Pro Wrestling NOAH 8/17/2022 N-1 Victory 2022 Day 4

Yoshiki Inamura vs Kai Fujimura

This is not an N-1 match. They go to the mat early and Ina side headlocks him. Kai grabs a wristlock and is flipped with it. Kai dropkicks him then dropkicks him to the knee. Kai is thrown into the buckles. Ina hits a nice hiptoss for 2 then kneels on his back and pulls his chin. Ina steps on his back then hits another hiptoss. Ina misses a splash and Kai hits a top rope dropkick. Ina back elbows him then Kai rolls him up.

Kai dropkicks him then Ina back body drops him. Ina hits a suplex then single leg crabs him for the win.

This was just a squash. It was okay and Ina had some nice hiptosses here.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block B Match - Jack Morris vs Kinya Okada

Jack takes a hammerlock and rolls out of it to put Okada in a wristlock. Okada trips him and side headlocks him. Jack shoulders him over then Okada does it back to him. Okada works his arm then Jack dropkicks him. Jack plancha's him on the outside. Jack drops him on the apron back first. They trade forearms and Jack lariats him. Okada hits a dropkick then hits some kicks. Okada side suplexes him. Jack hangs him over the top rope and dropkicks him. Jack kneels on the top rope and flips over on him.

They trade forearms and Jack abdominal stretches him. Okada suplexes him and Jack rolls him up. Jack step up enzugiri's him then tiger drivers him to win it.

This wasn't good. They just had no flow together and didn't mesh at all. I don't know if it's because of the language barrier or because of a lack of skill.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block B Match - Masaaki Mochizuki vs El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

Mocchy gets his back and sleepers him. Mocchy tries to shoulder him but is shouldered over. Doc slams him and lariats him in the corner. Doc tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him for 2 and superkicks him. Doc goes for a tope but Mocchy kicks him during the attempt. Mocchy tries to rip his mask off.

Mocchy hits corner punches then crossfaces him. Mocchy kicks him out of the corner as Doc charges at him then Doc hits a nice dropkick. Doc topes him then cannonballs him in the corner. Doc top rope frogsplashes Mocchy for 2. Doc octopus stretches him.

Mocchy hits kicks to the chest then buzzsaw kicks him. Doc michinoku drivers him and Mocchy no sells it then high kicks him. Mocchy goes up to the 2nd rope. He hurricanrana's Doc and Doc rolls through it to pin him.

This went a little long especially for having no crowd. I thought they did work together well in some ways but the finishing stretch wasn't clean and I think they have a better one in them.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block B Match - Masa Kitamiya vs Satoshi Kojima

They shoulder battle and trade chest chops. Masa flying shoulders him over then sentons him. Koji shoulders him over then Masa chinlocks him. Masa works his knee. Masa kicks him in the knee a bunch of times and locks his leg up with his legs. Koji whips him into the ropes and forearms him down then back elbows him. Koji machine gun chops him then top rope elbows him.

Koji spinning forearms him and ddt's him. Masa drops him on his knees. They trade forearms on the apron and Masa drops him on his knees there. Masa flying lariats him for 2 and prison locks his legs. Koji cutters him then Masa spears him for 2. Masa piledrivers him for another 2 then hits a Saito suplex for 2. Masa top rope sentons him for 2. Koji drops him on his knees again then clips him. MAsa runs the ropes and takes a big lariat. Kojima wins.

The leg work here was pointless and lead to nothing. You'd expect a bunch of lariats and stuff with these two and this just didn't have it.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block A Match - Kazuyuki Fujita vs Hideki Suzuki

They wrestle on the mat for a while and Kaz sits on his back during it. Kaz grabs a leglock and Suzuki breaks it around the 10 minute mark. Kaz grabs a kimura and takes him down then Suzuki ties up his legs at 15 minutes. They trade forearms and Kaz germans him. Suzuki germans him for 2 and Kaz lariats him. Suzuki back body drops him. Kaz hits some kicks to the back then grounded sleepers him. Suzuki taps out.

This was not good. They did absolutely nothing at all for the first 15 minutes then finally did some things for the last 5 minutes. It didn't look like it would be good and it wasn't.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block B Match - Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Takashi Sugiura

KN is whipped into the ropes then just goes outside. KN gets in and drops him with a hard slap. Sugi rolls out. KN backdrops him and Sugi goes out. KN goes for a kick off the apron and Sugi ankle locks him. Sugi then drops his knee over the rail. Sugi running knees him then 2nd rope brainbusters him. Sugi single leg crabs him then knocks him down to a knee with his forearms.

They trade forearms then KN superkicks him. Sugi comes back with a lariat. Sugi hits a bunch of forearms in the corner then ankle locks him. Sugi release germans him then running knees him. KN PK's him for 2 then Sugi hits a nice olympic slam for 2.

They running facekick each other at the same time and stand off. They trade more forearms then KN chest kicks him. Sugi drops him with a punch then forearms him in the back of the head. KN slaps him then drops him with a high kick. KN brainbusters him and wins it.

It went a little long but they beat the crap out of each other here and the pace was okay.

N-1 Victory 2022 Block A Match - Kenoh vs Go Shiozaki

Ken grabs a wristlock early then Go grabs a hammerlock. Ken facekicks him and go blocks a high kick. Go runs the ropes and is chest kicked down. Ken facekicks Go off the apron then throws him into the rails. Ken hits kicks on him against the rails then Go chops him. Go misses another chop near the post and hits it after doing the same thing earlier in the tournament. Ken is then whipped into the rails. Ken hangs over the apron and Go running knees him. Go running back elbows him him.

Ken forearms Go then Go chops him down. Go backdrops him and they trade leg kicks. Go chops him in the knee and chest. Ken sweeps him then double stomps his back. Ken then flying knees him in the back of the head. Ken kicks him as he is down then Go flying shoulders him. Go fisherman busters him then hits machine gun chops in the corner. Ken then does a kick flurry on him in the corner.

They trade chops then Ken facekicks him. They trade germans and Ken hits a pele kick. Go then lariats him and they trade kicks for chops. Go lariats him in the knee then rams his knees into the buckle. Go puts him in something like a texas cloverleaf. Ken hits a slap flurry then takes a bolo punch flurry. Go hits a go flasher for 2. Go lariats him for 2. Ken climbs his back and then grounded sleepers him. He lets go for some odd reason then top rope footstomps him to win.

The finish was dumb. If you have a guy choked out, why not just keep the choke on and win it? They traded a lot of strikes here but it did kind of become too much by the end. It was still okay, but not a classic.

Overall thoughts: It was a long one with the 6 matches I saw all going over 10 minutes. It was an okay show overall but Fujita/Suzuki was a total waste of time.
