WWE NXT UK 2/4/2021

Last week's show is here with pics and gifs: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2021/02/wwe-nxt-uk-1282021.html

 Xia Brookside vs Mina Samuels

Mina had someone carrying her bags for her. Mina misses a face kick in the corner, gets her leg stuck and Xia leg sweeps her. Mina hits a reverse suplex on Xia. Mina stretches out Xia. She puts her on the top rope and high kicks her, then Xia comes back with chest clubs. Xia does a satellite headscissors and bangs her head off the mat. They fight outside and Xia headscissors her from the apron and Mina grabs her bags. She tries to swing a suitcase at Xia, but it goes flying. The ref goes to clear it and Mina hits her with a handbag in the head to win. That's a finish I haven't seen before.

Jordan Devlin ran into the assistant GM in the back. He said he wasn't happy he doesn't know who his opponent is today.

Jack Starz was grabbed by the assistant GM again but we couldn't hear what was said.

Josh Morrell vs Joseph Conners with Jinny

Conners gets whipped over then is dropkicked out. Jinny tells Conners his opponent is a little boy and nothing and to make his opponent realize that. Josh tried a flip out of a wristlock but Conners grabbed his hair and threw him back down. Conners then hit him with a lariat. Conners hit a nasty backbreaker type of move but it was over the neck of Josh. Josh got some offense in with a flip on a laying Conners and a hip toss. Josh was popped up and hurricanrana'd him but was DDT'd soon after. Conners then did double wrist clutch neckbreaker and won. There wasn't anything wrong with this and like usual, Josh looked pretty good here as the face.

Sha Samuels did a promo about him being a butcher. He said its a cold, hard and bloody job. He said he is a fighter and is here to hurt people. He did a lot of screaming but it was a neat video.

Xia Brookside was looking for Sid in the back. Xia said she wants a rematch with Nina Samuels and slammed his book back into his chest.

Ilja Dragunov vs Tyson T-Bone

Tyson hits some hard shots early rushing Drag. Sam Gradwell came out saying "temper, temper". Drag gets control for a little but Tyson hits a big slam on him. Drag gets under his leg and flips him back in a neat move. T-Bone hits a neat looking exploder on him then hits a fallaway slam.

Drag hit some kind of jumping front kick then he went flying into T-Bone and was backdropped. Drag limbo'd out of a lariat then hit an enzugiri. T-Bone came back with a half-nelson suplex and Gradwell talked trash to Drag. T-Bone chopped Drag in the back, then his eyes lit up and he started making a comeback. Drag then trapped him and hit elbows to the side of his head and the ref ended it. The finish wasn't good here and hurt what was an okay match otherwise. Gradwell talked more trash to Drag after and Drag skicked him through the ropes and Gradwell continued to talk. Officials came down and Drag started kicking things and arguing with them.

Joe Coffey heads to the ring and we get another Meiko Satomura promo vid.

Sid Scala tried to get Amir Jordan to fight Devlin.

Joe Coffey vs Danny Jones

Coffey hits a criss-cross pounce on him then side slams him. Jones comes back with a strike combo and is overhead belly to belly suplexed. Jones hit an enzugiri. He climbs on his back with a sleeper but is flipped over. Joe then does a body spear into him and spinning lariats him for the win. This did more for Jones than Coffey in a short squash.

Joe got on the mic after. He said he was the last man standing seemed to imply that Rampage Brown needs to take him down to make a name for himself. Brown then came out and said anytime, anywhere.

We got a promo for Pretty Deadly for Gallus. Gallus said they have been on top for a long time and said they would end up with a broken jaw. PD said they capitalize on mistakes and said Pretty Deadly On Top instead of Gallus On Top, which is one of their tag lines.

They did a video on the feud between The Hunt and Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. They said they will be fighting in a street fight so they can annihilate each other.

Jordan Devlin came out. He still didn't seem to know his opponent. He made an open challenge for the cruiserweight title. Dave Mastiff came out. Devlin said he's too big to be out here and he wouldn't be able to make 305 either. Mastiff pushed him and it looks like we have match.

Jordan Devlin vs Dave Mastiff

Dave overpowers Jordan early and does a cartwheel before hitting him with a senton. Dave hits a nice german on him for 2. Dave release german suplexed him but he got out then Devlin clipped him hard. They had Devlin lift Dave up to the top rope which looked bad and it wouldn't have been noticeable if the announcers didn't bring it up. Then Dave shoulder blocked him from the 2nd rope, rolling him backwards. Dave throws Devlin then Devlin gets thrown into the buckles and takes a big bump for it to the outside. Devlin gets his leg caught and is flipped over by Dave. Devlin gets put in the electric chair and they both go over the top.

Devlin dives on Dave on the outside and gets caught, then Dave does a forward roll with Devlin on his shoulders.  Dave tries to cannonball Devlin on the barricade but Devlin moves and Dave goes through the barricade. Back inside and Dave does a top rope headbutt on Devlin for 2. Devlin recovers and does a slingshot cutter on him then 450 splashes him to win.

The idea of the big man vs little man match was good. I thought they did too much here and I don't understand jobbing out Mastiff for this. They would have been better off picking someone else for this who could take a loss easier. It does put over Devlin, but he is already the champ and I don't know if it was needed.

Overall thoughts: As usual, it was an overall good show from NXT UK.
