Blake Monroe vs Kelani Jordan

KJ runs right in, tiger feint armdrags her and dropkicks her. KJ hits a low crossbody for 2 then side headlocks her. KJ top rope double axe handles her. KJ shoulders her over then she is thrown out.

BM baseball slides her and bangs her head off the apron. KJ hits forearms. BM spinning side slams her. BM basement dropkicks her for 2. BM chinlocks her and we see someone arrive in the parking lot.

KJ boots her in the gut then BM slingblades her. KJ fireman's carry takeovers her and hits chest forearms. KJ's cartwheel is caught and she handspring stunners her for 2. KJ kind of does an angle slam for 2. KJ comes off the top and is headbutted in the face. BM then knees her in the face. Jordynne Grace comes out in a neck brace and goes after BM. BM runs out of the building into a car which drives her away (while it's pouring).

Thoughts: The two matched up well and it's a shame we didn't get a clean finish to this. BM running out into a waiting car during the match while it was raining was amusing to me.

Chase U talk in the back. Uriah says they are freaking out. Kale asks what their chances are. Chase says it's 1 in a million. Kale says, "so you are saying there's a chance?". Uriah says they got this as long as he's got their back.

WWE NXT Tag Titles - Hank Walker and Tank Ledger (c) vs Chase U (Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon)

UC superkicks both opponents and Kale gets a 2 count on Hank. UC hits an os cutter then Hank takes an AA + sitout powerbomb combo. UC tries to slingshot in and is kicked. Tank flapjacks Hank onto UC for 2.

UC and Tank trade. UC spinning back elbows him then takes a forearm. Hank backdrops UC then Kale rolls up Hank for 2.

Kale enzugiri's Hank then fosbury flops Hank and Tank outside (that's a new move). Hank blue thunders Kale then UC takes a sandwich bodyblock. Kale takes a powerbomb + neckbreaker combo. He's pinned but the ref only counts 2. Hank black hole slams Kale then Kale takes a sandwich bodyblock plus a powerslam + elbow combo and is pinned.

Thoughts: Somebody botched the finish here but they just ran it again. It was short and they did what they could to get something in before it ended.

Dark State attack both teams after.

Fatal Influence talk in the back. Jacy says Masha and Jaida are still coming after the titles. George Iceman comes in. He says this will be the last week Jacy is Knockouts champ as Ash will beat her for the title Thursday. He says he's here to polish the title and make it nice and shiny. Jacy yells at him and says not to touch the title.

Lainey Reid comes in and says isn't that Nyx's job to shine the titles. Jacy agrees and tells her to go shine the title.

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights talk. Borne says Tav needs to go make an impact and Tav tells him to go shut up the haters.

The Culling talk in the back. Izzi says she believes in Tatum and they believe in her. She says Tatum will fit in the history books if she beats Sol. She tells her this is her moment. Tatum says she will make her proud. 

Thea Hail does an instagram video. She's drinking coffee alone and talking about Nia Jax. She says keeps interfering and threatens her. 

Myles Borne vs Lexis King

King boots him in the gut. MB blocks a punch and King side headlocks him. King side headlock takeovers him. MB shoulders King over. MB backdrops him for 2.

MB goes up and over then King top rope twisting crossbodies him for 2. MB ushigoroshi's King for 2. MB gets stuck hanging from the buckles and Kings springboard double stomps him. King comes off the top and is dropkicked in mid-air.

King knees him in the gut. MB plancha's him outside. We go to break and return. MB is thrown into the steps. King stomps MB's head/neck into the steps. King codebreakers him over the middle rope for 2. MB's head is banged off the buckles and King hits boots to the face. King then dropkicks him in the corner for 2.

King hits Kawada kicks then MB powerslams him. MB hits lariats and belly to belly suplexes King. MB backdrops him. MB then does a single leg codebraker to the head and hits a zig zag for the win.

Thoughts: I liked this. King was moving well and was pretty vicious towards MB. MB was a good face and sold well here.

Dark State do a promo in the back. Griffin says Hank and Tank are always one step behind and said they jumped them last week. Shugars says they don't ask, they hit at whoever. Cutler says they've been on their @ss and up their butt. They all look at him. Dion says they aren't done yet.

Nia Jax vs Thea Hail

Thea goes for the kimura and gets on her back with a sleeper. Nia throws her over. Thea dropkicks her in the knee. Thea tries to crossbody her but is swatted down. Nia misses an elbow drop. Thea standing moonsaults her.

