We are in Birmingham, AL.

We see various wrestlers arrive. Seth Rollins is not here with his crew as he got injured at SNME.

Naomi comes out to talk. She says the crowd wasn't feeling the glow but is feeling her now. She said she warned us nobody knows her next move until she makes it and that's why she's women's champ. She says she didn't betray Bianca, she outgrew her. She said Jade wanted her as a flunky and a 3rd wheel, not as a friend. She said she wanted the upperhand and asks who got the upperhand now? She says she advises all the girls in the locker room to proceed with caution.

Rhea Ripley comes out. She says she's not cautious, she's reckless and p!ssed. She said her goals at Evolution were to beat Iyo and win the title. She says Naomi just made it onto her list.

Iyo Sky comes out. She tells Rhea to get in line. She says she walked into Evolution women's champ and will get her title back from her. Naomi says she doesn't know what she said but Iyo and Rhea can get to the back of the line.

Adam Pearce comes out to stop the argument. He congratulates Naomi and welcomes her to Raw. He says she does deserve it and congratulations. Adam says he gets why Iyo and Rhea are p!ssed but the match they had was magic.

Adam says Summerslam is in 3 weeks. He says the attractions, box office and magic need to be bigger. He says we need to blow the roof off of Metlife Stadium. He says they will fight in a three way for the title at Summerslam.

The Judgment Day talk in the back. Finn says he has Dom's title shined up. Dom says he can't relax as AJ Styles is stalking him. Finn says he's untouchable as long as he has the doctor's letter. He said they need to give their full support to Perez and Raquel for keeping the titles this weekend. Perez puts over Raquel. Finn says they need protection from Asuka and Kairi and says Dom should escort them to ringside. Dom asks why him and Finn says they need to make sure they keep the titles for when Liv returns. They say "for Liv".

The Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez) vs The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane)

No entrance for Judgment Day. Sane is shouldered over and tags out. Asuka gets on RR's back with a sleeper. RP russian legsweeps Asuka for 2. Asuka hits a strike flurry with Kawada kicks. RP takes a bulldog and a low knee from Sane.

Sane hits chops on RP then corner forearms her for 2. RP stomps Asuka. Asuka and Sane do stereo submissions and RR drops Sane onto Asuka. Sane keeps the triangle on and takes a stun gun. We go to break and return. Sane stunners RR from the casadora. Sane step up enzugiri's RP. Asuka hits leg kicks on RP then she shoulders her over. Asuka high kicks RR then pop-up knees RP in the face. Asuka sliding knees RP for 2. Sane diving forearms RP off the top for 2. RR is pulled over the top.

Asuka holds RP and Sane top rope elbow drops RP. Dominik Mysterio distracts the ref on the pin attempt. Sane is rammed into the rails by RR and thrown back in. RR is pushed into the post by Asuka.

Asuka top rope dropkicks RP then urakens her and superkicks her in the gut. Asuka germans her. Dom gets on the apron again. Asuka urakens him. RP then rolls up Asuka and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't too much of note here but at least Sane didn't botch anything this time. It was just a match and Judgment Day won as expected.

Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed are interviewed. Paul says Seth has until next June to cash in MITB. He says Seth's health isn't a relevant subject until we get to that deadline. He says Bron Breakker will run the gauntlet tonight and will punch his stamp to Summerslam. He says Bron will defeat Gunther at Summerslam and says he's the next champ.

We see George Kittle kicking The Miz in the face at a golf event this weekend.

Lyra Valkyria is interviewed about her 2/3 falls match with Bayley tonight. She says she's done being asked about Bayley and hopes it puts the topic to bed. Bayley comes in. She says whoever loses goes to the back of the line tonight. She says Lyra might want this but she needs it. Lyra says she respects it and will see her out there. Bay says maybe what's best for her is to stay out of her way and she brushes her side.

#1 Contender's to the Women's IC Title - 2/3 Falls -  Lyra Valkyria vs Bayley

1st fall - Lyra side headlock takeovers her and side headlocks her. Bay sits her on the top rope and pinches her cheek. Lyra hits armdrags and Bay goes out when Lyra leapfrogs her. Lyra hiptosses her and is slapped. Bay rolls her up and pins her.

2nd fall - They trade forearms while holding onto each other. Lyra step up enzugiri's her. Lyra hits strikes and spinning high kicks her. Lyra dropkicks her into the buckles then tornado ddt's her and fisherman suplexes her for 2.

Lyra stomps on her in the corner then is sent hard into the buckles. They do a great slow-mo capture of Lyra's sell for that. Lyra dropkicks her through the ropes. Bay backdrops her on the apron. Bay swinging side slams her for 2. Bay hits forearms to the face. Lyra blocks a la magistral and pins her to tie this at 1 fall a piece.

