WWF Superstars of Wrestling 6/27/1992

We are in Hamilton, Canada. Mr. Perfect and Vince McMahon are our hosts. Perfect says Alexander Hamilton and George Hamilton are here and Vince corrects him. 

The British Bulldog vs Nick Danger

Davey shoves him off the lock up. Nick side headlocks him and they collide with shoulders. Davey hiptosses him then throws him on a slam. Davey suplexes him. Davey does an inset promo. He says Repo tried to hang him with his tow rope and failed. He says it's time for him to go to his obedience school.

Davey chinlocks him then headbutts him down. Davey hits a corner lariat then running powerslams him for the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that great of a squash. Nick didn't do a ton to put Davey over and this didn't accomplish much.

WWF Update

Mean Gene says Tatanka was at an Indian reservation and we see him checking out stuff there in his wrestling gear. He does his yells and meets fans. He then talks about eagle feathers and says he will come after Rick Martel and make him extinct. He then does an ethno-nationalist promo talking about the bloodline of Indian nations and says to be proud your Native American. 

The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) vs. Chico Martinez & Rick Johnson

The Boys hit attack their opponents before the bell. Rick is choked with a jacket. Knobbs hits a back elbow on Rick then elbow drops him. Knobbs bulldogs him. Rick takes a trip to Pity City. High Energy does an inset promo and says they will use The Nasty's to blast off.

Knobbs hits a hard lariat on Chico. Knobbs rakes Chico's eyes then corner splashes him. Knobbs powerslams Chico then Saggs hits a top rope elbow drop for the win.

Thoughts: The Nasty's roughed up their opponents here and won as expected. They pushed the High Energy/Nasty Boys feud here.

WWF Event Center

El Matador does a promo. He says there's so much happening in the WWF and he's in the thick of things. He says he doesn't like Michaels or Martel and is ready for any wrestler who thinks they are above anyone else. Tito says you have to have it all in the mind to succeed in the WWF and he says he does.

The Repo Man does a promo. He says he doesn't like summer because there's too much light. He says there's less darkness where he can do his job. He says he has more time to do his job. He says British Bulldog doesn't know where he is, but he knows all about him. He says he got him once and will get him again. He says he doesn't know when the chain will be on him again. 

Razor Ramon does a video. He says he's living the good life and he knows how to relax. Some woman comes up to him and says he never called her back. Razor said he had a good time and is through with her. Razor says the chica's are fun and says he probably scarred her heart for life. He says he comes to the WWF not for fun, it's strictly business. He says he won't scar your heart, he will scar your soul. He says he's Razor Ramon, El Jefe.

Virgil vs Glen Ruth

Glen has some very colorful trunks on. Glen wristlocks him and hits punches. Virg atomic drops him. Glen misses a corner charge and takes a nasty backdrop. Glen is then lariated over the top. Virg then plancha's Glen outside.

Virg hits chops and hiptosses him. Virg boots him in the gut then hits punches and drops him. Virg russian legsweeps him and wins.

Thoughts: It was a good squash by Virg. The backdrop he hit was pretty nasty and he was pretty aggressive here.

We see clips of Battle of the WWF Superstars with The Bushwhackers doing aerobics.

WWF Event Center

The Natural Disasters do a promo. They say the highest level you can reach as a team are being the WWF champs. They say Money Inc is in it for the money. Quake says they want it for the pride and the honor. Typhoone says it takes blood, sweat and tears and says you are a champ when you have those belts. Typhoon says Money Inc aren't champs.

Papa Shango does a promo. He asks how many people know about voodoo. He says Warrior found out his curse was tougher than he thought. He says his curses are more powerful than anything in this world. He says there's a lot more to come and to beware.

The Berzerker vs. Bruce Mitchell

Berz knocks Bruce over then running dropkicks him. Berz facekicks him. Berze does an inset promo. He said they said Taker was unstoppable but he stomped him cold. He says if Taker gets close to him, he will take his head off. Berz slams Bruce then running boots him while he's tied up in the ropes.

Berz hits a world's strongest slam on Bruce then knee drops him. Berz hits a legdrop and another world's strongest slam. Berz then throws out Bruce and wins via countout.

Thoughts: It was the usual Berz squash with him winning via coutnout. He had a nice dropkick here.

Berz takes a bump after. 

We see The LOD and Paul Ellering in Chicago at a destroyed house. Hawk says home ain't looking too good and he said he never imagined this place would look like a bug infested slum. Paul says this is their past and where they determine where the future lies. Paul finds a toy hand and pulls out a dummy toy. Paul asks what that is and Animal says it's Rocco. Hawk asks where he found him and Paul says he can't belive they toasted to him all these nights. Animal says Rocco was their wrestling buddy. Paul says Animal told him Rocco taught them to be a team. Paul says this is the best thing that ever happened to The LOD. Paul asks to let him bring Rocco to the ring. Hawk says let's bring Rocco everywhere with them.

Thoughts: You just gotta love that somehow in a house where everything is demolished, somehow a doll is mostly intact. This was pretty stupid with the crew admitting they talked to Rocco and got advice from him. The whole angle doesn't fit The LOD at all and is just more proof of Vince losing his creative skills in 1992.

Nailz vs. JA Gooden

Nailz grabs him and chokes him in the corner. JA is thrown hard into the buckles then kicks him in the ribs several times. Nailz pulls on his face. Nailz hits a lariat and chokes him more. Nailz does a choke/chinlock and wins via submission.

Thoughts: It was all choking here and not much more.

Nailz chokes him with the night stick after. Refs try to stop him but run away. The crowd chants for The Big Boss Man. Nailz hits JA in the chest with the stick then chokes him with it. The stretcher is brought out and JA is put on it. We then get a close-up of Nailz's face.

The Texas Tornado vs Duane Gill

They lock up and Kerry shoves him off twice. Kerry wristlocks him then hits a short arm clothesline. Kerry does a short arm shoulderblock then suplexes him. Gill gets a punch or two in and is hit with a discus punch. Kerry wins.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and not much else. Kerry didn't do a ton as usual.

Vince shills the WBF Magazine.

Harvey Wippleman then does the intro for Kamala and Kim Chee. 

Kamala vs. John Blade

Vince says Ted Turner would make a great Kim Chee. Kam hits a big chop on JB's head then chops him over. Kam does a nice leapfrog and a superkick. Kam lifts him by his throat and throws him down. Kam then chokes him. Kam hits a double throat thrust then splashes JB's back. Kam tries to pin his back but turns him over finally and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a good squash. Kamala's leapfrog and superkick spot was great and he was on the verge of getting cheered in this one. 

WWF Event Center

Shawn Michaels looks at his mirror as Sherri holds it. Shawn says it's no coincidence we are watching him. Shawn says he knows there's a lot of people who would love to take a shot at him. Shawn says we will never get the chance. He says he's better than you and that's why he's here and you're there. He says that will never change.

Sgt. Slaughter does a promo. He says it makes him feel good when they give him the USA salute. Sarge says he will watch Mountie's electrocution machine and is coming to destroy him.

Overall thoughts: It was all squashes as usual here which sucked. Kamala's squash was entertaining though and Virgil did a good job in his Rocco the puppet made his debut in a dumb segment and we got another Razor Ramon video. This wasn't that great but at least it went by somewhat quick. I wouldn't recommend this one.
