WWE NXT Level Up 10/28/2022

Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo vs Tank Ledger

Tank has his cowboy hat on, vest and a weird half-full legged/half-shorts outfit with caution tape on it. Stacks runs into Tank and is stopped then Tank works his arm. Stacks boots him in the corner then Tank hits a nice leapfrog and shoulders him over. Stacks slingshots in and is caught with a shoulderbreaker. Tony d yells at Tank from the commentary booth then Stacks boots Tank in the face as he tries to enter.

Stacks hits mounted punches on Tank and Stacks hits a back elbow. Tony said they are maybe looking at adding a new member but doesn't say anything else about it. Stacks stands on Tank's fingers and tries some lariats but Tanks powers up. Tank makes his comeback with nice lariats then a crossbody. Tank splashes him for 2. Stacks running euros him then running facekicks him. Stacks then drops an elbow and wins it.

Tank looked good here and is one of the better rookies they have had. His comeback was good and while it wasn't a classic, it was decent, just a little longer than it needed to be.

Trick Williams is interviewed but is talking on the phone. Trick says he will take care of Brooks Jensen for an easy night tonight without Carmelo Hayes. Trick is asked if he is worried about Briggs being out there but not Melo, but he says he has the swagger and isn't worried. He says it's the showdown vs the ho-down and the Trick vs the Hick. He and the announcer then do a line dance. As usual, Trick did a good job here.

Thea Hail vs Jakara Jackson

This is Jakara Jackson's TV debut.  Thea is hyped up like usual. Jakara has red dyed hair, yellow glasses, large implants and a black and yellow outfit.

JJ snapmares her then Thea cazadora's her into a side headlock takedown. they say they think Bodhi is in the doghouse for missing class. Thea goes for another cazadora and is thrown down then JJ picks her up by the hair and pulls her down. JJ armlocks her. Duke Hudson comes out waving the Chase U flag that Bodhi usually waves and Thea notices it. Thea picks up JJ on her shoulders and does like a reverse F-U.

Thea blocks punches and hits her own then running double axe handles her. Thea hits a corner splash then a flipping neckbreaker. Thea then hits an extremely safe snapmare driver to win, basically just banging her head on the mat.

It really wasn't anything special. Jakara didn't have any big highlights here and showed some signs of maybe not being the most coordinated. There wasn't a lot to this either.

Trick Williams vs Brooks Jensen

They lock up and Trick is pulled down, then Brooks is pulled down. They yell at each other then Brooks facebusters and armdrags him. Brooks flying headscissors him and dropkicks him. Brooks slides out for his punch but Trick traps him under the ring skirt and stomps him.

Back in and Trick hits some shots and stomps him down in the corner. Trick hits a nice flying clothesline for 2. Trick slams and elbow drops him for 2. Trick cravates him and gets something like an atomic drop. Brooks powerslams him. Brooks hits some shots and spinning heel kicks him. Brooks slides out to the side this time to do his punch and comes off the top but flies into a fist. Trick hits a Mcgillicutter for 2. Brooks rolls him up then hits a fameasser to win it.

I was really surprised they had Brooks kick out of the Mcgillicutter. The match wasn't bad for what it was. Trick looked okay here and Brooks did an okay job. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing particularly memorable.

Overall thoughts: This was nothing must see with 3 average matches.
