Big Japan Pro Wrestling 7/10/2022 The Nightmare Was A Dream Come True ~ The Big "B" Flame Is So Beautiful

This is a very unique show. They are outside at a plant of some sort. It's super hot out and the mat/ground outside is extremely hot because of it, which ends up playing a role in the matches.

I saw 6 of the 7 matches.

Street Fight Death Match - Daiju Wakamatsu & Yuki Ishikawa vs Abdullah Kobayashi & Jaki Numazawa

They duel with chairs to start then Daiju and Yuki dropkick their opponents. Abby gets put into the post and Jaki spits water from a cooler at Daiju. Daiju then has his head rammed into the post. Abby sticks a rail post into Daiju's butt then Daiju stticks the rail post into Abby's crotch. Yuki gets crotched on a rail then Abby and Daiju trade headbutts. Jaki headbutts Daiju then bulldogs him. Abby then basement dropkicks him. Daiju flying forearms Jaki and kips up then misses a flipping senton.

Abby and Daiju do headbutts in the crowd and Daiju hits Jaki with a chair's edge. Abby and Yuki trade shots then Abby misses an elbow drop. Yuki flying elbows Abby then Abby is double suplexed. Abby then double back elbows both opponents. Jaki schewin's Yuki onto chairs then Yuki top rope dropkicks Jaki. Abby clotheslines Daiju then Yuki hits a blue thunder on Jaki onto chairs for 2. Yuki then slams Jaki. He stacks a pile of chairs onto him then double stomps them into him off the top for the win.

This was long and not too interesting.

Daichi Hashimoto & Takuya Nomura vs Kazumi Kikuta & Yasufumi Nakanoue

Hash grabs a hold of Naka's arm early and Naka says the mat is hot. Hash headlock takeovers him and Naka asks to tag out. Nomura and Kikuta go at it. Nomura fireman's carry takedowns him then yells "atsui" when his back is on the mat. He flips out of a bridge to escape it. Nomura back kicks Naka. Naka bridges Nomura then Nomura hits chest kicks on him. Nomura kick flurries him until he tires out then Naka vader bombs him for 2. Nomura hits a nice dropkick.

Hash gets in and step up knees Nakanoue in the corner then kick flurries him there. Nomura then kick flurries him then Naka double lariats both opponents. Kikuta gets in and Hash jumps out of the pin due to the mat heat. Kikuta then dropkicks Hash in the corner. Hash takes a kick then a chest forearm for 2.

Kikuta misses a high kick and takes a uranage then a falcon arrow for it. Hash then shining wizards him and wins it at 9:55.

It went al ittle too long and they were limited with what they could do due to the hot mat temperature.

Hash lays on Kikuta after to make him feel the mat more and makes people dogpile on him.

Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazuki Hashimoto vs Hikaru Sato & Kota Sekifuda

Kaz and Kota start us off by trading headscissors and standing off. Sato stands on the bottom rope because he is barefoot and the mat is hot. Sato leg trips him and they get in the north-south position. Sek shoulders him over then Kota hits some shots on him. They shoulder battle and Kota hits a nice dropkick on him. Kota ducks his chops then is back body dropped. Sek is pulled over the top rope and everyone fights outside.

Sek and Kota fight near rails outside. Sato is still having trouble outside as the mats are too hot for his barefeet and has to ride Kota's back to get in. Sek and Sato trade forearms then Sato trades kicks for Sek's chops. Sek deadlift powerbombs Sato out of the triangle and Kaz hits facewash kicks and a PK on Sato. The two slap each other then Kota top rope dropkicks Kaz. Kota then cutters him for 2.

Kota slingshot double stomps Kaz then Sato death valley drivers Sato on Kaz. Kota hits a backdrop into a backbreaker on Kaz then does a seated cobra clutch on Kaz. Kaz tries to reverse it into a pin then headbutts him and rolls him up to win it at 10:56.

This was decent though they did goof around a little too much with Sato's feet being too hot.

Bloody Musou Tournament First Round Perfect Fall Death Match - Masaya Takahashi vs Yuichi Taniguchi

We have barbed wire boards, chairs, an actual mat for the ring and a barbed wire kendo stick here.

Yu tries to put Masa into the barbed wire board to start then Yu is thrown into it. Masa then stands on the board while it is on Yu's back. Yu bites the foot then slams him onto a barbed wire board. Yu then hits him with the barbed wire kendo stick. Masa then slams him on the board for 2.

Yu whips him with the barbed wire then hits him with the barbed wire stick, which flies into a fan. Masa goes into the post then is whipped into the truck. Yu starts up the truck and they fight inside of it, beeping the horn. The truck is opened up and they go inside the back of it. Yu is banged against the wall of it then irish whipped in and choked.

