Vic Joseph, Booker T and Corey Graves are on commentary.

The girls in the four-way tonight talk about while they will win separately next to their logos. Lash talks first. Izzi Dame says there's no glory in the darkness and says The Culling always wins. Jaida Parker says she will do whatever it takes to get hers and hers is the Women's Title match at Evolution. Jordynne Grace said she got here by building her strength by scratch. She said she didn't come to WWE to not be a champ. She says she will have her hand raised tonight. She says she will become champ at Evolution, because she has to.

TNA World Title - Trick Williams (c) vs Josh Briggs

Josh has a smoking skull on his shoulder and has Inamura with him.

Trick pushes him from behind off a failed lock-up. Trick does capoeira. Josh bangs Trick's head off the buckles and clubs him. Josh flying lariats Trick for 2. Trick hits chops on Josh. Josh hits punches to the gut and the head.

Josh takes a side headlock takeover. Trick does another one. Josh suplexes him. Trick hits a big lariat. Josh claps and laughs and Trick does it again. Josh hits a hard back elbow then Trick hits a nice dropkick.

Trick goes up in Inamura's face outside. Trick tries to hit him but is sent into Josh's boot. We go to PiP break and return. Trick front facelocks him then jumping side kicks him. Josh tries to hulk. Josh catches Trick's jumping side kick and slams him down. Josh side slams and splashes him. Josh hits running back elbows and Trick 2nd rope flying knees him for 2.

Trick hits mounted punches. Trick hits an uppercut. Josh escapes a powerbomb and chokeslams Trick for 2. They trade shots on their knees. Josh hits a stiff facekick. Trick up kicks him then pump kicks him. Josh then hits a big short arm lariat.

Josh misses a top rope moonsault then Trick hits a trick shot and wins.

Thoughts: I liked this. This was a different Trick match than usual with him doing more of a strong style type of match. They did a lot of striking here and they kept it interesting. Trick won as expected.

Trick gets on the mic after. He says it's time we put some respect on his name. He said he went from carrying HIM to carrying 2 brands at one time. He says he's the greatest TNA champ of all-time.

Joe Hendry's music hits. Trick waits for him then Joe appears from behind and hits lariats. Joe lariats him over the top rope to the floor. We see NQCC talk earlier. Tavion says Dempsey intentionally hurt him earlier. Dempsey says it was a training accident. Dempsey says he's going to face Je'Von instead of him. Tav says he has a mask and says he got this. Dempsey doesn't seem excited.

Myles Borne talks to two football players - Geurge Gumbs Jr and Tyreak Sapp. He said he's a Gators fan, which is the team they play for. He says this is their season. Lexis King tries to interrupt but Borne ignores him. Borne says King took every shortcut possible and he worked hard to get here. King calls the football players losers and says The Gator's haven't done jack in 2 decades. The football players get mad and King leaves.

Tavion Heights vs Je'Von Evans

Tav can leave NQCC if he wins and has NQCC with him. Tav has a face guard on. Tav waistlock takedowns him multiple times. Tac rolls him up for 2 then does another cradle. Tav fireman's carry takeovers him then armlocks him.

Evans armdrags him then springboard twisting crossbodies him. Evans seated springboard headscissors him. Evans then suicide dives him outside. We go to break and return.

They trade shots. Tav flying lariats him for 2. Tav hits a german for 2. Evans corkscrew kicks him off the ropes then superkicks him. Evans double jump tornillos him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was short but I liked it. They put over Tav's amateur wrestling well and it was a different type of match than usual as Evans didn't get to fly very much early on.

Jasper Troy then comes in and black hole slams Evans after. 

We get a video on the D'Angelo Family vs Stacks feud.

Noam Dar is injured and has to vacate his Heritage Cup tonight. Stacks fights for it against an unknown opponent tonight. Luca does a tweet video and says Tony D'Angelo will fight Stacks for it. Tony says it's not bad and says we are on the way to regaining trust. Stacks says he will take the Cup that used to be Tony's and make it his. Stacks thanks Luca and calls him his consigliere.

Ricky Saints vs Ashantee "Thee" Adonis

AA throws his jacket at RS and thye start fighting. RS hits punches. RS kicks him then hits a big punch. AA's head is banged off the buckles. RS ropewalks then clubs AA. AA is thrown out.

