Stardom 8/23/2025 5★STAR Grand Prix 2025 Day 13

Momo Kohgo & Yuria Hime vs. Ema Maishima & Kikyo Furusawa vs. God's Eye (Kiyoka Kotatsu & Lady C) vs. HATE (Azusa Inaba & Fukigen Death)

They had four girls in the ring here at all times. Kotatsu and Inaba stiffed each other pretty good and Death did her usual messing around. Hime got the win over Ema here with a headscissors + double armlock. This didn't do a lot for me because there were just too many people involved doing their own things.

Bea Priestley & STARS (Hanan & Saya Iida) vs. HATE (Natsuko Tora, Ruaka & Saya Kamitani)

SK = Saya Kamitani

HATE had a nice entrance here with everything being all black and smoke shooting out.

BP and SK start us off. BP sunset flips her then rolls her up for 2. BP avoids a dropkick and they stand off. Ruaka comes in and shoulers Han over then Han flying euros her. Ruaka lariats Han against the ropes. Han takes a double flapjack then a double splash from the heels.

Ruaka foot chokes Han. Tora samoan drops Han then stomps on her. Tora chops down Han. Tora forearms her down and Han hip throws her. BP comes in and dropkicks Tora for 2. BP 2nd rope double stomps Tora's back for 2.

BP superkicks Torathen is crossbodied. SK springboard crossbodies BP. BP and SK trade forearms. BP germans her. SK spinning high kicks her. BP rolling ddt's SK. Iida gets in and does elbows on SK. Iida dragon sleepers her and SK rope breaks. 

Iida takes corner attacks. Iida is hit from the apron then suplexed by SK. Iida gets a 2 count on SK then running lariats her. SK puts the ref in Iida's way and Ruaka hits Iida with a box. SK ki krushers Iida and wins.

Thoughts: It was pretty average and not too much of note. The finish was dumb as SK went back to back with the ref and pulled him down while Ruaka hit Iida with a box over top of them. Somehow the ref didn't see.  

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Semi Final Match - AZM vs. Rina

AZM corner dropkicks her to start. Rina hip throws her. AZM is sent into the seats. Rina stomps her inside then hair throws her. AZM double boots her out of the corner. Rina does an octopus to her and AZM ropebreaks. Rina is pulled onto the apron and AZM high kicks her there. AZM double stomps her as she hangs off the apron.

AZM rolls her into a suplex then Rina reverse suplexes her. AZM hits kicks and Rina northern lights suplexes her for 2. Ri double knee drops her off the buckles.   

AZM germans her while grabbing her leg. AZM buzzsaw kicks her for 2. They fight on the buckles then AZM top rope double stomps her for 2. AZM does a rings of saturn to her and Ri turns it into a pin attempt. AZM gets a 2 count on her then high kicks her. Ri does an abdominal stretch bomb on her. Ri then ties up the arms and pulls back on AZM's leg. 

AZM code red's her then Ri reverses a pin attempt into her own. Ri gets a 2 count on her. Ri running facekicks AZM then gori bombs her for 2. AZM canadian destroyers her. Ri then hits a vertebreaker for 2.

Ri top rope dropkicks her. AZM pumping knees her then buzzsaw kicks her for 1. AZM canadian destroyers her then double underhook canadian destroyers her for the win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. They went fast all match long for the sake of going fast and it became a problem when they started doing canadian destroyers and vertebreakers that ultimately meant nothing. I also thought this went a bit long. 

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Semi Final Match - Momo Watanabe vs. Saori Anou

They go head to head and block strikes. SA dragon screws her then figure eight's her. SA is tripped into the ropes and kicked. SA is sent into the seat. They get back in and Momo boots her around. Momo then foot chokes her. 

SA goes up and over her and dropkicks her in the knee. Momo then dropkicks her. Momo hits a bunch of chest kicks in the corner. Momo suplexes SA, lays her on the top rope and head kicks her. Momo b-drivers her on the apron. SA fisherman suplexes her on the apron.

They trade forearms in the ring. SA chest forearm flurries her. SA kicks her in the knee. SA is stuck up top and Momo 2nd rope uranage's her. SA hurricanrana's her off the buckles. SA then does an armbar with a leg hooked. SA hooks the head with her leg as well and Momo ropebreaks.

Momo's buddies distract the ref and Momo swings a bat at SA. SA enzugiri's her. SA hits two germans for 2. Momo half and half suplexes her then head kicks her. Momo hits a package tombstone for 2. Momo chickewings her. 

