Justin Gabriel vs Heath Slater

Battle of the former tag team champions here. They got into it last week with some arguing which led to this match. The last time these two met were on NXT 7/18/2012: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/wwe-nxt-71812.html

3MB got kicked out early.

"I came to see 3MB." - Dolph
"Well, they were out here collectively for a minute." - Josh
"And it was great. They left without giving an encore performance. Great rockband mentality." - Dolph

We got a don't try this at home ad with Heath Slater during the match.

"I talked with Heath Slater. He said he broke things off because he wanted to start a band and Justin Gabriel isn't muscially inclined." - Josh

The pin

Justin Gabriel got the win with a 450 splash. Good match here with Slater being a fun jerk heel and Gabriel doing his highflying. Dolph put the match over well on commentary and overall this had a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed it more than I thought and it was fun. Rating:***

Sheamus vs Cody Rhodes

These two have met up twice since July.

They said Cody won the spelling bee every year from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.

Sheamus won with White Noise. Decent match here with lots of mat work and Cody looking on level with Sheamus. Cody had some great facials here, but I just wish they could figure out how to work it into his gimmick. Not a bad effort at all.
Overall thoughts: Good show with 2 good matches. Can't ask for much more!
