We see various wrestlers arrive. 

Je'Von Evans comes out and tells Briggs to get out here. Briggs does and Evans suicide dives on him. He pounds on him and Ava yells at them. Evans goes from the floor to the 2nd rope and asai moonsaults him.

Je'Von Evans vs Josh Briggs

Evans handspring corkscrew kicks him. Evans hits a high top rope frogsplash for 2. Evans hits chops and JB still has his vest on. JB forearms him down then elbow drops him. JG bits shots in the corner. JB misses a lariats and crossbodies him for 2. 

JB sidewalk slams him for 2. JB chinlocks him. Evans flying headscissors him. Evans seated springboard headscissors him then dropkicks him. JB misses a running boot and goes out. He then brings Evans down with him. Evan's head is banged off the commentary table. 

Evans jumps from the commentary table to the apron. Evans then topes him and both go rolling over the commentary table. We go to PiP break and return.

JB chinlocks him. Evans hits shots to the ribs. Evans flying forearms him. They swing at each other and Evans hits a bunch of shots. Evans is caught on a springboard and JB does an elbow drop for 2. 

Evans slaps him. Evans superkicks him and flying forearms him. Evans then springboard lariats him for 2. JB catches Evans' springboard. Evans hits a stunner out of a powerslam. Evans upkicks him then punts him in the face for 2.

JB lariats him then Evans handspring corkscrew kicks him off the ropes. Evans does a van terminator on JB. Evans is sent into the post. JB grabs a chair then Evans superkicks him. Evans double jump bling springboards and is lariated from behind (with JB's chain). JB then gets the pin.

Thoughts: I liked it. The first half was pretty good. Evans' suicide dive to start things and the tope over the table were pretty wild. The second half slowed down a little but it was a still a decent bout overall.

Ricky Saints and Oba Femi argue in the back in front of Ava and security. Ava says they have a lot of things to get off their chest and they can talk about it on The Grayson Waller Effect. Trick Williams comes in and says he wants to make sure they are good tonight with DIY. Saints asks what he means and Trick says this is championship business he wouldn't understand.

DIY come out to talk. Ciampa says it's been 10 years since he tagged with Gargano as DIY in NXT. Johnny says people forget where they come from but he said he was NXT for life and meant it. Johnny says this will always be his home. Ciampa says he knew his last match in NXT wouldn't be his last.

Trick Williams comes out. He says the greatest superstar of all time has arrived. He says DIY got the best of him last week but they forgot to say that this went down because they are jealous. Trick says their NXT crew can't hang with his NXT crew.

Trick says he's not alone and brings out Carmelo Hayes in a shock. Melo stares down DIY then Trick. The crowd chants "hug it out". Melo says Trick said a lot of things that were true but a lot of things that aren't true. He says he heard Trick say it's his house. Melo says he says that with two guys who built this house in DIY. And with the guy who put renovations on this house (Melo). Melo says Trick is just squatting in their house and says rent is due. Melo tells him to be quiet while OG's talk next time.

Trick says he gets why Melo is upset and says they have history. Trick says he squats where he wants to squat and says this is his house. Ciampa interrupts and Melo says this is between him and Trick. Melo says DIY did one of the biggest back stabs in NXT history. 

Johnny says let's not talk about it and let's do TrickMelo Gang vs DIY at NXT Homecoming.

Thoughts: This was an interesting segment with Melo returning and interacting with Trick. I'm down for that tag match match. 

Lainey Reid does an inset promo. She says she's the embodiment of Southern charm. She says she's only missing the spotlight. She says she will get it when she beats Faby and LeRae. She says she will take the Speed Title at No Mercy.

Faby Apache does an inset promo. Faby says she's representing AAA. She says the Speed Title is going back to Mexico.

WWE Women's Speed #1 Contender's Tournament 1st Round - Lainey Reid vs Faby Apache

Fab dropkicks her to start then spinning headscissors LR out. Fab apron cannonballs her outside. LR enzugiri's her. LR then does a sunset flip for 2. Fab backslides her for 2 then LR gets another pin in. Fab headbusters her. Fab misses a corner charge then LR runs into Fab's boot.

Natalya is in the front row. LR superkicks her for 2. Fab germans her for 2.  Fab goes up top and misses a top rope swanton. LR pumping knees her and pins her with 22 seconds left.

