Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-4251992.html
Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-591992.html
We are in Kalamazoo, MI. Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect are our hosts. Vince says it's Correct Posture Month. They make some puns about it. Perfect says Macho has no backbone and says he's so spineless his own wife can't stand him. He says Macho will know Ric Flair is no slouch.
Skinner vs The Ultimate Warrior will happen on this show.
The Big Boss Man vs Mark Roberts
The lock up and Boss back elbows him. Boss does an inset promo. He says he's not afraid of any man including the convict. He says he won't be looking over his shoulder worrying about him and says he will be ready.
Boss stomps on Mark then pulls on his head. Boss euros him. Boss leg lariats him on the ropes. Boss slides out and punches Mark. Boss chokes him. Boss sidewalk slams him and pins him.
Thoughts: It was a quick squash as usual. Mark didn't get anything in en route to a quick defeat.
Boss then handcuffs Mark to the ropes like a true good guy.
WWF Update
Mean Gene hypes up the next WBF Championship. Gene shows us clips of last week's Berzer vs Undertaker match. Mr. Fuji and The Berzerker do a promo. Fuji says he told Taker. Berz said he proved Taker is human. He said he got his shield, boots and hands on him. He says he won't take it easy on him next time.
We see more clips of Berz's attack on Taker. Gene says it was a close call with the sword last week. He says Berz was out of line. The Undertaker and Paul Bearer talk. Paul says Fuji tried to steal the urn and says it will be over for him. Taker says when you knock at the devil's door, did you expect the reaper? He says rest in peace to both.
Papa Shango vs Red Tyler
Papa does an inset promo. He shakes his stick arond and does a poem. He says curse the living and raise the dead. Papa hits Red in the gut in the corner then boots him. Papa misses a corner charge then is clubbed on. Papa flies at him and I guess facebusters him.
Papa slams and legdrops him. Papa shoulderbreakers him and wins.
Thoughts: Red didn't get anything in and Papa got the quick victory as usual.
Perfect says he's never seen anything like Papa and isn't sure if he wants to deal with it either.
WWF Event Center
We have a new set. Sean says Papa Shango continues to terrorize the WWF. El Matador does a promo. Tito said his hard matador training has paid off. He says he's getting closer to the top. He says his matador training will get him through anything. He says the fans have been behind him the whole time and he's ready for anything.
Sid Justice and Harvey Wippleman do a promo. Sid says he's the top dog here and says everyone has to measure up to him. He says if you don't, you are pushed aside. He says asks Hulk how it feels. He begs anyone who has the guts to come on and face him.
Tatanka vs Brian Costello
BC has been on this show a lot. He slides out to start. Tat chases him then chops him. Tat slams him then elbow drops him. Tat back body drops him. Tat hits chops and sends him out. Tat suplexes him. Rick Martel does an inset promo. He says Tat smells bad and says he will have to spray him with an extra dose of Arrogance.
Tat does a war dance and hits more chops. Tat backbreakers him then 2nd rope chops him in the head. Tat samoan drops him and wins.
Thoughts: Tatanka didn't do much but chops here and they weren't exactly lethal looking. BC got nothing in before being put down.
Rick Martel comes out after and has words for Tatanka. He says he smells and he will have to disinfect the ring. Martel says he stinks and Tatanka tells him to get out of here. Rick climbs the steps to get in the ring and he sprays more arrogance around. Rick turns around on the apron and Tat pushes him off of it.
They have more words with Tat standing on the apron. Tat tries to diving chop him from the apron and is sprayed in the eyes with Arrogance. Rick laughs at him and says he smeels good now. Rick then sprays him more as Tat holds his eyes. Officials then come to check on him.
Rick then grabs Tat's feathers and sprays them with Arrogance. Rick then puts the feathers on.
Thoughts: I'm surprised they brought this angle back already. Rick had sprayed Arrogance in Jake Roberts' eyes less than 2 years ago and blinded him for months leading to the blindfold match at Wrestlemania VII.
WWF Event Center
6/6/1992 is the next Boston Garden show. The Bushwhackers will be at today's Almac's Food Festival '92. Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair do a promo. Perfect says he hopes Macho is enjoying himself as it will only last a short while. Ric calls Macho a temp champ and says he will only be champ for a day, week or month. He says sooner or later he has to face the wrath of Perfect and Flair. Ric says they will take the title and he will kiss Miss Elizabeth on the lips.
Macho Man Randy Savage does a promo. He says Mania will be nothing compared to what he does to him. Macho says Flair's entourage will disband. He says he has something incredible for him at the Boston Garden. Macho says he can't wait.Tatanka's getting eye drops put in his eyes in the back.