SA dragon suplexes her. SA headhunters her while holding the arm for 2. SA rolls her into a bridging backslide for 2. Momo hits SA with a bat then SA germans Momo with a bat for 2. Momo hits a buzzsaw kick from behind then punts her. 

Momo half-tiger suplexes her then does a wrist-clutch half-nelson suplexes her to win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this that much. The shenanigans and outside brawling made it hard to get into this and they didn't really capture the flow until the end. Momo winning is definitely an upset but she's been pushed hard this tournament.

Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura, Natsupoi & Sayaka Kurara) vs. Empress Nexus Venus (HANAKO, Rian & Waka Tsukiyama)

Ri and Poi go at it. Ri misses a dropkick then Poi cartwheels out of an armdrag. Poi then does a cartwheel armdrag and they stand off. Ri takes a triple team basement dropkick. Poi basement dropkicks Ri then hair throws her. Poi foot chokes Ri then hair throws her.

Aya comes in and slams Ri. She kicks her in the butt. Saya basement dropkicks Ri then Ri crossbodies her. Hana gets in and shoulders over all 3 opponents. Hana corner splashes Saya then shoulders her over for 2.

Hana crabs Saya and Saya rope breaks. Saya dropkicks Hana then is shouldered over. Saya basement dropkicks her. Aya spinning heel kicks Hana in the corner then kicks her in the back and chest. They trade chest forearms and Hana hair throws her. Aya superkicks her then Hana lariats her. 

Waka gets in. Aya is dripped and takes a butt drop and double stomp for 2. Aya's partners help her out then Waka takes a double basement dropkick. Aya chest kicks Waka down for 2. 

Waka top rope dropkicks Aya for 2. Waka straightjacket bombs her for 2. Waka takes attacks from the other team and a triple axe kick. Aya northern lights suplexes Waka for 2. Hana hits a double lariat on her opponents. Waka uppercuts Aya then Aya superkicks Waka. Aya then does a pin where she hooks the leg and pins Waka.

Thoughts: It was average. There wasn't much of note in this and it didn't get the time to really pop off.

Saki Kashima vs. Yuna Mizumori vs. Mei Seira

Saki wasn't around all tour but is back here. Saki's opponents run the ropes. Saki is tripped then tries a double pin. Mei cradles Yuna for 2 twice. Mei springboard dropkicks Yuna. Saki tries to steal the pin and Mei stops her. Saki gets up in Yuna's face and Yuna drops her with a chest forearm.

Yuna hits another on her then Saki flying headscissors her. Yuna and Mei go for pin attempts. Saki then retreats outside. Yuna lariats Mei then legdrops her for 2. Mei hits dropkicks on Yuna. Mei ducks a sliding lariat. Saki tries to pin Mei and Yuna together and gets a 2 count.

Saki crucifixes Yuna for 2. Yuna lariats Saki then Mei dropkicks Yuna. Mei and Saki trade pin attempts. Yuna then step off of Mei's back and pins Saki.

Thoughts: It was a high speed match here with a lot of people evading moves and going for pins. It was okay enough for what it was but nothing too great. 

Dark Silueta & FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) vs. Mi Vida Loca (Akira Kurogane, Rina Yamashita & Suzu Suzuki)

Haz's whole team and Rina are making their ifrst appearances this tour. 

Dark and Akira go at it. Dark takes her down and poses on her arm. They trade wristlocks. Dark headflips and armdrags out of one. Akira armdrags her. Dark bow and arrows her. Dark shoulders her over and they stand off. Dark offers a handshake then forearms her off of it.

Akira takes a double back elbow then a triple basement dropkick. Haz does facewash kicks on Akira then slams her twice for 2. Akira hits chest forearms on her then is dropped with a forearm. Akira russian legsweps her. Suzu is tagged in and running back elbows Haz. She meteora's her in the corner.

Suzu hits a double rolling spear. Haz meteora's her from behind the codebreakers her. Dark gets in and low dropkicks Suzu. Dark rolls her into a double stomp. Dark flying headscissors Suzu then half-crabs her.

Dark knees Suzu in the face and superkicks her. Suzu superkicks her then Dark hits a big slap. Suzu flying headscissors Dark then Dark spinning heel kicks her. Kog and Rina get in. Rina drops her with a forearm. Kog climbs on her back and tries to get her to do her taunt.

