TNA Impact 10/16/2025 After The Glory

TNA Impact 10/16/2025 After The Glory

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/tna-impact-1092025.html

The new show with new matches that I saw is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/11/tna-impact-1162025.html

Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan are our hosts.

They talk about the Maclin/Kazarian match.

Maclin talks about the match with Kaz quickly.

The announcers talk about Maclin being the first ever TNA International champ and say him winning the title again was a big deal for him.

We see clips from NXT on Tuesday. We then see highlights of Evans vs Slater at Bound for Glory. The announcers call those two the future and the now.

Leon Slater comes in to talk. Leon says he's always prided himself on being unique and it worked until he ran into Je'Von Evans. He says it was like looking in a mirror. Leon says he was aware of who he was and he's glad they got to finally make it happen.

Leon says he has never faced anyone where it was so 50/50. He says there's hungry challengers coming each month and he know how hungry Evans was. He says they didn't find out who the better man was. Matt describes it as watching a piece of art get set on fire. Leon says he hopes its just the beginning of their story and he says he wants to make matches that people remember for the rest of their lives. Leon then is sucked into a UFO and disappears.

We see clips of the Hall of Fame ceremony at BFG.

Mickie James comes in to talk. She says it was amazing to be inducted. She says coming back to TNA gives her more confidence. She says she feels like TNA is her family. They mention that she appeared on the first TNA broadcast. She talks about her TNA career and says TNA always pushed her limits and put her out of her comfort zone. She talks about her feud with Madison Rayne and says it helped create Hardcore Country. She talks about Gia Miller making a hat for her.

Mickie is asked about the Knockouts. She says what a time it is for women's wrestling. She says the women are showing what they are capable of. She said she talked to Kelani Jordan after BFG.

Eric Young comes in to talk in the next segment. He says he was a Knockouts tag champ with ODB and they never lost the titles. He says he was never pinned by a woman. He talks about the Call Your Shot gauntlet and complains about BDE being in there. He says they should be talking about his performance in it. He is asked about not admitting that he was Super Eric. He takes offense to it. They say he cleansed TNA of Joe Hendry and is asked what's next. Eric says whatever "we" deem fit to cleanse and fix.

He says BDE could use a cleansing but says they should talk about the truth - that Tom and Matt are against him. He says he's like everyone else. He says they aren't ready for the truth and are part of the problem. He says they are part of what makes this world sick.

The announcers want to talk about The Hardy's. Eric then interrupts. He says he's everything and the heart and soul of TNA. He says they will cleanse this world.

We see clips of Team 3D vs The Hardy's at BFG. They talk about their favorite moments between the teams. Matt says they got their starts in other places but grew to their final forms in TNA. We see more clips of The Hardy's vs Team 3D.

The Hardy's come in to talk. Matt says they retired The Dudley's and it's a strong reminder that everything ends. Matt says they need to move forward and make sure their legacy lives on through them. The Hardy's are asked about their memories of their matches with The Dudley's. Jeff said they didn't expect the BFG match to happen.

Matt says they took more time to bask in the moment. Jeff said he looked all day for a 14 foot ladder but couldn't find one. Matt said they didn't know The Dudley's were retiring. Matt says the match was emotional.

They say next week will have Fade to Back and show us more clips of the path to Bound for Glory which means no new matches most likely. We then see a preview for it.

They show us clips of Trick vs Santana at BFG. We go to break and see more clips.

Mike Santana joins the show. Mike says he's still processing everything and it as the toughest fight of his life. He says he's still living in the moment and can't wait to go home and celebrate.

Mike says he put together a plan while in rehab. He said he put together every step of the plan. Mike says Homicide, Low Ki and Amazing Red are like big brothers to him. He says they all came from the same hood and had tough upbringings. He says him and Konnan connected a lot and it was nice to share the moment with him. He says he's a true pioneer. He talks about some Spanish song they like to quote that says surprises are life.

He says he promised his daughter he wouldn't disappoint her. He says winning the title was an amazing journey and moment. He says his daughter doesn't forget him saying he had to go away at one point and says what more does he need to show her that anything is possible? Mike says he won at life and did everything.

The announcers go to wrap up the show and Eric Young comes in. He says the TNA Title was taken from him twice. He says he did everything there is to do here and won every time there is to win.

Overall thoughts: It was nothing but talking and highlights. There was absolutely nothing to see here and I don't recommend checking out this one. And from the sounds of it, next week will be the same thing. I know it's a budget thing but even empty arena matches would be better than recaps.
