Rush vs Jon Moxley

Rush jumps him as he enters and beats him up outside. Rush dropkicks him in the back inside the ring then he takes him outside to bang his head off a chair. Mo's head hen bleeds and he licks the blood. Mox topes him outside after being thrown in then suplexes him on the floor. Mox hits headbutts outside and bangs his head off the steps. 

They go in and footchoke each other. They go back out again and Mox is choked with a cable on the floor. We go to PiP break and return to Mox superplexing him. the two trade chops then Mox is german'd. He no sells it, germans him then Rush no sells it and takes a big lariat. Mox reverse curb stomps him then is belly to belly suplexed into the buckles.

Mox goes up top, pushes Rush off then Andrade El Idolo comes down and crotches Mox. Death Triangle chases Andrade into the stands and Rush hits a big punch on Mox. Mox then hits a lariat and Rush hits a bad jumping knee. Rush straight jacket piledrivers Mox and facewashes him. Mox hits a paradigm shift ddt for 2 and chokes him. Mox then moves over to the bulldog choke and wins it.

It went on too long for me which is always bad when it's the opener, they didn't sell much and they did too much.

The JAS comes out and Parker says to "appreciate us". Jericho says Mox is on a roll, but nothing compared to the roll they are on. Jericho talked about how all of his crew would win tonight. Anna Jay says she is Anna Jay-A-S. She says she is the sexiest and toughest and is not afraid to prove it.

Jericho says he is demanding a rematch with Mox for the AEW Title after 2 years. He says he will beat Mox and become the 2 time AEW champ. Mox says he is sick of his sports entertainment crap. He says Jericho may be the goat but says he is pathetic. He says this isn't the sports entertainment championship of the galaxy and tells him to leave the JAs, who carries his bags at home. Mox says he doesn't want the wizard or whatever his nickname is this week  and says he wants the Jericho from Super J Cup. He says he wants the lionheart. He says he wants Mox vs "The Last Survivor of the Hart Dungeon" Lionheart Chris Jericho.

They announced the AEW Trios Titles will be competed for in a tournament with the finals on AEW All Out.

Date Martin is interviewed. He says Sammy can't hack it anymore and has been on vacations too much. Dante said he will have Skye Blue in his corner to counter Tay Conti.

FTW Title - Ricky Starks (c) vs Danhausen

Starks kicks him down early and spears him to win very quickly.

Starks issues an open challenge after then Hook comes out. Why it would be Hook when he is one of his teammates doesn't make much sense. Hook hits a bunch of body shots early and headbutts him. Hook then side suplexes him. Starks backdrops him then Hook flips out of a hiptoss. Starks then spears him and Hook reverses him on a roshambo and taps him out with the tazzmission.

Wasn't a fan of this as Hook went against his own partner and this had no build to it.

Tony Schiavone interviews Starks with Hobbs after. Starks said he just lost and is no stranger to losing. He said he turned the title from a noose into a tie and brought it back to prominence. Starks then gets mad and says his time is right now. He says he hasn't had a string of bad luck, but a string of bad timing. Hobbs then clocks him from the side and drops him. Hobbs then spinebusters him.

The Acclaimed do a promo. They said they roasted the Gunns in a rap battle. They said they will roast them again and said they have to watch their music video to find out what kind of match they are having. They said they would hit them with trash cans and said Friday is trash day.

Sammy Guevara vs Dante Martin

Skye Blue is with Dante Martin. Sammy flips over him and hits a dropkick. Sammy then poses. Dante then dropkicks Sammy and mocks him. Dante is thrown out. Sammy goes out too and Dante teases a dive but flips back in. Sammy goes up the ramp and is hit from behind. Dante then flip drives off the ramp onto him. Dante is then thrown int othe post.

Sammy is backdropped over the top and Dante tries to springboard out but is caught with a knee. Dante jumps up top and Sammy flips him but Dante langs on his feet. Dante then standing spanish fly's him. Dante does a flip off the top then Sammy does a double jump cutter. He then hits a GTH and wins it.

This was a total spotfest here with the focus being cool spots first and everything else second.

Tay and Sammy stomp on Dante after. Skye intervenes then Anna Jay comes down and helps out Tay. Skye gets beat up 2v1. Ruby Soho and Ortiz then make the save.

Daniel Garcia is interviewed. He said he has been getting sharp and better and asks if Bryan Danielson has. He says if Danielson hesitates, he will send him on vacation again and says he will be called the "greatest technial sports entertainer" in a goofy line.

Dutt, Lethal and Singh are interviewed. Lethal says he was beaten with an illegal choke by Joe at the ROH PPV. They then brought up Best Friends and said they are the real best friends. Best Friends then walk in. Dutt accepts a trios match with them even though he's said in interviews that he is retired. Dutt then asks why they didn't stop him. 

Jungle Boy is interviewed with Luchasaurus. He says Christian is the biggest pu$$y he has ever met. He says he made Christian the most relevant he has ever been and JB says he doesn't get why he's so angry. He brought up Christian saying it was due to him throwing him out of a battle royale. He said it shouldn't have been too big of a deal that he lost out on the money from it. He then says he knows Christian was strapped for cash because his wife just divorced him prior to that. JB says Christian needed someone to protect him, so he got a monster. He said the monster is his best friend and said nobody will get their hands on JB before he does. JB tells him to talk sh!t because he can take it. He tells him to swing a chair at him as hard as he can because he can take it. He talks about digging his father's grave then Christian interrupts.