Haz top rope dropkicks Rina and Kog crossbodies Rina off the buckles. Rina takes a double ddt for 2. Rina back drops Kog and Kog takes a double running sandwich knee. Rina top rope splashes Kog for 2. 

Haz germans Suzu. Haz does a tope outside. Rina lariats Kog over for 2. Dark tries to help out and is dropped with a forearm. Rina hits a hard pepsi twist lariat on Kog for 2. Kog hits a splash mountain on Kog and wins.

Thoughts: It was another average one. They didn't have a lot of time here so we only got a little of some of the girls. 

God's Eye (Ami Sourei & Tomoka Inaba) vs. Neo Genesis (Miyu Amasaki & Starlight Kid)

TI knocks Kid over then forearm flurries her to start. Kid hits chest forearms on TI. Kid 2nd rope twisting crossbodies TI. TI is dropkicked in the knee, takes a short ddt and is basement dropkicked in the back. TI punches Miyu in the gut then slams her. 

Miyu's head is banged off the buckles. Ami chops Miyu. Ami slams Miyu three times. Miyu hits chest forearms on Ami and Ami chops her down. Miyu ddt's her. Kid gets in. Kid christos Ami and Ami rams her into the buckles to break it. Kid flying headscissors Ami then asai moonsaults TI.

Kid standing moonsaults Ami for 2. Kid chops Ami then Ami double chops her. Ami spinning samoan drops Kid. TI and Kid catch each other's legs. Kid dropkicks TI in the knee then takes a leg kick. Kid dragon screws TI. Miyu jumping knees TI in the corner and scholar collar's her.  

Ami suplexes Miyu then TI kicks Miyu in the back. TI bangs Ami's knee off the mat and ankle locks her. Miyu hits chest forearms on TI then TI punches her in the gut. Miyu exploders TI. TI spinning high kicks Miyu for 2. 

Kid 619's TI then Miyu pendulum ddt's TI for 2. TI sitout gordbusters Miyu then Miyu bridge pins her for 2. Miyu wrist-clutch ddt's TI. TI leglocks her then turns it into a figure four. Miyu taps out.

Thoughts: I liked the Kid/TI sections here. It didn't get that much time and was just average. I'm not really sure why we needed to see this one. 

TI and Kid talk on the mic after and seem to set up a title match. 

Future Of Stardom Title Match - Hina (c) vs. Ranna Yagami

Ran dropkicks Hina then armdrags her. Ran puts her in an armlock and Hina ropebreaks. Ran slams Hina. Ran works on the arm and kicks her in the back. Ran armbars her and Hina ropebreaks.

Ran stomps on Hina's arm. Hina hip throws her. Hina flying knees her in the corner and running neckbreakers her for 2. Rina backbreakers her then stf's her. Ran ropebreaks. Hina stops Ran then Ran chest kicks her down. 

Ran high kicks Hina down. They trade forearms on their knees then get up and trade. Ran clubs on her then chest kicks her down. Hina trips her into an stf. Hina wrist-clutch, half-nelson uranages Ran. Hina then jackhammers Ran for 2.

Hina STO's her. Ran gets her feet up on Hina's top rope splash and Ran armbars her. Ran does another armlock on Hina. Hina then ropebreaks.

Ran kicks Hina in the arm. Hina half-nelson exploders her and gets a 2 count. Ran leg lariats her then high kicks her for 2. Hina hits a big ending on Ran but Ran no sells it and gets a 2 count. Ran tries a pin on her then Hina fisherman jackhammers her for 2. Hina STF's Ran and submits her.

Thoughts: Ran worked the arm here before going down. Hina did her usual stuff and didn't really add a lot to this. 

They hug after. Hime comes in and challenges Hina for her title. 

IWGP Women's Title Match - Sareee (c) vs. Konami

Sare misses a charge and takes corner forearms. Sare dropkicks her on the ropes then stomps her in the head. Kon eye rakes her. Sare springboard diving armdrags her then dropkicks her against the ropes. Fukigen Death pulls Sare's leg and Kon dropkicks Sare. Sare is sent into the post then the seats.

Kon kicks her in the back then camel clutches her. Kon foot chokes Sare then chest kicks her down. Sare hits two low dropkicks on Kon then stands on her face in the corner. Sare half-crabs Kon. Sare indian deathlocks her. Sare top rope dropkicks her for 2. Sare does an octopus to Kon.

Kon running knees her in the corner then sliding kicks her. Kon fisherman suplexes her. Kon top rope dropkicks her for 2. They trade leg kicks for forearms. Sare dropkicks her on the ropes then misses a dropkick through the ropes. Kon sleepers her between the ropes.

