I think we have a new theme for Dynamite.

We are in Detroit, Michigan. Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

Adam Page comes out to talk. He says he doesn't understand why even one fan would cheer for him. Page says the last two years were a special kind of hell. He said he took Swerve's hopes and dreams and nearly killed him. He said he thought he would feel joy at the end of the cage match and felt nothing. He says he thought about couldn't finish the job but couldn't and doesn't know why.

He says he won't forget or forgive what Swerve did but he will have to put it behind him. He says he will wrestle Will Ospreay, who is the best wrestler in the world.

Will Ospreay comes out. Will says it's the first time they ever spoke and it's a pleasure to meet him. He says his favorite moment was Page leading The Dark Order. Will says Page smiled after beating Kyle Fletcher and it's something we didn't see for a while. Will says we all want to see him reclaim his spot as the main character but he has a problem with it as he's not losing to him. Will says he's been doing Page's jobs. He says he showed the fans this is where the best wrestle. Will says it's not about Page's redemption but will's ascension.

The Don Callis Family come on the stage. Don says Will shows how stupid he is everyday. He says the stupidest day of his life was when he left The Family. He says Will is standing with a violent sociopath. Will challenges Don to bring 2 of his men down here now. Don says they can't get through a segment right now without killing each other. He says he will put any two members of his family against them if Page doesn't have another mental breakdown. Pae gets mad at will and stares him down.

FTR and Stokeley Hathaway come up to Tony. Stoke says Tony keeps saying negative things about them. Stoke makes a remark calling him a "pale and pasty" piece of sh!t then pushes him down. Tony gets up and FTR get in the way. Cash then starts talking about Daniel Garcia. He says it will hurt them more than it will hurt Garcia tomorrow. They say they will see Garcia tomorrow.

Harley Cameron tries to hype up Anna. Anna asks if she will help her with her fat @ss. Harley says the has "T" and Anna has the "A". Anna asks who wants to get choked out and Harley raises her hand. Anna then rides Harley out. 

AEW Women's Title Eliminator - Toni Storm vs Thunder Rosa vs Penelope Ford vs Anna Jay

Anna stomps on Ford in the corner. Toni side headlocks Rosa then shoulders her over. Rosa flying headscissors her. Rosa dropkicks Toni on the ropes. Rosa armdrags Ford and rolls her up for 2. Rosa slams Ford then misses a splash.

Ford rolls Rosa then dropkicks her on the ropes. Anna spin kicks Ford while she's between the ropes then neckbreakers her over the 2nd rope. Toni fisherman suplexes Anna and Ford breaks it up. Ford apron moonsaults onto Toni and Anna. Rosa tornillo's off the top onto the girls outside.

We go to PiP break and return. Toni and Ford trade. Toni germans her. Anna suplexes Ford on the floor then Rosa ddt's Anna on the floor. Ford hits a top rope moonsault on the floor. Toni hits a splash on Ford and Anna in the corner then hip attacks both. Rosa then jumps off Toni and dropkicks both.

Megan Bayne comes out. She hits shots on Toni and Rosa. Anna goes up to Meg and hits forearms. Ford hits Anna from behind then is hit. Meg forearms Anna. Meg sitout powerbombs Anna. Harley Cameron then comes in the ring and lariats Meg over the top. Meg pulls her out. Harley hits Meg with a pipe. Ford indian deathlocks Anna. Toni then chickenwings Ford and submits her.

Thoughts: I didn't like Megan interfering at all especially with the ref not doing anything about it. The other girls were dumb not to use weapons since there clearly were no rules. Toni winning helps no one and builds to nothing. It was a spotty match like most four-ways and could have been a little cleaner at times.

The Hurt Syndicate come out. Cru comes to sit in the front row. MVP asks where are the people stepping up to take the tag titles? He says they like to hurt people but who will hurt them? He asks who will step up.

Top Flight come out. Darius says they can't be afraid to see this as an opportunity. Darius says they've been hurt before and get up every single time. Dante says they have held their own against  top teams and can do it again.