3rd fall - Bay running knees her for 2. We go to break and return. Lyra dragon screws her. Bay knees her in the face. Lyra kicks her from the top rope then is caught with a belly to belly off the top for 2. Bay is up top and Lyra does a sitout snapmare down. Lyra then botches a doctor bomb for 2.

Lyra hits euros to the knee on the apron and pulls Bay's leg around the 2nd rope. Lyra fisherman suplexes her on the apron. Bay la magistrals Lyra. Lyra takes her down with a jack knife for 2. Bay boots her from under the bottom rope. Bay sunset bombs her into the steps. Bay top rope elbow drops Lyra's back. Bay crossfaces her. Lyra hits nightwing on her and wins it.

Thoughts: I didn't like them wasting the first fall. 2/3 fall matches are supposed to be longer so you might as well make something of the first fall. Bay did work the back some here and mostly did a good job. It had some good moments to it but wasn't quite a classic. I expected Lyra to win here as her vs Becky has been going on for a while and would naturally end at Summerslam.

Becky Lynch comes out after and holds her title up in Lyra's face. 

Stephanie Vaquer is interviewed in the back. She talks in spanish and says she came to WWE to be champ. She says she will be champ in Paris. Chelsea Green's crew comes in. Green says she should represent WWE in Paris. She says La Primera means loser in Spanish. Steph tells her to take her best shot if she wants to know what it means. Green says she's taking her best shot against a hall of famer tonight and Steph can look but she can't touch.

Karrion Kross does a video with Scarlett. He says Sami Zayn is hurt and not here. Scar says Sami is a liar about his injury and Kross agrees. He said Sami folded. He told him to stay home and not come back until he's ready to tell the world the truth.

Nikki Bella vs Chelsea Green

They lock up and Bella backs her up on the ropes. Bella drags her and rolls her up. Bella trips her into the mat then Green slaps her. Green hits her and pounds on her. Bella headscissors her and slaps her. Bella suplexes her and Green slides out.

Green's crew stops Bella from going after her outside. Bella hits forearms. Green backcrackers her while she hangs from the top rope. Bella is thrown into the rails.

Green sliding flatliners her. Green pulls her hair and throws her down backwards. Green then sleepers her. Bella hits running lariats then corner lariats her. Bella 2nd rope twisting enzugiri's her for 2.

Green neckbreakers her for 2. Green facebusters her. Green's crew tries to interfere and Bella thwarts them. Bella hits a bad TKO and wins.

Thoughts: It was going okay until the finish, which Bella botched. That brought this one down.

Piper Niven nails Bella after then Alba superkicks Bella. Piper black hole slams Bella.  

Steph Vaquer comes and makes the save for Bella.

The New Day and Grayson Waller talk to Adam Pearce in the back. Waller gives Adam toupees and Kofi asks when their tag title rematch is. Adam says they will have a chance to earn the rematch and says not to flip your wig. He then flips the wigs onto them.

Adam Pearce talks to Judgment Day. He asks how Dom is feeling after interfering. Dom says he's not cleared. Adam says he called WWE Medical and says Dom is scheduled to be re-evaluated. He says if he is cleared, he will write a contract for him to fight AJ Styles for the IC Title at Summerslam. We then see AJ praying and looking at Dom. Dom says he's not cleared.

Rusev is interviewed. He says the world knows that he's better and superior to Sheamus. Sheamus then walks in. Sheamus says Pearce agreed that Miro is a dorky, cheating b@stard. He says they are having a rematch.

Gunther comes out to talk. He says he retired Bill Goldberg. The crowd chants for Bill. Gunther says he's not coming. He said he choked him out and ended the myth of Bill Goldberg. Gunther asks who's next? 

He says he will take a seat at the suite in the arena and says 5 of WWE's finest competitors will compete for his amusement and to find out who will be his challenger at Summerslam. He says he doesn't care who wins.

Bron Breakker comes out with Paul Heyman and interrupts. Paul shakes Gun's hand. Paul introduces himself. Gun says he's not interested and goes to leave. Bron gets in his way. Paul says Bron runs the gauntlet tonight. He says Gun hasn't been speared until he gets speared by Bron. He says Bron is the next big thing and the big dog. He says this is Bron's yard. He says he's not looking at another contender, he's a Steiner. He says he will break through the glass ceiling in WWE and break Gun's @ss at Summerslam. He says there will be a new world champ at Summerslam and it's Bron Breakker.

#1 Contender's Gauntlet Match

Leg 1 - Bron Breakker vs Penta

Penta boots and clubs him in the corner. Bron overhead suplexes him. Penta flying headscissors Bron. Penta top rope crossbodies Bron. Bron running lariats Penta. Penta pulls Bron over the top then he tope con hilos him outside.

We go to break and return. Penta is laying on the steps. Bron knees Penta in the gut then gorilla press drops him on the steps. Bron stomps on him inside. Bron suplexes him then does push-ups. Bron does another overhead suplex for 2.

