NWA Powerrr 11/19/2024

Danny Dealz is in the ring with Eric Smalls, Slade and Rolando Freeman. Danny says Eric lost the family jewels match and now Rolando can kick him in the nuts. Eric says he's a man of his word and says he will allow him to kick him in the nuts. Rolando says Eric better not cross him. He says he knows he has a family and hopes he has no plans to make it bigger. Danny has Eric stand on a chair. Rolando teases punching him in the nuts and asks Slade for a good luck kiss on the hand.

Rolando then tells Slade to do it. Billy Corgan says we aren't doing this again. Rolando hits him and is in pain. Eric is confused as Rolando says he broke his hand. Eric then reveals that he wore a cup. BFT show up behind Eric and facekick him. Aron Stevens comes in. Eric is held in the air and Aron punches him in the nuts. Aron then does a mongrovian spike to Eric's nuts. Aron then stomps on Eric's nuts.

Thoughts: This is the storyline that never ends. I thought we were already done with it to be honest. It's been going on for months now (with weeks in between where it wasn't mentioned) and we finally got a conclusion. I really hope we are finally done with it because it's dumb.

NWA World Women's Tag Team Title Match - The It Girls (Ella Envy & Miss Starr) (c) vs. Caribbean Flow (La Rosa Negra & Ruthie Jay)

Rosa and Starr go at it. Starr wristlocks her and yanks on the arm. Rosa side headlocks her. Starr side headlocks her and pulls Rosa by the hair. Starr throws her down by the hair then hits a samoan drop.

Rosa hits some kicks then flapjacks Starr. Rosa low dropkicks Starr for 2. Jay crossbodies Starr then legdrops her for 2. Ella gets in. Jay dropkicks Ella then bulldogs her off the casadora. Jay runs into Ella's boot in the corner then Jay is sent into the post shoulder first.

We go to break and return. Jay is thrown hard into the corner and Ella corner hip attacks her. Ella then stinkfaces her. Starr hits Jay in the gut and backsplashes her there. Starr headscissors Jay and bangs her head off the mat. 

Ella chops Jay in the corner then hits corner spears. Jay rolls up Ella for 2 then Ella bangs Jay's head off the mat. Ella pulls Jay's arms back and they double clothesline each other down. Rosa gets in and knocks down her opponents. She roundhouse kicks Jay then airplane spins her. Rosa then hits an AA.

Rosa misses a top rope splash. The bell rings and they have gone to a time limit draw.

Thoughts: The match wasn't anything special and the ending was stupid. They didn't make us aware of how much time was left so when it ended, it was by total surprise. This didn't accomplish much and was random.

We get a video on Hailey J. She says she's here to take over and is an international superstar. She says superstars don't wait in the back of the line, they go right to the front. She says after she curbstomps Kenzie Paige, Kylie will come for her and she will be one step closer to the women's title.

May Valentine interviews The Paige Sisters. Kenzie says her knee is bothering her. Kylie then says her knee is bothering her too and her shoulder hurts. Kenzie says she doesn't feel 110% and it wouldn't be fair to everyone is she wrestled Natalia Markova tonight.

EC3 vs. Nick Gene

They lock up. Billy Corgan says Eric Smalls had to go to the hospital. He says Kyle Davis is also still suffering. EC headlock takeovers Nick. EC side headlocks him then EC shoulders him over. They botch a spot then EC chops him in the corner.

Nick's head is banged off the buckles. EC chops him and hits a corner lariat. EC flying forearms him. EC corner splashes him then hits a cutter. Nick is thrown out. EC front facelocks him and throws him backwards off of it. EC throws Nick out. 

EC goes out and bangs the commentary table for some reason. Nick spinebusters EC and both are down. Nick hits punches and corner spears. EC hits a thesz press then olympic slams him. EC then hits a headlock driver and wins.