MJF then comes out and drops Top Flight. Darius is sent into the post and Dante gets pounded on. Dante is busted open and takes an apron edge powerbomb. MJF then stares down Bobby. MJF says, "I hurt people". Bobby says he will have an answer for him next week.

Thoughts: I could beat up Top Flight. It's not exactly super impressive. MJF should beat up Big Bill or someone like that to impress.

The Young Bucks and Okada talk. The Bucks say it's a big night for The Elite. Okada says, "have a good night, b!tch" to Kevin Knight. Ricochet then walks in and they say tonight's match was Ric's idea. Ric says he knows how to beat Bailey, Briscoe and Swerve. He says to follow his lead and they will take them to victory. The Bucks then find The Death Riders in their locker room.

ROH TV Title - Nick Wayne (c) vs Rhino

They say Rhino is here as he's a figure from Christian's past. Rhino is also from Michigan.

Rhyno shoulders him over. Nick double boots him out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks him. Nick stomps him in the corner then chinlocks him. Nick misses a standing moonsault. Rhino hits shots then lariats him.

Rhino hits a corner spear then belly to belly suplexes him. Kip Sabian distracts the ref then Rhino spinebusters Nick. Nick hits a killswitch and wins.

Thoughts: This was short and a total waste here with Nick winning way too soon. 

The crowd chants "BS" after. Christian drops the title in front of Nick and leaves. 

Rush does a promo on Kevin Knight. He says he cost him $100k and will pay him with blood. He says when you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) and Ricochet vs Swerve Strickland, Mike Bailey and Mark Briscoe

Swerve and Ric get in first. Swerve hits punches and stomps on him. Swerve running boots him. Swerve has Mike on his shoulders and throws him into a hurricanrana on Ric. Mark sliding lariats Ric. Mike slaps Ric in the back of the head. Ric hits Mike from behind after he gets hit. A Buck is popped up into a dropkick on Mark. The Bucks do stereo swantons and Ric does a kneeling springboard swanton.

The heels pose. The faces go after them and the heels go out. Ric is pump kicked off the apron onto them. The faces then do triple stereo dives. Mark bites a Buck outside. Ric takes shots for Mike and Mark. Nick hits a slingshot facebuster then a moonsault to the outside. Mike is laid over the top rope and is double stomped into a powerbomb. Ric springboard 450's Mike. We go to PiP break and return.

Rick knees Mark in the gut. Mark flips out of a back body drop. Mark back enzugiri's Ric. Mike hits kicks on a Buck then hits kicks on the other. Mike then running ssp's the Buck for 2. Mike hurricanrana's a Buck off the apron into the other outside.

Mike does a standing spanish fly variation on a Buck. Ric and Swerve kick each other at the same time. Ric M. Bison stomps him. Mark then hits exploders on Ric and a Buck. Mike hits a top rope dropkick. We get a house call kick and Swerve no sells a canadian destroyer.

Swerve upkicks a Buck then 2nd rope euros the other in the back of the neck. Swerve hits a double suplex on The Buck's. Swerve blocks Ric's springboard hurricanrana and powerslams him. Mark hits a rolling death valley driver then Mike hits a moonsault double knee. Mark hits a top rope elbow drop.

Mark and Mike do dives outside and Swerve is cradled by a Buxck and pinned.

Thoughts: It was a fast-paced spotfest as you would expect. It had a ton of flips and cool moves and if you blinked, you missed something. As expected, there wasn't a bunch of selling. I wasn't a fan of it.

Will Ospreay is interviewed by Renee. MJF interrupts. He tells people to buy a Dynamite Diamond Ring on AEW's site. MJF says he wants Will to win the Owen Hart Cup so he can win MJF's title. MJF then says when he wrestles him, he can get an easy W. Will asks why wasn't he in the Owen Hart Cup and suggests he had some fear in him. He says he's afraid Will might dump him on his head again.

MJF says Will is the reason they put directions on shampoo bottles. He says he hopes they wrestle again as he can find out that no one is on the level of the devil. Will says he is on another level.