Thoughts: It was your usual Speed match. They kept things moving but it was nothing too fancy. It was nice to see Faby get on WWE TV after decades of service. They also built up Natalya vs Faby in this for World's Collide.

Sol Ruca and Zaria talk. Zar says she needs the win tonight and she asks Sol where she will put her 3 belts. Hank and Tank come in. Tank says it's time they get tag gold. Sol says they should do it first tonight. Zar says it smells like victory and Tank says it smells like a honk honk.

We get a video with a female voiceover saying Blake Monroe isn't done with Jordynne Grace. Blake is in the bath and says Grace ruined everything. She says she wanted to be untouchable and says she was never meant to be clean. She says she's cruel and says Grace reminded her that The Glamour and hell aren't meant to be separate. She says Grace didn't break her but awakened her. She says she will show her why she can even make the devil blush.

WWE NXT Tag Titles - DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox) vs Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger)

Tank knocks Dion off the apron to start and springboard shoulders OG over. OG takes a sandwich bodyblock and a back elbow + powerslam combo for 2. 

Tank is sent into the buckles chest first. Tank then takes a double team powerbomb or backdrop for 2. The four trade shots. Tank lariats OG over the top. Tank and Hank then hit criss-cross topes outside.

We go to break and return. Dion runs into a boot from Tank in the corner. Tank does a pin attempt on Dion then Dion spinebusters him for 2. Tank takes a double uranage for 2. OG sleepers Tank. OG spinning powerslams Tank for 2.

Tank hits shots on OG. OG blocks his tag attempt. Hank comes in and slams Dion. He splashes him and bulldogs OG onto him.Tank does an air raid crash into a flatliner on Dion. Dion takes a superplex into a Tank top rope swanton for 2. 

Shugars and Cutler save their buddies. Cutler says Joe Hendry isn't coming tonight. Joe then appears, breaks through the riser and chases Cutler. Hank backrolls Dion but OG rolls Dion backwards and Dion gets the pin.

Thoughts: I don't like Joe getting involved just to lose here. I did like the match otherwise though. It was a fast paced bout and the faces did some new moves. The heels weren't losing here after just winning the titles.

We get a video on what a flag match is.

We see Ethan Page talking to Myles Borne via NXT Anonymous. Page asks if Borne will let things stand like they are for much longer.

Lexis King sees the footage from Anonymous in the locker room. He tells Charlie Dempsey that he knows Borne doesn't take advice. Dempsey says Borne doesn't get the privilege of his advice anymore. Myles Born comes in, turns off the lights and asks if he thought we were through. He then chairs him and says he's not done with him yet. 

Flag Match - Tavion Heights vs Ethan Page

Page goes for the flag before the match starts. Tav pulls him down and shoves him. Tav is rammed in the corner and punches. Page is pulled down from the buckles and is punched. Page slides out and pulls Tav with him. Tav is sent into the apron edge back first. Page is then pulled down onto the apron. 

Tav spears Page through the ropes and Page takes a bad looking bump down on his neck. Tav pounds on Page outside then slingblade headbusters him. Tav climbs the pole for the flag and is stopped. Tav is pulled off the buckles into a sigle leg codebreaker. 

Tav mule kicks him from the buckles. Tav almost has the flag. Page pulls him of the top down by the hair. They trade shots on their knees then stand up and trade. Page high kicks him then Tav flying lariats him.

Page misses a corner charge and goes into the post shoulder first. Tav is then pulled down off the top onto the floor. Tav is sent into the steps. Page is crotched up top and Tav belly to belly suplexes him off the top. Tav then grabs the flag and wins.

Thoughts: It was an alright match here. Both guys took some big bumps here off the top. Tav did a decent job as the face and showed some fire, though he didn't get to do a lot of good suplexes.

Tav grabs both flags after. He then buries Page under the Canadian flag and poses over him. 

Tyler Breeze then shockingly appears, making his return. He films himself with a knocked out Page.

We get a video on Lola Vice's life and we see her doing martial arts.

Fatal Influence mock the Lola video after. Jacy says she will lose in her home town in front of her family. Jacy and Fallon ask if Jasmyn Nyx is ready. Nyx says who would have thought they would be the tag champs and she would be the greatest NXT champ of all time.