Nia samoan drops her. Thea's shoulder is thrown into the post. Nia foot chokes her. Nia leans on Thea on the 2nd rope. Nia pop-up drops her. Nia throws her out the hard way. We go to break and return. Thea stomps Nia's foot and hits a headbutt. Nia bodyblocks her then legdrops her for 2.

Nia cobra clutches her. Thea jawbreakers her. Thea hits shots. Thea takes a sit out drop on her chest. Nia spears the buckles when Thea moves.

Thea hits forearms then double axe handles her in the chest. Thea ddt's her for 2. Thea hits a springboard back splash for 2. Thea is pulled off the buckles, takes a hard ride down then takes hip attacks. Nia banzai drops her and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. Thea put up a good underdog fight like she was supposed to. Nia was happy to be the wall that stopped here. Thea took some nasty looking bumps off the top and over the top here.

Nia is interviewed in the ring after. She says any ring she steps into is hers. She says Lash won't make a name off her back. She says she's a former champ and beats champs and legends. She asks what Lash has done.

Lash Legend comes out. Lash tries to say something but makes it to the ring to fight first. They fight and security breaks it up. 

Ava talks to Jordynne Grace in the back. Ava says she wants to talk about Heatwave. JG says she will be cleared for it. Ava says it'll be her vs Blake at Heatwave. She says Blake deserves to get her @ss kicked. JG says she can count on it. 

Oba Femi comes out to talk. Oba says Briggs and Inamura threw everything they had at him and failed. He says he has carried the brand for 200 days. He asks who is going to step up and challenge. He says no one is tough enough to step up. He says the future is not looking bright as he beat everyone. He says the names change but the result remains the same.

Trick Williams comes out. He says Oba is a big dog. He says he's the biggest dog NXT has to offer though. Oba asks if he's trying to convince the fans or himself. Trick says he's trying to convince him. Trick says he's carrying 2 brands and Oba mocks Trick's voice. He says Trick says he is carrying 2 brands, but he has the NXT Title. He says Trick could never beat him.

Trick said he thought about that. Trick says why not him? He says he's not the same man Oba saw a few months ago. He says he's a self-made superstar. He says he's the man who will take him off the mountain.

Je'Von Evans comes out. Evans says Trick is goofy as hell. He mocks Trick. He says Trick wants the NXT Title but barely defends the TNA title. Trick tells him to mind his business while grown folks are talking. Oba says he will let them sort this out himself. Evans says him and Trick should first and the winner should face Oba. Oba says he loves it and says they should have the match now. Trick says no, not in front of these fans. He says they should do it in 2 weeks in a nice city like Philly. 

Moose then comes out. Moose says he wants to snap Trick back to reality. He says Trick has a date with the face of the franchise in 10 days at TNA Emergence. He says when he takes the TNA Title around his waist, the one name synonymous with whopping that trick is Moose. Moose tells Oba not to think he forgot about Roadblock.

Dark State then come out and jump everyone. Dark State get thwarted and Shugars is maybe thrown out onto his buddies. Security then comes out to break it up. 

Stacks talks to Arianna Grace in the back. Grace hits on him. She says she came to check on him. We then see Lash and Nia fighting with security trying to stop them.

Wren Sinclair talks to Charlie Dempsey in the back. She says they have more time to quality time. CD says he was too good of a coach. Wren then sings Joe Hendry's song. Joe then appears out of the fridge. Joe says it was great to be back in NXT. He asks why CD is so miserable.

CD says Joe is the last thing NXT needs. Joe says he has something for him and gives him one of his outfits. CD says he looks forward to never wearing it ever. CD says Joe is a virus. Wren says the only thing that cheers CD up is wrestling. Wren then accepts for CD. Wren asks if she can take a photo with Joe. Wren was kind of dressed up like Joe here.

Stacks vs Yoshiki Inamura

Stacks nails YI from behind hard and bangs his head off the apron. Stacks hits mounted punches. Stacks boots YI out of the corner. Stacks flying knees him for 2. Stack clubs on him.

Stacks does a trap hold on him and knees him in the spine. YI hits shots to the gut and side headlocks him. Stacks sliding forearms him and hits mounted shots. Stacks then bows at him.

Stacks tries YI's top rope splash but is thrown off the top. YI shoulders him over then double chops him. YI then does sumo palm strikes and a chop/punch combo. Stacks is chopped over the top and takes a huge bump. YI is then rammed into the apron edge.

