Dragon Gate Glorious Gate Day 3 3/4/3021

Dragon Gate Glorious Gate Day 3 3/4/3021

Natural Vibes (Kzy, Susumu Yokosuka, Genki Horiguchi and U-T) vs Don Fuji, Shuji Kondo, Gamma and Yosuke Santa Maria

Vibes does their dance before the match. Not a fan of that dance at all. Fuji provokes Kzy early and they slap each other in the chest. Susumu headscissors Kondo out of the ring. Vibes pulls out the rubber band on Yosuke and lets it fly into his face when they release it. Gamma canes UT in the back and then they chop and slap each other. Gamma then hits a hard lariat on him.

Shuji runs into UT's boot in the corner then UT boot flurries his chest. Fuji takes an exploder from Susumu. UT gets a pop up slam by Kondo then Kondo throws Susumu overhead on top of him. Kondo goes for the pop-up slam but Kzy turns it into a reverse DDT.

Kzy takes a slam off the top then Kondo hits his big spear for 2. Yosuke kisses Susumu and then Fuji chokeslams Susumu. Kzy then nails Fuji with a rolling forearm and hits Yosuke with one too. Kzy then hits a running canadian destroyer and wins it over Yosuke.

Not a bad opener at all with the 2nd half speeding up until the finish without them doing too much.

Diamante & KAZMA SAKAMOTO vs Ultimo Dragon & Bokutimo Dragon

Ultimo does his high snapmare and an armdrag on Diamante. Boku tries a tope but takes the RED lid to the head. Dia hits a soul foot on Boku then Boku gets beaten up by multiple people in the corner. Boku dragon screwed Kazma then Ultimo came in and cleaned house on his opponents as usual.

Boku tries Ultimos's headlock and headscissors take over on two opponents but fails then Ultimo shows us how it is done. Dia hits a codebreaker then Kazma hits a knee on Boku for 2. Dia hits a springboard dropkick and Boku does a hurricanrana for a close 2. Dia then hits a powerbomb to win.

Short match at 6 minutes with Boku being too heavy for a lot of stuff and Ultimo doing his usual couple of moves without much else.

Bokutimo gets challenged to a mask vs mask match by Diamanate and has no idea since he doesn't speak Spanish and seems confused by it.

#1 Contenders to the Twin Gate Titles - Yasushi Kanda & Kenichiro Arai vs BxB Hulk & H.Y.O vs Keisuke Okuda & Ben-K vs Masaaki Mochizuki & Takashi Yoshida

Okuda gets stomped by Hyo early then Kanda hits a John Woo on 3 opponents. Ben and Yoshida shoulder block each other then Ben torture racks him. Ben takes a slow 2 person monkey flip then suplexes both Hulk and Arai at the same time. They do a 3 person strike exchange with Arai, Yoshida and Ben. Hulk axe kicks Arai in the neck then does a twisting moonsault on him.

Arai bends over and Hyo sentons him from the 2nd rope. Arai gets beat up for a bit and tags out. They try a multi-person suplex by Hyo stops it then Hyo and Okuda flurry each other hard with forearms. Okuda hits a nice high kick then is backdropped. Ben hits a Karelin's lift on Kanda then hits a great german on Arai for 2. Yoshida hits throat chops on Hulk and Hyo and then backdrops them both.

Hyo low blows Yoshida and Arai comes out of nowhere to pin Yoshida for the upset. This was fun for the most part with some cool multi-person moves.

Masquerade(Shun Skywalker, Kota Minoura, Jason Lee) & Kagetora vs. R.E.D.(Eita, Kaito Ishida, HipHop Kikuta, & Dia Inferno)

As usual, RED attacks before the bell. Lee hits a nice dropkick early on Kikuta. Shun and Ishida yakuza kick each other at the same time then Shun hits a nice dropkick on him. Masquerade hits their triple dropkick on Kikuta.

Minoura gets thrown into some kind of weapon in the corner then Shun takes a chairshot on his knee by Ishida. Minoura then gets hit with the RED lid on the outside. Minoura water wheel drops Kikuta then Inferno hits a hard uraken on Kagetora.

Ishida and Shun trade some forearms in the ring. Kikuta hits 3 people with butt bumps and Kikuta is lifted into a butt drop on Minoura. Inferndo does a 2nd rope codebreaker on Minoura, then Lee runs up Kikuta for a tornado DDT on Inferno. Kagetora hits a elbow off the top for a 2 counter on Inferno.

Kage hits the sling blade on Inerno then Shun does his SSW blue thunder driver on Inferno to win. This wasn't bad but people kept tagging out with their partners and it hurt some of the flow.
Dragon Kid vs SB Kento

Kid hurricanrana's SB from the 2nd rope and goes for a 619 but SB gets his knees up. SB then stunners him onto the 2nd rope. SB then suplexes him onto chairs outside. He then buries his arm in chairs and slams a chair on the pile.

Kento then goes back in and starts doing exercises. SB wraps Kid's arm in the ropes and then runs off the ropes. SB picks Kid up for a suplex and starts doing squats. Kid finally gets some offense in and hits a satellite ddt. He then moonsaults him off the 2nd rope to the outside.

They go back in and Kid gets him in the christo. Kikuta disrupts Kid, who then takes a german suplex and a death valley driver, followed by another german for 2. They trade forearms and after having a go at Kid's mask, Kid crucifix bombs him for 2. SB then takes off Kid's mask completely and wins it. Removing kid's mask on the big show was fine, but the more they do it, the less it means. This was a bit long and with no crowd heat and an obvious outcome, it wasn't interesting.

Yamato chased around Kai outside, who doesn't want this match.

Yamato vs KAI

Kai stalls outside. He goes in, gets dropkicked then is flip dived on. Kai then puts him in the figure four as they go back in. Kai gets put in a sleeper and goes over the top rope to break it and Kai's leg gets stuck in the ropes during it.

Later on they do a forearm battle with Kai mocking most of Yamato's shots then Kai takes an exploder for 2. Kai then hits a german and a big lariat for another 2 then follows with a powerbomb. SB tries to interfere and nails Kai in the face with a chair then Yamato rolls him up for the win. The ending kind of came out of nowhere and the lack of heat plus the slower pace made this not very enjoyable.

Yamato and Kai and their crews fight after.

Yagi announces after the match that there will be a tag team cage match with rivals teaming up. It will be Kid/Kento and Yamato/Kai with the loser losing their mask or hair at Dead or Alive in May. Yoshino gets beat up by RED and Doi makes the save.

Overall thoughts: The lack of crowd heat and short matches didn't really make for a good show.
