AEW Collision to begin on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 8PM

I don't know if I should make anything out of who is on the poster or not, but it doesn't seem like an accident. If they do a brand split, you don't want to be on Collision.

The show is as we expected. It's going to have a ton of competition at 8PM with Boxing, UFC, WWE PPV's and indies year round, College football in the fall and March Madness/NHL Playoffs/NBA Playoffs in the spring. It's also going to be the "B" show and will not get the ratings Dynamite gets outside of the first few episodes as we saw with Rampage. As long as WBD understands that and sets their expectations accordingly, then it's not a problem.

I do have to wonder what's going to happen on days when Rampage is pre-empted. Will the show still get moved to Saturdays for a three hour block? And what happens when Collision gets pre-empted? Does it air earlier on Saturdays or on Sundays? And what happens to Battle of the Belts? Is it dropped? Do some Collision shows become Battle of the Belts? And is that the end of Saturday AEW PPV's? There's lots of questions to be answered.

As a wrestling fan, more wrestling is good wrestling, though with Dark and Elevation now over, we aren't really getting "more".