We get a video on NXT Homecoming next week. They promise some surprise appearances and hint that Triple H will be there.

WWE Women's Tag Team Title #1 Contendership Triple Threat Elimination Match - Sol Ruca & Zaria vs. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) vs. The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley)

Zar is double teamed to start and booted out. Tatum sunset flips Nyx then backslides her. They forearm each other at the ame time and Zar double clotheslines them. Zar back body drops Tatum. Zar hanging sleepers Nyx in the corner and Tatum crossbodies both in the corner. Izzi then spears both in the corner. 

Fallon hurricanrana's her then bodyscissors her for 2. Izzi backhands Fallon out. Zar and Izzi hockey fight. They trade kicks and double clothesline each other. Fallon sliding forearms Izzi. Zar is held for a springboard enzugiri from Nyx for 2. Sol springboard dropkicks Izzi.

Sol spins Nyx into Tatum then drops her onto Tatum. Sol then surfs on both. Sol hits a double basement dropkick. Fallon pulls Sol out and hits a hard chest forearm. Fallon then double jump springboard crossbodies Niko Vance outside. Izzi boots Fallon over. Zar boots Shawn Spears off the apron and dives on him. Tatum step up enzugiri's Nyx and Sol top rope corkscrew moonsaults Tatum, Izzi and Niko outside. 

We go to break and return. Sol kicks Nyx in the face. Sol goes up top and is high kicked twice. Nyx takes a powerbomb + blockbuster combo. Zar hits headbutts on her opponents then germans them. Nyx's springboard is caught and she takes a spinning backdrop. Zar alley oop's Tatum. 

Zar and Sol hit stereo spears and pose. Sol hits a sol snatcher on Zar when Tatum moves. Fallon lariats Sol over the top and Nyx pins Zar. Zaria and Sol Ruca are eliminated.

Tatum springboard dropkicks Fallon then Izzi top rope diving codebreakers Nyx for 2. Izzi is pulled out and hit. Tatum backrolls her and Jacy forearms Tatum for 2. Tatum is catapulted into a pele kick from Nyx. Izzi chokeslams Nyx on the apron. Fallon wrapround kicks Izzi around the post. Tatum knocks Fallon off the top and misses a 450.

Fallon takes a facekick + a tequila shot and Izzy sky highs Fallon to win.

Thoughts: It was a good 3-way in front of a hot crowd. We had some nice dives, interference and lots of fast paced action with cool spots. This really couldn't have been done much better than it was done and it was a big success. I liked this a lot.

Jacy Jayne yells at her partners after. She says they both failed her and embarrassed her. She says she runs the division. We see cars arrive in the parking lot. 

We go to break and return. Jacy says there's no way Fatal Influence won't be part of Homecoming. She says she's not being anyone's babysitter and is sick and tired of carrying the group on her back. She says the lack of credit she gets is pathetic. She says she doesn't need anyone else, just herself. She says she's the greatest NXT champ of all time.

Stephanie Vaquer then comes out. She says Jacy beat her for the title and she gives her credit. She said she had the NXT Women's Title and North American Title at the same time. She says she will be champ again at Wrestlepalooza. Jacy says there's 3 of them and 1 of her. Steph asks if she knows what time it is. Tiffany Stratton then comes out.

Tiff says she's the women's champ last time she checked and the longest champ in the company. She says she beat her too before and held the NXT Women's title. She says she doesn't think so about her being the greatest women's champ of all time. Jacy says they are super seniors who want to come back to high school to feel good again. Tiff says she doesn't know how mami feels about being called that. Rhea Ripley then comes out. 

Rhea says she doesn't think Jacy is the best champ. Rhea says it's perfect if Jacy wants to go to Homecoming as they each have 3. Rhea says they will see them at Full Sail. Rhea, Tiff and Steph then hit the heels and send them out of the ring.

Thoughts: It was a pretty cool segment with all the former NXT girls coming back to shut up Jacy. It made sense and fits Homecoming perfectly.

Overall thoughts: It was a great show with surprise appearances from main roster wrestlers, a rare flag match, TrickMelo Gang meeting again and a good main event. This show also did a great job in hyping up NXT Homecoming which went from nothing to something big in less than 2 hours. This show accomplished everything it had set out to do. This gets an easy 9 out of 10 from me and is worth checking out.
