Christian Cage and Adam Page vs The Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson)

Jay backs up Page on the ropes. Page side headlocks him. Jay side headlock takeovers him. Jay side headlocks him again and is thrown off. Page stomps on him. CC gets in and is thrown into the buckles chest first. Juice gets in.

CC hits some punches then Juice hits some. CC hits a reverse ddt neckbreaker on Juice and throws him out. Nick Wayne kicks Juice on the outside. Page hits chops on Juice then belly to belly suplexes him. CC stands on Juice's head. CC neckbreakers Juice for 2. CC throws Juice out. Nick goes to kick Juice again but Hook grabs him and they fight to the back.

Juice reverse ddt's CC on the floor. Jay is tagged in. He and Page trade forearms. Jay dragon screws Page and CC. Jay ddt's Page then CC. Jay underhook suplexes Page into the buckles. Juice cannonballs Page in the corner. Jay brainbusters Page for 2. 

Juice nails CC on the outside. Juice then is crotched on the top rope. Page springboard lariats Jay while Jay is on the apron. Page hits a 2nd rope fallway slam for 2. PAge then ligerbombs him for 2. Jay flatliners Page then suplexes him. Jay then bladrunners CC into the rails outside. Juice hits punches on Page. Mother Wayne gets on the apron while Juice has a pin on Page.

Juice goes up to her then is hit with a briefcase by Kip. Page hits deadeye on Juice and wins.

Thoughts: It was average. It was a slower one with a dirty finish and the crowd wasn't that into it. I also thought the 2nd rope fallaway slam was unnecessary.

Renee interviews Kamille and Mercedes Mone. Kamille's arm is in a sling. Mone says she didn't try to run over Kris last week but it was Kamille who couldn't drive. Mone says she's not afraid of Kris Statlander and said she made her beg for mercy. Kris then shows up behind Mone and chases her. Kamille tries to help out and is sent into the wall. Mone hits Kris and eye rakes her. Kris then spears her through a wall.

Tony Schiavone talks on Will Ospreay in the ring. Tony messes up Takeshita's name. Will says he needs answers from The Don Callis Family and says he's going to call out Kyle Fletcher. He tells Kyle to come out.

Kyle comes out. He says Don begged him not to come out. He says he has to prove he's not a coward though. He says called Will out last week but Will sat at home instead. Kyle says the family isn't far behind and Will will be sent home for a lot longer than 3 weeks if he puts a finger on him. Will tells him to get whatever he has in his back pocket out. Kyle then gives him a screwdriver.

Will says Kyle knows everything about him and says he wants answers. Kyle says Don only opened his eyes to the truth. He says Will did stuff for him but thinks Will was doing it for himself. He says Will wanted him to be his clone so he did his dirty work. He says Will is a selfish hypocrite. He says Will would have done the same thing.

Will asks if he's just his clone. He says he stabbed Kenny Omega in the back but said he has held gold on every continent he has gone to. He asks what Kyle has done on his own. Kyle says what about he's going to do? He says he will outdo Will and will prove it at Full Gear in a singles match with him.

Will says Kyle wants his 5 minutes of fame. Will says he's called "Mr. Pay-per-view". He says none of the champs can match what he does on a PPV. He says he accepts his challenge. He says he couldn't feel his hand after Kyle hit a tiger drive on him. Will says he will put the carrot in front of Kyle and take it away from him at Full Gear. Kyle says he's not coming for a piece at the PPV, he's coming for everything. He says let's find out what condition he shows up in. Brian Cage and Lance Archer come in the ring. Hobbs and Mark Davis then join Will. They all then fight. Will plancha's Kyle on the outside and sends him into the steps. 4 of the 6 fight to the back then Lance follows. 

Roderick Strong then hits Lance with a kendo stick.

Falls Count Anywhere - Lance Archer vs Roderick Strong

Strong has to win here to get into the Cole/MJF match. This will be his 3rd win. Lance chokeslams RS through a table but we can't really see it. We go to PiP break and return. Lance is tripped into the hockey boards. RS bangs Lance's head off the hockey boards. Brian Cage beats up RS. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett help out RS. Lance and Taven get on top of the hockey boards and Taven is chokeslammed into security.

RS' arm is busted open. He chairs Lance. RS jumps over the hockey board and flying knees Lance. RS then wins.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. It was stupid that Will, Hobbs and Mark were fighting Cage and Lance then were nowhere to be found here. Lance lost too easy and this didn't get a lot of time. The whole story with Strong and Cole both fighting to get a match with MJF is pretty weak.

We see MJF looking unimpressed in his house. RS says this will end at Full Gear and he will finish his @ss.

Konosuke Takeshita hits RS from behind then pounds on him. Adam Cole comes out. 

Adam Cole vs Konosuke Takeshita

Cole stomps on him in the corner and they trade forearms. Cole lariats KT over the top. Cole clubs on KT. KT hits chops and forearms in the corner. Cole kicks him in the knee then KT forearms him off a panama sunrise attempt.