Sare goes out and dragon screws Kon on the apron. They trade forearms outside. Sare fisherman suplexes her on the floor. Sare dragon screws Kon inside and double stomps the leg. Kon germans her then Sare germans her back. Sare double stomps her off the buckles twice for 2. 

Sare hits headbutts and Kon grounded sleepers her. Kon germans her then headkicks her. Kon buzzsaw kicks her for 2. Kon top rope double stomps her for 2. Sare backdrops her for 2. Sare double stomps her for 2. Sare uranages her for 2. Sare enzugiri's her. Kon hits her with a chair twice. Kon germans her for 2.

Kon sleepers her then germans her. Kon punts her in the head. Sare uranages her for 2. Sare hits another uranage. Sare headbutts her then uranages her again for the win.

Thoughts: It was the same Sareee match that we have been getting against HATE all tournament - Sare tries to be the face to a crowd that doesn't care for her and tries to put the square peg into the round hole. It didn't work the last few times yet she tried again here and got the same result. This was nothing but absolute stupidity and this run was a real blemish on Sareee's record as a great worker.

The girls talk to each other on the mic after. Suzu Suzuki comes out after and seems to challenge Sareee.  

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Final Match - Momo Watanabe vs. AZM

Momo has white and gold gear today. AZM drops down and Momo presses her head into the mat. They trade chest forearms. Momo eye rakes her. AZM trips her then is tripped and pulled out by Tora outside. The ref doesn't care as AZM is stomped on by HATE. Momo is sent into the seats and no sells it. AZM is then sent into the seats. Momo throws a chair at her and pushes her head into the seats. AZM tries to headscissor her from the apron but is instead crabbed on the floor.

Momo kicks AZM around then hair throws her. Momo stands on her neck in the ring and hits hard chest kicks in the corner for 2. Momo boots her over. AZM hits chest forearms. Momo suplexes her and AZM suplexes her back. They go to the apron. Momo suplexes her on the apron then AZM holds on and suplexes her on the floor.  

AZM PK's her from the apron. AZM walks up the buckles and dives on Momo outside. AZM top rope double stomps her. Momo is in tree of woe and AZM double stomps her down. AZM top rope double stomps her for 2. 

AZM is put in tree of woe and headscissors Momo into the buckles off of it. AZM la mistica drops her and is kicked in the head. AZM high kicks Momo then Momo high kicks her. 

They trade forearms on their knees. AZM armbars her. Momo package tombstones her for 2. Momo hits a b-driver then AZM canadian destroyers her for 2. AZM spin kicks her in the head. AZM hits another canadian destroyer. Momo no sells it, meteora's her then sells. AZM backrolls her for 2 then Momo grounded chickenwings her. 

AZM cranks back on Momo's arm then hooks her head. Th ref is pulled out and HATE breaks it up. Momo tells HATE to stop and AZM dropkicks HATE. Momo and AZM trade forearms. They high kick each other at the same time. Momo half and half suplexes her. AZM canadian destroyers her twice for 2. AZM hits a code red off the buckles. 

Momo high kicks her and curb stomps her. Momo punts her then high kicks her. Momo half and half suplexes her then does a wrist-clutch, half-nelson suplex. 

AZM rolls her into a pin attempt for 2 then does it again for another 2. Momo does a wrist-clutch half-nelson driver and pins her.

Thoughts: I didn't like it that much. The heels cheated and the ref didn't care. AZM did like three canadian destroyers that didn't mean much and the only real story here as Momo seemingly turning face half-way through this. It's a nice win for Momo after being rejected for new toys when Stardom was doing better though.

Momo talks on the mic with her trophy, crown and cape to close the show.

Overall thoughts: I didn't like the show that much. There was a bunch of filler here which I wasn't that excited about after a 12 day tournament. Nothing was that great on this show either. I would only give this a 4 out of 10 as the card wasn't that great and I didn't really like anything on here that much.

Overall thoughts on the Grand Prix: It was a good Grand Prix overall and really knocked the socks off of the G-1 and the Champion's Carnival. The girls put out a pretty good effort and we got a lot of fast paced and stiff wrestling. Hime, Hanako and Suzu all had good tournaments while Sareee's stock went down due to her being unwilling and unable to be a heel when the crowd rejected her as a face. It was a long tournament though at likely close to 30 hours of action and it was not easy to get through.
