Around the Ring with Gia Miller

Jake Something is this week's guest. He was gone due to having surgery for a torn bicep. He said he trained his good arm while his other arm was injured. He said he was cleared on April 16th. Gia says there was a void without him around. He said he also worked on his garden while he was injured. He said people from the country like him yearn for gardens. He talks about cross pollination on his farm and they talk about growing various fruits and vegetables. 

Brian Johnson comes out to talk. He says his name is Brian Johnson but he says we will call him The Mecca. He says this one man locomotive has gone screaming through the wrestling world without a destination in sight. He says now that he has parked in the station known as TNA, he's not here to make an impact. He's here to put out the flames of the hottest rising star in the industry, Leon Slater. He says Leon is a flash in the pan and it's time TNA lets him cook. He says he's from the greatest city on planet (Philadelphia) and he's "The Mecca" Brian Johnson.

Leon Slater vs Brian Johnson

Brian used to be in ROH. He wore a blue cape out.  Mark Madden is on commentary. BJ wristlocks him. Leon headflips out and flips him by the arm. BJ forearms him then takes a jumping leg lariat. Leon goes up top and BJ moves. BJ tries to pull Leon into the buckles face first. BJ short arm clotheslines him three times.

BJ elbows Leon in the face then throws him hard into the corner. Leon chops him. BJ chinlocks him. Leon is nearly pushed into the ref. BJ eye pokes Leon for 2.

Leon hits lariats then handspring back elbows him. Leon springboard crossbodies him but BJ backrolls into a pin. Leon standing blue thunders him. Leon htis the swanton 450 and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. BJ was a good heel here and his mic work pre-match was good. Leon was fine as a face and hit his usual impressive swanton 450 to win. This couldn't have went much better thna it did and it was a success.

Moose then comes out and spears Leon after.

Overall thoughts: There was only one new match and one new interview as usual. I liked the match as both guys looked good and Brian Johnson definitely looked worthy of getting a chance at coming back.  We also got some rare storyline progression with Moose spearing Leon. There was nothing must see on this one though and you can skip it.