We go to PiP break and return. Cole hits a death valley driver neckbreaker on the knee on KT. KT spinning blue thunders him for 2. KT hits forearms on Cole. Cole forearms him back. Cole pump kicks him and spinning enzugiri's him. KT spinning forearms him then Cole hits oblivion for 2.

KT blocks a panama sunrise and hits a tombstone german. KT wheelbarrow germans him and lariats him for 2. KT flies at him and runs into a superkick. Cole hits a panama sunrise. KT rolls out and puts the Dynamite Diamond Ring on. KT punches Cole with it and wins.

Thoughts: They did too much here with a panama sunrise and a package tombstone not being able to put either guy down. I was surprised Takeshita won here and wonder what the point is of having Strong vs MJF instead of Cole vs MJF.

We cut to MJF laughing from his house.

Roderick Strong comes down and nails KT from behind. KT kicks him in the nuts. KT goes to punch him then Kyle O'Reilly comes out to save Strong, despite Strong and his crew attacking Kyle at one point a while ago. Takeshita poses on the entrance way. Ricochet comes out and superkicks him. KT then walks off without his title. Ricochet poses with the title.

Cole and Strong offer handshakes to Kyle but Kyle walks out.

We see The Death Riders arrive in a pick-up truck.

Renee interviews The Hurt Syndicate. MVP says Lashley is one of the strongest forces in the sport. Lashley says Swerve is dangerous to everyone else. He says he will make an example of him and hurt him. MVP says Swerve will be in action and they will be watching.

Claudio and Yuta come out. They chair JD Drake for some reason. Mox and Shafir come in through the crowd. Mox says he's been thinking of Orange Cassidy the last few days. He says Chuck Taylor is drinking food through a straw because OC couldn't save him. He says OC has the chance of a lifetime when he gets a title shot at Full Gear.

He says he will make an example of OC at the PPV. He says he will stomp his face into hamburger meat and beat him so bad his mom won't recognize him. 

OC, Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero come out. OC says he agrees with Mox and believes he can do the things he says. He says it's because of what's in the briefcase - the title. He says it's the symbol of AEW.

He says you only become champ by wrestling. He says he can wrestle too and beat Mox at it. He says they will wrestle and he will beat him again, taking the power back. He said if they are playing chess, he needs to take a pawn and it's Wheeler Yuta. He says him and Yuta will wrestle and he will remove the pawn that lets him take the king. Yuta says he's no one's pawn. Mox says to abandon all hope on 11/23. 

The Death Riders go to leave. Darby Allin dives off a seating structure onto them. Shafir hits Mark with a briefcase and escorts Mox away. We see Mox and Shafir go into the pick up truck. We see Claudio leave with them. We then see Darby jump into the truck. Darby pounds on CC then is driven into a garage door. Darby then takes a giant swing into it. Wheeler Yuta then hops in the truck as OC and Mark chase him. Darby yells, "Where you going Claudio? I'm still standing".

The Learning Tree are interviewed. Bill says a person's true self is not seen in glory but in moments of hardship and challenge. Jericho says he has a hardship for Ishii. Jericho brings up their match from 2 years ago and says they should have a rematch in 2 weeks. He says he has gone onto bigger and better things. He says he will invoke the glory of past ROH champs like Jay Briscoe and teach him a wrestling lesson. Keith says Jericho will blow his dumb @ss away.

The Continental Classic 2024 begins in 2 weeks. It's fun to get some different matches but it does mess up a lot of storylines.

Britt Baker vs Penelope Ford

They say Britt has been out due to illness. Britt snapmares her and curcifixes her. Britt wristlocks her. Ford piefaces her then takes a forearm. Britt running neckbreakers Ford.

Ford goes out and back in. Britt follows then Ford goes out again. Ford pulls Britt out then forearms her. Ford does a springboard double knee drops on Britt. We go to PiP break and return. They trade forearms. Ford forward cartwheels and is sent into the buckles.

Britt hits lariats on Ford. Britt slingblades her. Ford pulls Britt down face first onto the buckles. Ford cartwheel backflip back elbows her. Ford facekicks her in the corner. Britt spinning forearms her. Ford bridges out of a lariat and doesn't hit a cutter but pretends to anyway. Ford misses a top rope moonsault.

Ford slaps her and Britt superkicks her. Britt spinning neckbreakers her and grabs her glove. Ford dropkicks her into the ropes from behind. Ford indian deathlocks her. Britt does the lockjaw off of it and submits her.

Thoughts: I liked the finish but the match wasn't anything too special otherwise. There were no real faces or heels in it and there wasn't a lot of logic to it. The crowd wasn't into it either.

Serena Deeb comes out after and has words for Britt.