We go to break and return. AA ddt's him hits an attitude adjustment for 2. RS is sent into the buckles face first. RS hits lariats then he has trouble lifting AA. RS overhead throws him. RS tornado ddt's him.

RS hits a big spear then hits a roshambo. RS then wins.

Thoughts: RS won as expected. It was short and not too much of note other than RS struggling to throw AA.

Ethan Page appears on the tron. The screen freezes then Page nails RS from behind with the title. Page then pounds on him. Page hits his own roshambo on RS.

Dark State do a video. They ask if we forgot about them. They say they have something hot cooking and they will get their attention back. Shugars says wait for the pot to boil over and burn this thing to the ground. He says ain't nobody safe.

Oba Femi comes out to talk. Oba says he's taken on any opponent who has challenged him. He said one by one them came and fell. He says they are footnotes to his legacy. He says he sits comfortably up top but this is where it goes south. He says he gets restless when he's idle and there's no competition. Oba says this is your moment for anyone who wants to ste up.

Yoshiki Inamura comes out. YI says he came to NXT to chase glory like Oba. He said he went home when it didn't come. He said he realized the things he missed, saying he missed Briggs and NXT. He says he loves NXT.

He says he loves the passion of the fans and wants to pay them back by becoming NXT champ. Oba says they both know what it is like to be strangers in a different place. He says YI can't fool him and we have an audio issue. He says he sees a man who craves the fight like him. He says when he faces the ruler, he will fall like everyone else. YI says he's ready.

Jasper Troy then boyblocks YI outside. Troy gets up in Oba's face and Oba holds the title up at him.

Izzi Dame gives Tatum Paxley a doll in the back. She asks if she will be in her corner tonight. Sol Ruca and Zaria come in and say she can't be serious. Izzi says Zaria is bitter about her loss and says the only title she will get close to is the one held by her best friend Sol.

Tatum goes up to The Culling and introduces her. Tatum says she will be with Izzi at ringside. Spears says they have their eyes on gold and won't be there.

The High Ryze talk to Trick Williams in the back. Trick says Joe Hendry got him messed up and now's not the time. Trick said he had things set up last week then he got splashed. He said Joe hit him from behind tonight. Wes said he's facing Joe Hendry next week and will whoop his @ss. Trick says to take care of Joe next week and he will owe him one.

NXT Heritage Cup - Stacks vs Tony D'Angelo

This is vacant as Noam Dar was somehow injured. I thought he was going to keep it to bring the cup to NXT Europe when it likely returns later this year. Stacks has a bunch of unknown people with him while Tony has nobody.

Round 1 - Tony hits shots on Stacks then corner lariats him. Tony hits shots to the gut and the head. Stacks hits shots to the gut. Tony wristlocks him and hits punches. Tony hiptosses Stakcs in the ring from the apron.

Stacks takes a back body drop. Stacks stomps on Tony. Tony belly to belly overhead suplexes him. Stacks knee chokes Tony. They trade punches and Tony takes him down. Tony hits mounted punches. Stacks hits shots and the round ends.

Round 2 - Tony takes him down and pounds on him. Tony hits a flying forearm. Tony knocks him off the apron into the commentary table. Tony hits a nice spear and pins Stacks. Tony leads 1-0.

Round 3 - We join this with 18 seconds left as it started during a break. Stacks hits a knee curbstomp for a nearfall.

Round 4 - Stacks stomps Tony between the rounds. Tony hits forearms and punches. Tony's knee gives out and Stacks cradles him. Stacks pins him.

Round 5 - Luca Crusifino comes out and gets in Tony's corner. Stacks takes him down then does an indian deathlock. Tony hits punches then knocks Stacks down. He belly to belly suplexes Stacks then spinebusters him. Stacks is hiptossed onto his seconds outside. Tony nails one of them. Luca hits Tony in the back with a bucket on accident as he tugs over it. Stacks hits a boom knee from behind and pins Tony to win this 2-1.

Thoughts: I didn't like the 3rd Round being mostly cut but that's what happens in these matches on TV. The match was acceptable but nothing of note and was mostly notable for Luca costing Tony the match on accident. 

