here's what I saw:

AKIRA vs Eric Ryan

They do some wrestling to start and Akira side throws him. Eric goes to stall outside then Akira goes for a sleeper. Akira indian deathlocks him but drops some elbows on him first. Ryan takes tubes to the face out of the full nelson position then Akira topes him with tubes. Akira hits him with tubes then then scrapes them on his head.

Akira sentons him and slams him. Ryan throws tubes up for him to catch then knees them into Akira's gut. Eric elbows tubes into his head then backdrops him. Akira gets thrown into a door then Eric throws the door piece at him. Akira then michinoku drivers him through a barbed wire door. Akira brazilian kicks him then does a fisherman driver. Akira back rolls him into a german and top rope sentons a tube on him.

He gets a 2 count then hits him in the head with a door piece. Akira stabs him with bullets of some sort then Eric throws tubes at him and dropkicks the tubes into him. Eric grabs a microphone and talks about how good he is. Akira tries to koppo kick a tubes into him as he does this then has to reverse axe kick a tube into him to win it.  

The finish got messed up here and wasn't that good of an idea on paper anyway. I though the match should have ended at the top rope senton but it kept going and the rest didn't add anything to it.

Bobby Beverly vs Dale Patricks

They trade punches and Dale cutters him. Dave then spears him lightly into the door. BB throws Dale into the door and hits punches outside. Dale does some weak looking stuff outside and is thrown into the post. BB chairs him and bangs his head off the apron. Dale is then dropped on a chair on the apron. BB is thrown into the seats and then Dale his his face pushed into utensils. BB stabs Dale with a broken bottle then Dale stabs him with a fork. They sit down on chairs and punch each other.

BB breaks tubes over Dale's back and head then Dale breaks a stack of tubes over his head. Dale throws tubes at him and BB crossbodies tubes into him. Dale gets hit in the head with a gusset plate then has it banged into his head. Dale hits BB with a chair then smacks a gusset plate into his head. BB then backdrops him. Dale chokeslams him onto tubes. Dale is back body dropped onto tubes then BB running knees tubes into him and wins it.

Some of the outside brawling was really bad but the 2nd half was a lot better than the first half.

The Carver vs Neil Diamond Cutter

Carver comes out with something shaped like a male dong. Neil came out with a clown mask and a tube shield. Neil hits him with the tube shield and Carver swings an axe at his shield. Neil sentons him with the shield then staple guns him in the face. Neil staples money to his shoulder then Carver hits him in the gut with the axe. He then uses the axe to neckbreaker him. Carver hits him with tubes then bangs a gusset plate into his head.

Carver slams him on the tubes then Neil tries to headbutt tubes into his head. Carver breaks a tube over his head. Neil russian leg sweeps him onto tubes then throws a cement block at him. Neil then throws a cement block at a block on Carver's knee. Carver slams him on a chair then scratches an axe on his head. Neil comes back with a cutter then sentons a tube on him.

They trade punches and forearms and Neil sunset bombs him into a door. Neil rolling death valley drivers hm and then lionsaults him for 2. Neil goes up top and is caught then powerbombed into a door for 2. Neil 2nd rope blockbusters Carver then top rope splashes a tube onto him. Neil bridges a door on chairs outside. Carver curb stomps him onto cement blocks for 2. Carver gets dropkicked through the ropes then Neil topes him. Carver is on the door outside that is on chairs and Neil top rope splashes tubes into him to win it.

They did way too much here and I really wouldn't have Carver losing to Neil. Neil is a likeable face though.

Tommy Vendetta vs Danny Demanto

The hockey player Darren McCarty is with Tommy as usual. Danny says Darren is his best friend, but says he is a washed up hockey play during this match.

They both put gusset plates into their own heads to start then hockey fight. Danny throws him out then breaks a tack bat over his back. Danny then breaks a popper bat over his back and Tommy responds with a tube shot. Tommy hits him with a popper bat and Danny hits him multiple times with a chair. They have a board with dvd's or cd's on it and they put the board over 2 chairs. Tommy slams him through it then hits him with popper bats. Danny back elbows him then popper bat shots him. They sit in chairs and slap each other.

Danny takes a drink of alcohol then spits it at him and slaps him. They trade trash can lid shots then hockey fight. Danny hits him with a stack of tubes then stabs him with tube pieces. Tommy cutters him on bleachers and they set up 2 rows of 3 chairs. They stand on the chairs and Danny cutters him on them.

Darren gets in and Danny drivers him onto Tommy. Danny top rope elbow drops tubes into Tommy. Danny pours legos on the mat then Tommy piledrivers him into them three times. They trade headbutts on their knees. They get up and trade forearms and Danny backfists him. Tommy then puts Danny on his back and they roll into a door. Tommy gets the pin and the win off this.

They did too much here as usual and I thought Tommy should have gotten beaten up more before making his comeback to win.

Remington Rhor vs SHLAK

Rhor overhead suplexes him then Shlak does the same to him. They hit each other with tubes at the same time then Shlak spears him through a door. They beat each other over the head with door pieces and Shlak throws a stack of tubes at him and stabs him with others. They headbutt each other outside and punch each other at the same time. Rhor then suplexes him through a door outside.

Rhor death valley drivers him through a chair for 2. Shlak hits an olympic slam. Shlak hammerlocks his arm with his leg then pulls on his other arm and bites it. Shlak armbars him then Shlak top rope elbows tubes through him. Shlak polish hammers tubes into him then backdrops him through a pane of glass to win.

I didn't really like the finish as little was sold and it was sudden, but Shlak was fun otherwise as usual.

Shlak through a stack of tubes at him after as he was down.

John Wayne Murdoch vs Krule

JWM runs from Krule before intros and tries to hide behind a fan. JWM heads to the back and then returns. Krule runs through the tubes to scare off JWM. JWM begs off and gets nailed with a tube then thrown through a bridged barbed wire board outside. JWM bangs tubes off of Krule's back hen hits him him with a shark tooth whiffleball bat. JWM goes inside and gets a door punched into him. JWM is then thrown into tubes on the ropes. Something happens off the apron and Krule kind of goes head first through a door out there.

JWM bangs tube stacks on him and throws them at him. JWM tries to use a pinata with tacks on him but Krule full nelson slams him on them and wins in a short one.

The set-up took longer than the match here and them not really selling the falling off the apron spot kind of sucked. It was entertaining though otherwise.

Overall thoughts: The show seemed to run long which cut the main event. They had a lot of violence like usual here and they did not take it easy by any means, but it wasn't exactly smart wrestling. Some of the finishes were a little sudden like usual, which may make sense, but it hurts the flow of things. If you are a big deathmatch fan, you might like this one, but it's probably not the best show for non-deathmatch fans.