Yu is all busted open and thrown into the post. Masa flipping sentons onto a board on Yu and Yu eye pokes him. Yu rakes his armpit along the top rope, then walks the top rope. Masa throws him down onto the barbed wire off of it for 2. Masa then camel clutches him with the kendo stick at wins it at 9:12.

This was a hardcore brawl and was mostly okay with some fun with the truck.

Bloody Musou Tournament Second Round Concrete Steel & Fire Death Match - Hideyoshi Kamitani vs Kankuro Hoshino

Hoshino rode a forklift in for this one and the lift was parked above the top rope, so expect some fun. They have no mats here and boards in the corner.

They hiptoss each other on the mats here then they duel with a ladder and steps. Kami throws the ladder at him after hitting him in the foot with it. Hoshino 2nd rope dropkicks him but lands on the wooden mat and hurts himself. Hoshino lights a board on fire then is promptly speared into it as he turns around. Hoshino hits him with a broom outside then lights the broom fire. He swings at him with it then Kami hits him in the back with it. Kami then gets rammed into the post.

Hoshino is back body dropped onto the ground outside then Kami hits him with a board. Kami then elbow drops the board on him. They trade chest chops and Kami hits him with a cement block. Kami sets up the cement blocks and puts a piece of wood with fire on it on top. Kami then takes an STO through it and seems to hit his head hard. Hoshino slams him and elbow drops him. Kami then sentons him for 2. Hoshino then is back body dropped onto the wooden mat.

Hoshino samoan drops him and they go up top where Kami superplexes him onto the wooden mat. Kami lights a barbed wire stick on fire and tries to split flames with it but the wind is too much and it just blows back at him. Kami then uranage's him. Kami goes for the forklift and is powerbombed down. Kami gets kicked off the top rope then Hoshino misses a senton from the forklift. Kami then brainbusters him for 2.

Hoshino rolls him up for 2, then is lariated and shouldered over. Kami backdrops him onto a chair and wins it at 14:24.

I appreciate the effort here and they did do cool stuff and try to go all out for the fans. It was entertaining for the big sports sure, but the match structure wasn't good, the selling wasn't good and it was just not a smart match by any means. I still enjoyed to see some different weapons than usual, but it was a stunt show.

Exclusive Defense-Oriented Pissari Army Formation Memorial 4 to 4 Wilderness 8 Tag Match

No idea what's going on here. We have two Leatherfaces, the Brahman Brothers and Kazumasa Yoshida vs Yuji Okabayashi, who is wearing a hard helmet and jacket.

Yuji gets beat up by all 4 and tries to fight back. He grabs the mic and says something then Abdullah Kobayashi comes out dressed as Stan Hansen. He hits a bunch of people not even in the match then hits the heels. Sekimoto then comes out with a bowtiew, sunglasses and suspenders. The heels try to beat on him but he just poses. Leatherface is then bent over with a double armbar and Sek gets on his back and poses.

Oka gets hit with a nail brush while his helmet is on then Yoshida accidentally throws a suitcase at a Brahman. Yoshida puts a baseball bat in Oka's butt and Oka is dragged somewhere. Kato fires up, runs the ropes then runs out to a bus. Abby has a suitcase thrown at his butt. Sek gets a bowling ball to the gut as the crowd chants "bowlingu" then the ball is rolled into Sek's crotch with a suitcase there. Hoshino comes out with a broom on fire then music plays and Okabayashi comes out dressed like a viking.

Oka hipstosses everyone including his own partners and ringboys. Buckets are brought into the ring and a Brahman bro gets splashed with it then Oka gets splashed with them. Sek has water thrown at him and then the crowd gets it thrown on them. Sek has more water thrown on him then a bunch of fans get it as well. Oka then comes out with a high pressure hose and sprays down a Brahman and a Leatherface. More water gets tossed around into the crowd and Oka accidentally body blocks his partners. Oka has powder thrown in his face and kicks out of a 3 person pin.

Oka gets hit in the crotch by multiple people but power thrusts them off. Yoshida then sticks the bat in his butt and stops him. Yoshida says something on the mic then everyone attacks him and does running moves. Oka racks Yoshida and everyone throws water at him while he does it. He then submits Yoshida at 23:03 as more water flies.

Look, it wasn't supposed to be realistic, serious or some classic. It was goofy fun and I actually did kind of like it. The crowd reacted a lot and seemed to be enjoying it.

Overall thoughts: It's a unique and fun show. The hardcore main event wasn't the smartest, but it was a sight to see and the extra comedy at the match was kind of fun. The hot mat playing a role throughout the show also made things interesting.