We see Gunther watching in a skybox. Bron side headlock Penta and overhead throws him 2 more times. Bron runs into a Penta superkick. Penta slingblade facebusters him. Penta step up enzugiri's him in the corner then handstand double pendulum kicks him in the corner.

Penta goes up and over with a backcracker for 2. Bron jumping knees him. Penta superkicks him. Penta springboards and is caught in the air with a spear. Bron then pins him. 

Leg 2 - Bron Breakker vs LA Knight

LA hits punches as he comes in. Bron fires back. LA lariats him out of the corner. LA flips out of a suplex and neckbreakers him for 2. LA yanks on the arm.

LA is pulled over the top and he brings Bron out with him. Bron is sent shoulder first into the post and his arm is banged off the post. LA lariats him over the top. LA dropkicks him through the ropes. Bron's head is banged off the commentary table. LA is pulled ribs first into the commentary table then Bron drops him ribs first on it. 

LA is swept on the top buckle and goes down. We go to break and return. Bron chokes LA on the 2nd rope. LA hits punches and Bron knees him in the gut 2. Bron waistlocks him. They collide with a double clothesline.

LA hits punches on Bron then spinning lariats him. LA jumping neckbreakers him. LA then ddt's him. LA double jump elbow drops him for 2. Bron tries jumpimg hurricanrana and is powerbombed for 2. LA hits punches.

Bron fireman's carry gutbusters him. Bron hits a big spear and wins.

Leg 3 - Bron Breakker vs Jey Uso

Jey hits punches on Bron then lariats him over the top. Jey then topes him. Jey then wants to yeet to his theme again and his theme plays. We go to break and return.

Bron hits punches on Jey on the buckles. Jey top rope crossbodies him for 2. Jey enzugiri's him then corner hip attacks him. Jey is on the buckles. Bron runs up the buckles and hurricanrana's him for 2.

Jey superkicks Bron twice then spears Bron for 2. Jey goes up top and Bronson Reed pulls Jey down over the top rope. Bron then spears Jey and pins him.

Leg 4 - Bron Breakker vs CM Punk

This is the last leg. Punk pounds on Bron with his jacket still on. Punk step up knees him in the corner, bulldogs him then lariats him over the top. We go to break and return.

Punk yanks on the arm and russian legsweeps him. Punk armlocks him and sends him hard into the buckles. Punk comes off the top and is caught with an overhead suplex. Bron hits corner spears.

Bron running knees Punk in the corner. He asks if it's clobbering time and says, "I don't think so". Bron catapults Punk into the bottom rope. Bron does another overhead suplex. Bron suplexes him for 1. 

Bron backbreakers Punk for 2. Bron tells Punk he's not gonna win and says there's a better solution than what he's doing. Punk is up top, Bron runs up top and hurricanrana's him but Punk rolls through.

Punk drops Bron with a high kick. They trade punches. Punk leg lariats him then neckbreakers him. Punk step up knees him in the corner and short arm clotheslines him. Reed interferes and Punk knocks him off the apron. Punk top rope elbow drops him for 2. Punk then does the anaconda vice. Reed then comes in and elbow drops Punk to break it.

Jey Uso comes back out. He hits punches on Reed then superkicks him. Jey topes him outside. Bron runs into a kick and Punk hits GTS. Punk then wins.

Thoughts: It was a long one but at least everything got time to play out. The no DQ stipulation was dumb with Reed just interfering as he pleased and no one having a plan to deal with it. I didn't like LA losing, but all he ever does is lose big matches. I can't say I'm that excited for Punk/Gunther. Bron/LA was probably the best leg on this one and I do think this helped give Bron more credibility.

Gunther motions to Punk from up in the box and Punk points at him. Reed then corner splashes Punk and pounds on him. Jey pounds on Reed. Bron spears Jey. Bron then spears Punk. Reed stacks Jey and Punk onto each other. Roman Reigns' music then hits.

Roman comes out. Roman superman punches Reed, takes Bron down and pounds on him. Roman samoan drops Reed then superman punches Bron. Roman spears Reed. Roman helps Jey up and they shake hands. Roman shakes hands with Punk too.

Overall thoughts: We only had 4 matches here (though one was a gauntlet with 4 legs). 3 women's matches started us out. The women's tag was average. Lyra/Bayley mostly did a good job. Bella/Green was going okay but then Bella botched the finish and brought it down. The gauntlet was a bit long and a little boring towards the end, but at least we got to see a couple of full length legs out of it and it was alright. Reed's interference was dumb though and I didn't like LA Knight losing, especially after beating Seth on Saturday. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as Bayley/Lyra was mostly good and I did like the gauntlet overall. We also got Roman Reigns' first appearance since Mania. We got little clarity on Seth though, but perhaps that's a good thing as maybe he's not seriously injured. Summerslam is only 3 weeks away and they have a ton of work left to do as they have 2 nights of wrestling to book. I don't know if they have enough time.