Christian says Lucha's future was gold and main events when he managed him and he threw it all away to be JB's lapdog. Christian said JB ain't seen nothing yet after he conchairto'd him. He said he put the leather jacket on JB's back and said next he will put a bodybag on him. Christian says JB has the monster, but he has the advantage as he told him all of his secrets. Christian said he will prey on his weakness.

I thought this was a good segment with JB cutting one of the better promos he has ever cut when he needed to.

The Bucks are interviewed by Brandon Cutler and told about the Trios Tournament. Brandon wants to be their partner for it, then they run into Adam Page. They say happy birthday to Adam Page then the Dark Order does too. The Bucks then walk away and Brandon says it was awkward. The Bucks tell him to shut up.

Keith Lee is banned from ringside, Handicap Match - Swerve Strickland vs Tony Nese and Mark Sterling

Swerve goes after Mark and misses then he and Nese go at it. Swerve backbreakers him and lariats him. Swerve pulls down his arm over the top rope. Swerve is distracted by Mark then Tony pulls Swerve down against the apron. The heels take control. SWerve sunset flips him then Nese spin kicks him in the head for 2. Nese lariats Swerve and bodyscissors him.

Swerve kicks Nese into Mark and Mark tags himself in on accident. Swerve punches Nse The swerve 2nd rope euro uppercuts the back of his neck. Swerve superkicks him near the ropes and hten double stomps him as he hangs from the bottom rope. Swerve kicks Mark in the head and wins it.

This wasn't too interesting as expected.

We then cut to the back and Keith Lee has been taken out by Josh Woods, who hasn't been on AEW TV yet. Swerve then gets hit from behind by Nese.

The House of Black does a video. they says the world is a hoax and people wroship those who add nothing of value. Black says he will make it so Miro is not worshipping the throne, but is on it. King talks about attacking him in public and says it won't stop until his casket drops. He then challenges him to a coffin match and asks what flowers he wants ons his headstone.

We see clips of a Pac All-Atlantic Title defense and clips of Rosa vs Miyu from 7/9.

AEW Women's title - Thunder Rosa (c) vs Miyu Yamashita

They trade wristlocks early and Rosa side headlock takedowns her. Miyu armdrags her and they leg sweep each other. They mess up a stunner over the top then do a poor spot where Miyu is supposed to run into knees. Miyu slips from the apron and legsweeps her on the apron. Rosa shotgun dropkicks her on the floor.

Rosa hits some chops then Miyu is whipped into the apron and jumps off it with a kick. Miyu blows a kick then side throws her. Miyu does a bad rib breaker. Rosa clotheslines her through the ropes and pendulum knees her. Rosa dropkicks her against the bottom ropes. Rosa goes up top and Miyu kicks her while she's up there. They trade forearms and Miyu high kicks her. Miyu takes a stiff forward kick and wheelbarrow germans her.

Rosa ducks a spin kick then Miyu triangle enzugiri's her in the corner. Miyu then spinning high kicks her for 2. Miyu buzzsaw kicks her and and back spin kicks her. Rosa hits a bad high kick and drivers her for the win.

This was awful if you saw the full uncut match. It was total slop with Miyu looking awful. Thunder Rosa's reign needs to end. This girl has everyone's worst matches. Miyu losing in her TV debut sucked and Miyu debuting here on TV without any real build or introduction sucked too.

 

Bryan Danielson vs Daniel Garcia

Danielson flurries on him early then topes him outside. Danielson pounds on him with forearms inside then Garcia neckbreakers him. Danielson is thrown into the rails outside and Garcia pulls off the mats outside. Danielson forearms him then hits kicks as he is seated on a chair. Daielson then dropkicks against the rail then top rope dropkicks him.  

Garcia hits chops and Danielson kind of crawls out. Danielon is then thrown into the steps. and is ddt'd on the concrete floor.  We go to a long PiP break and return with Danielson bleeding. Garcia stomps on him and pulls on the cut. Garcia then bites the cut as Danielson sits up top then Danielson hits him in the back as he is up top. Danielson top rope backdrops him hard. Garcia hits chops then Danielson comes back at him with chops and kicks. Danielson buzzsaw kicks him. Garcia twists him from the mat into a choke and Danielson turns it into a cattle mutilation then a tiger suplex. Garcia does his elbow flurry to him then Danielson does it to him.

Danielson does a leg clutck backdrop on him. Garcia goes for a sharpshooter and is rolled up then slaps him. Danielson slaps him back and they trade a facekick for a spinning forearm. Danielson then does a flying knee and knees him off the apron. Danielson goes in and someone grabs his leg under the apron then Garcia sharpshooters him. Danielson passes out due to the pain and Garcia wins in a stupid finish.

Garcia shouldn't be beating Danielson, especially in a match with no real build to it. He hasn't been promoted well and he is just not the Chris Benoit that this company thinks he is. He's too small, he has no personality and it's just not going to happen.

Overall thoughts: I wasn't a fan of this show. The main was decent but the result was all wrong, Rosa/Miyu was a disaster and they did too much with Sammy/Dante and Rush/Mox. I didn't like the way Starks lost his title and I didn't like Hook going after his own teammate.