Money Inc. (Irwin R. Schyster and Ted Dibiase) vs Chris Hahn and Ron Cumberledge
IRS says it's time the people pay their taxes and says Ted is tired of supporting the people with his tax dollars.
IRS wristlocks Ron, Ron reverses it then takes an upkick. They try to ram Ron's face into Ted's boot but miss. Ron takes a double clothesline. Ted stomps on Ron's face. Ted back elbows Ron. IRS hits Chris off the buckles then boots him.
Ted powerslams Chris. IRS flying lariats Chris and wins.
Thoughts: IRS winning with a flying clothesline was a surprise as he usually uses the samoan drop. At least Ron got a little in before going down. Money Inc were off on some of their double teams here.
Mean Gene Okerlund interviews Macho Man on the stage. Gene says some say Macho's win over Flair was questionable as he pulled the tights.
Macho says he has to be ribbing. He says Flair will do anything and has zero morals and is a zero in life. He said he did what he had to do as Flair would do the same to him. He considers it a done deal. Macho says he didn't steal the title. He said Flair was the only one who stole when he stole a kiss from Miss Elizabeth. Macho says Flair got the kiss of death and he will get him. He says this is the first time when the champ is challenging the title. He says if he thought dropping the title was bad, wait until he gets dropped by him.
We get another video on Crush at a junkyard. He said he loved baseball as a kid. We see him picking up a ball and ripping it somehow. He says he's not playing games anymore now that he is in the WWF.
High Energy (Owen Hart and Koko B. Ware) vs Tom Bennett and Dwayne Gill
This is High Energy's WWF Superstars debut. Owen was teaming with Jim Neidhart in The New Foundation but I think he got fired and Owen has just been doing singles since.
Owen wristlocks Gill. Gill reverses it and Owen headflips out. Gill eye pokes him. Owen moonsaults over him then monkey flips him. High Energy do an inset promo. Koko says the WWF has a new team and says they are coming after everything. Koko says Frankie has high energy. Owen says similar things to Koko. Tom takes a double back elbow. Koko boots Tom out of the corner then bulldogs him.
Koko headbutts Gill. Owen double axe handles Gill. Perfect says Koko was taking time off and making Little Rascalz films. Owen belly to belly suplexes Gill then Gill and Tom are thrown into each other. High Energy hit stereo top rope dropkicks and win.
Thoughts: You could tell High Energy was still figuring it out here. They didn't even have matching outfits yet. Their finisher was nice and it was just a quick squash. Gill's monkey flip bump was great.
The Ultimate Warrior vs Skinner
This is Warrior's first WWF match since Summerslam '91.
Skin spits tobacco in Warrior's face. Warrior pounds his chest and hits slams. Warrior bangs his head off the buckles then punches Skin. Skin is thrown out. Warrior running lariats him outside then throws him back in.
Warrior hits another lariat. Warrior flying shoulders him and splashes him for the win.
Thoughts: It was all squash here. I would have had Warrior just beat a jobber instead of turning Skinner into one. It wasn't much of note but it did what it was supposed to do.
WWF Event Center
The Beverly Brothers and The Genius do a promo on The LOD. Genius says Paul Ellering's photo has been appearing for years on bottles of iodine. Blake says they are the only undefeated team and should be champs. Beau says nobody ever wants to face them and it's just a process of elimination. Beau says The LOD lost their mind and control. Beau says big time doesn't go to their heads and says The LOD won't be big time again.
Sgt. Slaughter does a promo. He thanks fans for bringing out USA flags. He says there's a lot of people he has to take care of and one of them is Mountie. He says Mountie is a stepping stone for him and says he will go through him, Sid or Flair to get to the title. He says they will all be dismissed.
Next week has Ric Flair vs Sgt. Slaughter. Sarge does a promo. He says Ric is scum and slime and a maggot. He says we will see what he's made of. He says when he gets done with him, he will be a former champ and another notch on his stick. Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair do a promo. Perfect says they don't take orders for anyone. Flair says they don't like what he stands for and don't like him period. Flair says they will be stylin' and profilin' if they have to beat Sarge to be #1.
Overall thoughts: It was a pretty noteworthy episode as Warrior returned to action (legit it was probably his first Superstars match since 1990) and High Energy debuting. We got a new Event Center set and we got a Tatanka/Martel angle. The matches were all squashes as usual though. I wouldn't recommend it but it was more interesting than the usual offerings on this show.