Stacks asks who he thinks he is and YI slaps him. Arianna Grace then yells at YI and slaps him. The ref tries to kick out Grace. Josh Briggs then facekicks YI. Stacks then pins YI to win.

Thoughts: Well this wasn't short of any happenings. It was pretty wild and YI/Stacks actually matched up pretty well together.

Ethan Page talks in the ring. He says last week as a pure demonstration in the Canadian standard of excellence. He say Santino was not able to get the job done last week. He says Santino is still Canadian and it makes him better than the fans. He says he's not the greatest North American alive like him.

Page shows off his title. Page then wants everyone to sing the Canadian national anthem with him. Tavion Heights interrupts. He says Page can chill with all of that. He says nobody tuned in to hear a Canadian goose dying. He says it's cool he's repping his country and he can relate. He said he represented Team USA at the Olympic Games himself. He says he needs to be knocked off the maple leaf perch he's on.

He says he just left NQCC and needs to break out on the NXT scene. He says he's a weapon in human form and needs to know where to direct his energy. He says he's aiming at him. Page tells him to learn how to walk and run before he tries to dance with All Ego. 

Tav says he has another thing coming.

Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice come out. Green yells at Tav for interrupting Page. She says he inspires millions of Canucks daily. She said Page fought off a moose and moose apologized. She says the best American heroes come from Canada.

She says Page is the model Canadian, 2nd to her. She says she's a proud Canadian. Green says she came out to sing the national anthem until Tav ruined it. She say Tav would never have the balls to hit her. He agrees and hits Page. He says he will find a woman who will hit her.

Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice talk in the back. Fatal Influence interrupts. They argue. Nyx says she got Jacy and Fallon a tag match for next week and says she found her opponents here.

Sol Ruca and Zaria talk. Zar tells her to focus on Tatum and she's got the rest. Lash and Nia then fight behind them and get broken up. Ava comes out and tells them they can fight next week.

Moose, Je'Von, Trick and Oba talk in the back. Ava comes in and asks why they are here. Ava says Trick and Evans fight in a match in 2 weeks where the winner gets Oba. Ava says all 4 of them face Dark State next week. Hank and Tank say they want Dark State next week. Ava says 2 members of Dark State can challenge for the tag titles at Heatwave.

We see a taped Ricky Saints interview. He said he earned his name and said people like Jasper Troy and Page are jealous of him. He says it's tough to be between them and he has a target on his back. He says there's different agenda's but the same goal. He says everyone is struggling to get on Monday or Friday nights but he wants the NXT Title and Jasper is standing in his way. He says in 2 weeks if Jasper thought Houston was easy, things won't end up like they did before.

WWE NXT Women's North American Title - Sol Ruca (c) vs Tatum Paxley

Sol backs up TP on the ropes. Sol takes her down. TP knees her in the head then corner crossbodies her. TP jubangs Sol's head off her knee. TP does a reverse surfboard on her and Sol tries a pin out of it.

Sol then does a regular surfboard. Sol dropkicks her. Sol slingshot facebusters her. Shawn Spears distracts Sol and Zaria pulls him down. Sol then top rope moonsaults onto The Culling outside.

We go to PiP break and return. TP pendulum ddt's her. TP headbutts her then bangs her backwards with neck lock. Sol cartwheels out of a pendulum ddt. Sol sweeps her then superkicks her. Sol then neckbreakers her.

Sol backpack drops her for 2. Sol running knees her. TP uses the apron to enzugiri her then corkscrew asai moonsaults her. 

Sol sunset bombs her from the top rope. TP does not look well after it. Sol misses a corner spear and RP rolls her up for 2. TP hits a psycho trap for 2. Sol upkicks her. Sol hits a hard corner spear. Sol messes up a springboard and lands on the floor on her feet. They both go up top and TP hits a nasty neckbreaker that did not look safe.

Nia and Lash then fight out to ringside. TP grabs a doll after Izzi gives it to her. Lash tackles Nia into the rails. Sol then hits a sol snatcher on TP and wins.

Thoughts: Both girls almost broke their necks here so I can't put it over too strong. But they did do okay otherwise and had an athletic match as expected. Both girls did try a bit more than usual and stepped up. Lash and Nia fighting outside during it was something different. 

Sol poses with her NXT Women's Title and her WWE Women's Speed Title after. Speed appears to be cancelled so I'm not sure what happens with that title.

Overall thoughts: It was a good NXT with people from TNA and the main roster coming in. None of the matches here bad here and everyone impressed for the most part. I'd give this an easy 7 out of 10 and would recommend it.
