Thoughts on Endeavor buying WWE
Say what you will about Vince, but we knew Vince. Vince's life is
wrestling and his family's life is mostly wrestling. The business was at
least secure with the McMahon's/Triple H at the helm. We don't know
about Endeavor. They don't have the kind of connection with wrestling.
If WWE loses more popularity, has some massive scandal or loses their
cushy TV deals, and it could be the end of wrestling in the US on a
mainstream scale forever.
Vince made a mistake here. He's 77 and hasn't answered to anyone in 50
years. This man gets mad when people sneeze. He's going to get a major
reality check real soon when he has an idea and someone above him says
no. Vince is also already a billionaire I don't think the jump from $1
billion to $12 billion is really that much of a difference, especially
at his age. He has done everything he already wanted to do and he may
die tomorrow for all we know. How much does $12 billion really help him?
His family will have more money, but Vince's grandkids will never get
to see what it's like to be the head of a major and relatively secure
company again. And that's something money can't really buy.
