WWE NXT UK 3/24/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/03/wwe-nxt-uk-3172022.html

Die Familie (Rohan Raja and Charlie Dempsey) vs Saxon Huxley and A-Kid

Kid hits a nice dropkick early on CD then Sax gets in. Sax slams him then gives RR one too. Sax misses an elbow on RR but hits one on CD. RR distracts Kid while he goes up top and Kid takes a butterfly suplex from CD. CD does a unique version of the dragon screw where he kind of bridges back to twist it. Kid drops A-Kid with a forearm. RR spears Kid in the gut then CD hits a big knee to Kid's gut. CD does a nice fisherman's suplex on Kid.

CD whips Kid into RR then RR hits a big forearm. Kid flips out of the way then Sax comes in and hits a bunch of shoulders on everyone. Sax hits a big face kick on CD then Thesz presses him for 2. Sax hits a top rope shoulder on CD and RR interrupts the count, getting Sax mad. A-Kid runs up the ropes with RR's arm then headscissors CD while he armdrags RR.

Teoman knocked A-Kid off the top when he was trying a double team then RR hit a jumping flatliner for the win.

This was alright. Not particularly great but nothing wrong with it either. Charlie Dempsey looked really good here and seriously is looking like the technical mat wizard.

Meiko is warming up in the back.

We see clips of Wild Boar beating up Symbiosis two weeks ago. They announced Wild Boar vs T-Bone next.

Amale is interviewed then Xia Brookside interrupts. Xia wants a rematch with her and Amale says she will see what she can do. Xia is then asked a question by the camera man but she said no. Xia then called her dad on the phone and seemed pleased.

Wild Boar vs T-Bone

Boar comes in from behind and beats up both Symbiosis members and runs them off.  T misses a shot then gets pounded on but comes back with a nice punch. Boar then sentons his back. T goes outside and Boar stares down Primate then gets jumped from behind and thrown into the rail. T then slams Boar into the buckles and Eddie Dennis assists with an attack on the knee.

T hits a suplex on Boar for 2 then hits a nice fallaway slam then Boar comes back with a nice german and an exploder. Boar clears off primate then jumps on T and hooks his legs then snap ddt's him down. Boar then chases Eddie Dennis out.

This was a good one. It wasn't too long but they played off Boar wanting to get his hands on his former partners well and Boare was real fiery here.

Ilja Dragunov does a promo on Roderick Strong. He says he needed to be strong since his first day in NXT UK. He said diamonds are made under pressure and there is no one who can put him under pressure like Strong. He says he is a diamond that doesn't crack under pressure though.

We see Kenny Williams in a hurry. He said he is trying to get to his car and he finds his car all destroyed. He finds his car keys and they are on his hubcap. The interviewer asks if this has anything to do with Sam Gradwell's note, and he tells her to get out of his face.

Ilja Dragunov vs Roderick Strong for the NXT UK Title is in 2 weeks.

Jordan Devlin vs Danny Jones

Devlin hits some shots early and gets a chop back. Danny gets more chops in and hits some nice corner kicks. Danny runs the ropes and runs into a knee to the gut. Danny comes back with some nice forearms. Jordan hits some forearms and Danny powers up gets some shots in, then does an enzugiri. Danny hits a nice exploder for 2 then Danny hits a beautiful over the back throw with the neck then Jordan comes back with a slingshot cutter. Devlin then hits a nice brainbuster for the win. Devlin rips the roster after and says he is the one and only ace.

This was good. Danny finally got to show off a little here and get some stuff in and Devlin did a good job coming back. This was a nice fiery match and I'm hoping this means Danny finally gets to start being treated as a non-jobber soon.

We see some clips of Carter/Smith and Mustache Mountain talking trash between clips. Trent Seven said he needs to find some inner zen and we see him doing yoga with Bate. Smith says there is no way he loses to Trent in their singles match as it means a lot to him.

Mark Coffey and Noam Dar do promos against each other. MC says Dar is overconfident and Dar talks about how he beat his partners up. Mark said he learned from everyone's mistakes then Dar called him just a driver. Mark said he will run him over and said he won't let the heritage cup slip away since he never has singles matches. Dar and Coffey meet up for the Heritage Cup next wee kalong with Xia Brookside vs Amale and Trent Seven vs Ashton Smith.

WWE NXT UK Women's Title - Meiko Satomura (c) vs Isla Dawn

It seem like Isla will win here since Meiko was likely supposed to lose to Blair Davenport.

Isla face shoves her to start then gets some forearms and kicks back. Meiko blocks her kicks then hits a second try buzzsaw kick. Isla drags out Meiko and hits a jumping knee on the rails. Isla hits a nice pumping knee then meteora'd her for 2. Isla hits a stiff pump kick then Meiko comes back with a spinning heel kick. Meiko goes up top for a frog splash but Isla gets her knees up then dropkicks her. Isla then hits a fisherman's suplex for 2.

Meiko hits a pele kick on her then death valley drivers her for 2. Meiko then ddt's her and gets a buzzsaw kick. Meiko then hits a roll-up combo out of nowhere to win it. Isla stole the title after and took it with her.

This was Isla's best match that I've seen her in. She looked good with her various kicks here and Meiko was good. The finish was quick and kind of random though and I wouldn't call it a classic.

Overall thoughts: As usual, it was a solid hour of NXT UK. I liked the Devlin/Jones match and the Boar/T-Bone match.