Luca tries to explain things to Tony after. Tony decks him. He says he doesn't trust him or Stacks either.

Fatal Influence are interviewed in the back. Fallon says Blake Monroe thought she was going to walk in and go straight to the top. Jacy says last week was their fun way of welcoming Blake to their division. Jacy says Evolution is a historic event and she said she saw the first one and wanted to make sure she was on the next. She says whoever gets their hand raised tonight, won't be getting it raised in Atlanta.

Thea Hail talks to people from WWE LFG in the back. Lainey Reid comes up to her and said she got played like a fiddle. Thea says she doesn't know her. She said Thea hasn't changed a bit. Lash comes in and tells them to solve it later as she has a fatal four way match.

Ethan Page gets yelled at by Ava. They argue and Page tells her to make sure Ricky stays far away from him. Ava says not to p!ss her off. Ava says Page and Ricky need to be in her office next week and says they will settle it. Page says they can settle it but it'll be on her terms.

Hank and Tank get attacked right after but we can't see who did it.

Joe Hendry is interviewed in the back. He says he thinks about Trick beating him for the title every night. He says he can't control the past but will get his chance to regain the title from Trick at Slammiversary. He says Trick shows up when he wants in TNA and he is returning the favor by showing up here. He says Wes Lee has forgotten where he has came from and he will remind him when he faces him.

We get an AEW Dynamite ad during commercials with Mone and Adam Page on it.

We go to Chase U. Uriah and Kale are working hard in class. Chase says what he said last week was fact. He says the toughest road creates champs and Kale/Uriah need to toughen up. Uriah says he's tripping and Chase asks who he thinks he is. Chase says this attitude built Chase U and it's the university they wanted part of it. Kale says that's the attitude that built this university and that's what destroyed it. Kale tells Uriah he thought it would be different this time and said he can't believe he called out to him to open it back up. 

#1 Contenders Match - Lash Legend vs Jordynne Grace vs Jaida Parker vs Izzi Dame

Tatum is with Izzi. The four pair off and fight. Lash misses a charge and JP knees her in the gut. Lash drops her with a forearm. Lash pendulum backbreakers JG. Lash suplexes JP. Izzi and Lash face off. They shove each other then JG and JP get sent hard into the corners.

Lash chops Izzi then lariats her. Izzi is sent out. Lash hits corner spears on JG. Lash misses a corner spear. JG hits strikes on JP. JG fisherman suplexes JP for 2. Thea is rammed into the buckles by Izzi then thrown overhead.

Izzi drops Thea chest first. JP top rope crossbodies Lash. JP shoulders over Izzi. JP gordbusters JG. Lash bangs JP's head off the commentary table. JG topes Lash. JP shoulders over Izzi.

Tatum trips JP. JP rolls up Izzi for 2. Sol and Zaria come out and Zar carries Tatum to the back despite her protests. We see Fatal Influence looking shocked maybe from the risers. We go to PiP break and return. JP step up butt presses Izzi on the 2nd rope. She then does it to JG. JP samoan drops Lash. Izzi boots JP over then swinging side slams Thea for 2. Lash swings JP into Izzi then throws her.

JP backcrackers Lash. Lash blocks JP's sunset flip but JG 2nd rope crossbodies her over. Izzi forearms JP down. We get a tower of doom spot with JG powerbombing everyone. JG world's strongest slams JP then misses a vader bomb. JP running hip attacks JG out. Lash pump kicks JP. Lash drops JP on her gut for 2.

JG facekicks Lash through the ropes. JG torture rack drops JP and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a bit tough to keep up with as the action was fast and there were a lot of people involved. It was fine but not great. I'm not a big fan of Grace winning but she was basically the only face here and she had the best chance since the match will be against the heel Jacy Jayne at Evolution.

Overall thoughts: I liked the opener and thought it was a different type of match from Trick than usual. Tavion/Evans was short but interesting. Saints/Adonis wasn't that much of note. Stacks/Tony was about average and the main was okay for what it was but nothing too great. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it was an average but watchable show and just didn't have anything too great in it. Trick/Josh is maybe worth seeing if you want to see a different type of Trick match.
