Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/iwa-puerto-rico-impacto-total-4252026.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/06/iwa-puerto-rico-impacto-total-592026.html

The next live event is El Gran Festival de Lucha Libre on 5/16/26. It has:

Copa Alcaldesa de Loiza Rumble Boricua

----

We get a message where it says eagles seek a safe haven where they can shed their feathers and new wings and new claws arrive. It says when you trust in the strength of your wings, nothing and no one can stop your flight.

We then see the AAA logo with a Triple H voiceover where he says, "Welcome to a new era".

Thoughts: I don't know what this means, but it sure seems to imply IWA and AAA have some sort of deal, which means IWA and WWE also have a deal. This is pretty big news.

Live Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title Open Challenge - Slade Wolfborn (c) vs Manu

Manu hits SW from behind then stomps him. Manu chops him. SW trips him then side headlock taeovers him. SW rolls him up for 2 and dropkicks him out. SW chops him outside. Manu gets whipped into the post. Manu kicks the 2nd rope into SW's crotch and ddt's him for 2. Manu corner lariats him then chops him.

Manu slams him for 2 and pounds on him. SW fights back with chops and forearms. Manu stomps on him and hits hard chops. SW throws some punches back. SW spin kicks him in the gut, forearms him and bulldogs him into the buckles. SW bottom rope cutters him for 2.

Manu goes up and over. SW rolls him up and pins him.

Thoughts:
The crowd wasn't super familiar with SW and didn't really get that into him. He did what was supposed to and showed some spirit, but the crowd was more interested in Manu. This was a hard hitting bout with Manu really chopping him up. I was surprised Manu didn't win here. Slade really could have used some promo time here.

The mayor of Loisa, PR invites us to to the 5/16 show and it seems to be free.

IWA Tag Titles - Monstars Inc. (El Chupacabra & Moizilla) (c) vs 2Hot4U (Cesar Aldea & Edrax Torres)

We are told Monstars Inc won the titles in Las Vegas off Edrax and Pura. That may be an error as it appears Monstancs Inc faced Torres/Pura on 4/25 at Dano Colateral and seem to have won. We didn't see that match. Chupa has the orange hair.

ET's team attacks their opponents from behind then stomps them. ET's team takes flying headscissors. ET takes some kicks and is sent chest first into the buckles. ET is sat up top then his crotch is stood on. CA is backdropped then takes a slingshot swanton. Moi neckbreakers CA then Chupa 2nd rope moonsaults him.

Chupa misses a dropkick and is facekicked by ET. Chupa is punched down and slammed by ET. ET legdrops Chupa for 2. Chupa is ddt'd for 2. ET stomps Chupa on the ropes. ET dropkicks Chupa. CA chokes Chupa then suplexes him for 2. ET chinlocks Chupa.

Chupa hits chops on ET then ET lariats him. CA slams Chupa. Chupa bites CA on the buckles then superplexes him. Moiz comes in and hits flying elbows on ET. Moiz backbreakers him for 2. CA spinebusters Moiz. Chupa headbutts CA in the chest and shiranui's him. ET death valley drivers Chupa.

Moiz leg lariats ET from behind for 2. CA takes a flying corner lariat then a superkick + oblivion combo. Chupa topes CA outside. Moiz and ET trade chest chops. Moiz ropewalks and ET throws him down. CA hits a big spear on Chupa. ET piledrivers Moiz. CA top rope splashes Moiz and pins him.

Thoughts:
ET usually teams with Mascara Pura but instead, he was here with Cesar instead. There was nothing wrong with the match but it was a little hard to get into it due to the confusion with Monstars Inc. becoming champs and since this was basically a random bout.

El Wizard Analiza

Wizard talks to Araquista Manu. Wiz apologizes for Slade Wolfborn stealing the match from his earlier. Manu says he's ashamed that Slade came, challenges him and beat him. Manu says he didn't make a mistake and Slade got lucky. He says Slade will get an IWA Title shot, but it will be the toughest bout of his career. He says he will make anyone who messes with the IWA World Title look like a fool.

IWA Intercontinental Title - Pedro Portillo III vs El Gladiador Boricua

This title has been vacant for 2 months since Riviero Rivas vacated it.

They lock up and PP backs him up in the corner. PP double chops him. PP misses a corner charge and GB pounds on him. GB hits running corner lariats then flying shoulderblocks him. GB armdrags him. PP eye rakes him outside and GB chops him outside.

GB is whipped into the post. PP elbows GB in the chest. PP back elbows him. PP chokes him on the ropes. PP hits shots to the gut and flatliners him for 2. PP suplexes him for 2. GB hits shots to the gut. PP germans him for 2. PP spits in his face.

GB hits some punches then they could clothesline each other. GB hits punches on PP then hits running forearms. GB rolls him up for 2. GB codebreakers him for 2. GB misses a 2nd rope move. PP overhead belly to belly suplexes him into the buckles for 2. PP blocks a backcracker and tries to pin him with his feet on the ropes but the ref catches him.

PP shoves the ref and the ref shoves him back. GB backcrackers him. PP goes out to the floor. They go back in. PP kicks the rope into GB's crotch and hits a double underhook twisting drop. The ref goes to count and seems to check with the fans on the count. PP pins GB.

Thoughts:
It was another random bout here. PP just lost the IWA PR Title and now he won another title. I was surprised Luis Perez or Super Atomo didn't get involved. One would think Boricua was going to win here but it was not the case. It wasn't the most exciting bout but the work wasn't bad.

Overall thoughts: It wasn't one of my more favorite episodes of IWA RP. We had a tag title match coming off of an unaired tag title change. All three matches were basically random and none were great. Lots of stars are missing and a lot of various storylines weren't involved here and I really thought they dropped the ball by not bringing up Navarro whipping Pupe's wife last week. I'd give it a 5 out 10 and would say it's average. I wouldn't recommend this one.