Thoughts: It was a total squash that went longer than it needed to. I don't think anyone bought that Nick had a chance here and he lost as expected. EC's doing some new thing where he takes other wrestlers moves (the side effect and the angle slam) that he faced and gives them new names.

The Colon's (Epico Colon & Primo Colon) vs. The Rewind Society (Samuel C & VHS)

This is The Colon's NWA debut. This is also The Society's NWA Powerrr debut. Samuel C has long hair and VHS is bald. Primo trips up his opponent then is tripped. Sam dances and is tripped into the ropes. Primo then slides down his back while he's on the ropes. Primo is slingshotted in with a senton on Sam.

Sam rolls up Primo. Primo takes a double hiptoss. The Society do The House Party dance and do a double elbow drop. VHS chops Primo in the corner and gets crotched on the top rope. Primo lariats him and tags in Epico.

Epico cranks VHS' head. VHS jawbreakers him then takes a backdrop. Epico then germans him and brainbusters him for 2. Epico pounds on VHS. Sam gets in and hits punches on Epico. Epico lariats him over.

Sam takes a backstabber from Primo and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was just a match here. We knew The Colon's were winning and they did. It wasn't anything of note.

We get clips of Mims and Blk Jeez. Jeez says Mims would hold a title before the year is over and now does. He asks why Paul Birchall thinks he can get in their business. Mims says Paul thinks he is worthy of being a champ and asks how much it is worth. Jeez tells Paul to give to the church to get a title shot and Mims says he just doesn't give out title shots.

NWA World Women's Title Match - Kenzie Paige (c) vs. Natalia Markova

Paige superkicks Nat as she poses. Paige clubs on her and chops her. Nat goes up and over her then rolls her up. Nat running lariats her then hits forearms. Nat running knees her in the corner and throws her by the arm. Nat split drops her for 2.

Paige stomps her foot and hits chops. Nat is up top and gets hit. Nat hits a nice top rope dropkick. Tiffany Nieves then runs in the ring and cutters Paige. Natalia Markova is DQ'd.

Nat then cases after Nieves.

Thoughts: This was random. Tiff screwed Nat here for unknown reasons. Nat hit a nice dropkick off the top. This was one was short with a screwjob finish.

We get a music video on The Cazana's with a song called, "By The Book".

They announce that NWA now has NWA Texas in San Antonio, Texas. We see clips of Rodney Mack, Jazz and Joe Galli in the ring. Joe says they wouldn't have the women's division they have without Jazz. Joe says they have the best women's division in the sport (that's a whopper of a lie, but what else is he supposed to say?). Joe says this is now known as NWA Texas.

Alex Taylor vs. Christian Anderson

Alex boots him in the gut then clubs on him. Alex hits a crossface shot then he slams him. Alex misses a knee drop then CA hits armdrags. Alex knees CA in the gut.

CA flips out of a backdrop. Alex backcrackers him then poses on him. Alex dropkicks him then boots him in the corner. Alex pulls CA's neck forward. CA hits a 2nd rope crossbody for 2. CA misses a corner splash. CA is caught on a double jump moonsault then thrown into the buckles. Alex hits a cradle shock and wins.

Thoughts: This was another random squash here. Alex won as expected. CA tried but it wasn't much of note.

Overall thoughts: It was a bad episode of NWA Powerrr as usual. I hate to have to constantly be negative about this show because I would love for The NWA to be doing well, but it's a hard show to watch. The matches were random. We had a 10 minute draw where they didn't give us any warning of how much time was left on the clock. Tiffany Nieves ran in during the women's match to screw Natalia Markova over for some reason. We also had 3 squashes and the continuation of the angle where Eric Smalls is supposed to get kicked in the nuts which I thought was over already. The new NWA champ Thom Latimer is nowhere to be found and we got no follow up on anything that happened last week. The show is just awful and it's pretty much all on the booking. I dread watching this show every week. I would give this like a 2 out of 10 and would not recommend it.