Renee does a sitdown interview with Jamie Hayter. She says the match with Mercedes means more to her than it does Mone. She says she will be d@mned if Owen's legacy is repped by Mone. She says she wants to know the real Mone. Renee says there's no denying what Mone has accomplished. She says her and Mone are nothing alike. Jamie says she doesn't have her starpower but has integrity and grit. It says it is about showing that Mone isn't untouchable. She says Mone is looking past her. Mone then comes in and tries to hit her and they fight out into the arena. They fight  on the steps in the seats. Mone ducks a lariat on the stage and runs. Jamie poses as she thinks Mone left then Mone hits her from behind. Mone then crossfaces her.

Willow Nightingale is interviewed by Alicia Atout, who looks like a different person. She says she's one of many who wants to put an end to The Death Riders. Kris Statlander walks in. She says if she doesn't want to talk in the back, they will do it here. Willow says she gets it but has nothing to say. She says she didn't win The Owen because of her. Willow says they can fight tomorrow if she wants. Kris agrees. 

AEW Continental Title Eliminator - Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Kevin Knight

KK is hit by Rush on the ramp as he enters. Rush throws KK face first nnto the steps then the rails. Mike Bailey comes out to save KK and Rush points at Mike. KK is hurting but still does the match.

Okada boots and ddt's KK for 2. KK sunset flips him. They trade forearms. Okada flapjacks him. Okada footslaps KK. KK hits forearms. KK is sat on the top rope and Okada dropkicks him down to the outside.

We go to PiP break and return. KK hits boots on okada in the corner and foot chokes him. Okada eye pokes him. KK hits a sky high for 2. Okada sits on the top rope and KK jumps from the mat to hurricanrana him. KK hits a standing frogsplash for 2. Okada over the back neckbreakers him on the knee. Okada slams him then hits a top rope elbow drop.

KK backslides him and pele kicks him after jumping over a lariat. Okada gets his knees up on a springboard splash. Okada misses a dropkick then facekicks him. KK dropkicks him. Okada hits a rainmaker soon after and wins.

Thoughts: It was a decent match. Kevin jumping over the lariat was a cool spot and it had a lot of Okada's usual stuff in it. Okada winning was no surprise here.

Okada hits rainmakers on Kevin after then Mike Bailey makes the save. 

The Don Callis Family talks. Don says The Outrunners want to challenge Rocky and Trent. He tells them to find more partners and they can take the whole Family on.

The Hurt Syndicate are interviewed in the back. They have a legal counsel with them named Harrison Landow and MVP says when he speaks, they listen. Bobby says he will give his answer on MJF next week.

Samoa Joe vs Claudio Castagnoli

They lock up. CC hits euros in the corner. Joe lariats CC on the apron then sends him into the rails. Joe is dropped gut first on the rail top. CC runs at Joe and is uranage'd on the floor. Joe running facekicks him outside. They go back in and Joe hits hard chops. Joe running back elbows him in the corner and enzugiri's him. CC pulls Joe's arm down over the top rope. 

We go to PiP break and return. CC chinlocks him and hits knees to the body. CC does a cobra clutch. Joe powerslams him. Joe atomic drops him and running facekicks him. Joe is nearly pushed into the ref. CC eye pokes him then running lariats him for 2. CC springboard euros him. Joe then does a grounded choke and CC taps out immediately.

Thoughts: The ending was a bit sudden here. These two each hit a lot of hard shots and the wrestling was alright here, but I would have liked a better finish.

The Death Riders come out. Hobbs then comes out with a chair and The Riders pause in their tracks. Hobbs then chairs CC. Joe drops CC body first on an open chair.

Overall thoughts: The opener was it was but the logic was stupid with Bayne opening interfering and nobody else thinking of trying to use a weapon. MJF beating up Top Flight wasn't particularly impressive. The crowd chanted "BS" at Nick Wayne beating Rhino in quick fasion. We had a long spotfest trios match with The Bucks. Okada/Knight was fine. The main had a bad finish and that brought down what was an otherwise okay match. I thought it was about average overall but most of it made sense and there's been worse Dynamite's. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. There's nothing you really need to see here and it was not a super interesting show.