Renee interviews Mina Shirakawa. She says she's excited for Mariah May's match and says they will have a champagne celebration. Harley Cameron comes in and drinks the champagne. She says Mina's the Harley Cameron of Japan and says she's the Harley Cameron of Harley Cameron. She challenges her "t!ts for t!ts" and they shake their chests. They agree to a match and Renee stops them.

Swerve Strickland vs Lio Rush

Lio pushes him and tries to run to the side ropes but Swerve catches him. Lio slides out. Swerve takes him down and both go weird cartwheels on the ropes. Lio flips off the apron and Swerve does the same. They then stare down outside. Lio eye rakes him.

Swerve sends Lio into the side of the ring. Swerve is crotched on the top rope and goes down to the floor. We go to PiP break then full break.

They fight on the apron. Swerve hits a pump kick on him on the apron. Swerve suplexes him. Swerve diving euros him in the back of the neck. Lio hits a standing spanish fly for 2. Lio comes off the commentary table but is caught. Lio poisonrana's him off the steps to the floor. Lio then topes him.

Lio hits a top rope frogsplash for 2. Lio rolls up Swerve and tries to use the ropes to pin him but is stopped. Lio backrolls Swerve and spin kicks him in the face. Swerve blocks a poisonrana and hits a half-nelson driver off of it. Swerve wins.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. It felt like they were doing a dance at times over wrestling. Swerve should not have survived the poisonrana on the floor and Swerve should have been able to handle Lio easier.

Swerve says everyone wants to come for him now that he's back to prove a point. He says Lio and Shelton failed. He says he will have to remind everyone whose house it is.

MVP and Bobby Lashley come out. MVP says if Swerve wants a fight with a member of his Syndicate, all he had to do was ask. MVP says they like Swerve a lot. They said they recruited him because he has so much unrealized potential. He says it looks like Bobby Lashley is ready to fight now and they don't have to wait 2 weeks.

MVP says there's a lesson for Swerve to learn and he says it's strength in numbers. He says Swerve hasn't learned it yet but learns it tonight. Shelton Benjamin then nails Swerve from behind. Lashley lariats Swerve on the floor and sends him into the rails. Lashley clubs on Swerve. Shelton stares down Prince Nana.

Shelton hits a ddt on Swere. MVP chokes Nana with his cane. Lashley chokeslams Swerve then full-nelson's him. Lashley throws Nana into the buckles and Nana falls out of the ring.

Jamie Hayter is interviewed by Renee. Renee asks what's next. Jamie says she will keep doing what she said she will be doing - right the wrongs. She says she's coming after one thing. The lights then go out and we cut to a Juliar Hart video. She's in her bed with a bloody shirt. Someone tells her it's time to come home on a phone and she realizes the phone is unplugged.

Julia screams in the mirror and is given a bow and arrow and a black hat.

Thoughts: I don't know what this was. Bad video editing? Maybe the interview was supposed to be cut? Who knows.

Full Gear 4-Way Contenders Series Match - FTR vs The House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King)

Private Party come out to watch this from the stage. Dax grabs a drink from their party. Brody no sells a chop then chops Dax over. Cash clubs on Brody in the corner and goes up and over him. Brody back body drops him then double chops him. Black flying headscissors and armdrags Cash.

Cash forearms him over. Black armdrags Dax. Black snapmares Dax and hits leg kicks. Black sits down to avoid a punch. Black catches Dax's kick and rolls him up. Black forearms Cash down. Black ducks a Dax lariat then runs into a Cash lariat. FTR then do Black's sit down pose.

We go to PiP break and return. Black asai moonsaults and FTR have to walk into it as Black is off. Brody comes in and chops both opponents. Brody hits corner attacks on both opponents and does a double splash on them in the corner. Brody corner cannonballs both FTR members for 2.

Brody takes a power bomb + lariat combo for 2. Cash is popped up into a knee then Brody sky highs him. Black moonsaults Cash outside. Cash trips Brody into the buckles. Brody takes a superplex but gets his knees up on the splash. Black top rope double stomps Dax and Brody gets a 2 count on him.

Brody takes a shatter machine. Black takes a spike piledriver on the apron. Brody then topes both FTR members. Brody lariats Dax for 2 then does it again for 2. Brody then sleepers Dax and puts him to sleep to win.

Thoughts: Brody took too many big bumps here and his size wasn't respected. He got powerbombed here and superplexed which should not have happened. The finish wasn't that good either. The match didn't really get a ton of time either and ran late into the overrun.  

Overall thoughts: It was a longer show with no break for the first 30 minutes and an overrun. The first hour was action packed with them going straight to one match or segment into another and keeping you tuned. That was well done by AEW. They did have some weird things here though like Jamie Hayter's promo getting cut off by a Julia Hart video, The House of Black winning in the main and Takeshita beating Cole. The women's matches did not deliver here either and Lance/Strong was disappointing. I'd still give it a 6 out of 10 though due to them keeping my interest.
