AAA Lucha Libre 2/19/2022 - Rey de Reyes 2022

AAA Lucha Libre 2/19/2022 - Rey de Reyes 2022

I skipped the mixed tag and the women's match.

Pagano comes in and fights the Vipers, then takes a 6v1. They pose over him and kick him out of the ring.

Six Man Tag Team Trios Match: Mysteziz Jr., Mr. Iguana, & Niño Hamburguesa vs. Los Vipers (Abismo Negro Jr., Látigo, & Psicosis)

Iguana puts his toy iguana on Latigo and Latigo bumps for it. Then Latigo flip bumps when it is thrown at him. Iguana armdrags Latigo then Iguana does a long rotational headscissors on ANJ. Latigo hits Nino in the gut with a bat then Psicosis nails Iguana in the gut with it. Nino took a big double back body drop then Mysteziz got a bat shot.

Latigo gets slapped with the toy then the techs battering ram Iguana into all 3 rudos. Nino then cannonballs the rudos in the corner. Nino topes his opponents and Mysteziz does a great ssp to the outside.

Nino butt drops ANJ then is helped up for a headscissors on Psicosis. He then bodyblocks ANJ and does a 2nd rope legdrop for 2. Latigo pours thumbtacks in the ring then Nino is slammed on them. Iguana is held up then dropkicked off the top onto them. Mysteziz comes in and hits a springboard hurricanrana then a bad swinging side slam on Latigo. Myst then does a satellite headscissors and moonsaults the rudos off the top. Psicosis then leg drops Myst off the top through a table and the rudos pin Myst after.

There was a lot of flying in this and while it didn't have a lot of story, there were a bunch of dives and action. I didn't like Iguana using his toy on people as it looked silly and the lack of any rules in AAA destroys any logic.

Three Way Trios Match: La Empresa (Puma King, Sam Adonis, & DMT Azul) vs. La Familia Real (L.A. Park, El Hijo de L.A. Park, & L.A. Park Jr.) vs. Nueva Generación Dinamita (El Cuatrero, Sansón, & Forastero)

Everyone beats on Los Parks to start then NGD and Empresa pose together and do it more. NGD holds up a Park powerbomb style then one of them double stomps him off the top. One of the parks takes a powerbomb variation and a 450. Empresa and NGD finally start to have issues and argue then the girl with Empresa stinkfaces everyone.

The parks get some offense in with a tope and top rope moonsault. A dinamita and a park trade forearms then kicks. One of the park kids top rope crossbodies a dinamita then does a bad hurricanrana to the outside on another. One of the park takes on Empresa 2v1 and hurricanrana's the other out.

Park Sr. had a dinamita pinned, but his partners pull him out. Microman is with Empresa and gets chased around the ring. Villano III Jr. and his female tag partner come in and start hitting Empresa with weapons. The ref gets thrown out and the Parks are given the win it seems over it by DQ.

This was a total mess, didn't make much sense and wasn't very good.

Psycho Clown vs. Cibernético vs. Laredo Kid vs. Bandido vs. TBA

Wrestlers are entering one at a time here Royal Rumble style every minute. Bandido and Laredo were first, then Clown came out. Clown uranage'd Kid onto Bandido then top rope splashed both.  Cibernetico then came in and chokeslammed kid. Heavy Metal was the surprise entrant here.

He cleaned house as you would expect and started whipping people then Clown did the same. Kid and Bandido traded forearms and Kid missed a skytwister press. Kid stood on the ropes and Bandido hit a crucifix bomb on him for 2.

Bandido gorilla press slammed Clown then Clown hit him wit ha top rope spanish fly. Metal hit a hurricanrana on Cyber and missed a senton on Kid. Kid then corkscrew moonsaulted him. Kid was popped up by Bandido into a wild tornado ddt then he did a moonsault onto Bandido from the top to the floor.

Clown did a tornillo to Kid and Bandido then Metal dove on them from the top. Ciber speared Clown for 2 then Pagano came in and chaired him. Clown then hit la magistral on Ciber to win it.

This was a total spot fest with a bunch of dives. There was very little logic or wrestling and they had too many people with not enough time.

Penta El Cero Miedo vs Dralistico

They did a lucha seuqence to start and Dralistico headscissored him to the floor. Penta came back though with a sling blade. Dralistico then top rope hurricanrana'd him and moonsaulted him to the floor. Dralistico tried to headstand on the apron outside but just fell. He was then thrown into the crowd. Dralistico then headscissored him off the rails and flip tope'd him.

He then did a springboard senton atomico for 2. Dralistico did a handspring into the ropes and was dropkicked. Penta was on the 2nd rope and Dralistico hurricanrana'd him. Penta put him on his shoulders and dropped his back on his knees. Penta hit a last of the dragon for 2. He superkicked him and Dral came back with a springboard canadian destroyer. Dral was hung up in the corner and Penta missed a footstomp on him.

Dral then headscissored him and missed an asai moonsault. Penta then hit a nasty looking package piledriver and someone interferedd. Penta had his mask ripped then got a fast count win. Penta then had his mask ripped off after.

This was really indy stuff with big moves and tons of flips for no reason.

AAA Mega Championship Match: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. John Superstar

John is John Morrison. They traded kicks and John went out early. Johnny hit a stiff clothesline and catapulted his neck into the middle rope. Johnny hit some forearms and a spin kick. Vikingo then tornado kicked him and top rope dropkicked him for 2. Johnny did a very neat samoan drop where he flipped backwards then standing moonsaulted him for 2. Vikingo hit a nice dropkick then a wild flipping tornillo.

Viking went for a springboard move outside and was kicked and went to the floor. Johnny hit a weird spinning razors edge into a slam for 2. He tried to steal a camera from the camera man but he wouldn't let him. He then grabbed a light and Laredo Kid came to stop him. Vikingo dropkicked the light then hit a huge 630 for 2.

They went up top and Johnny backflipped out of a backdrop to crotch himself on the top. Vikingo then walked the ropes and top rope reverse hurricanrana'd him. Vikingo then hit an inverted 450 for the win.

This was all spots and cool moves. They had a goofy run in and the light spot was botched. This was not very good and was very indy stuff.

Overall thoughts: A really bad show. There was interference and weapons usage in almost every match, they did very little but flip around and there was very little actual wrestling. This was as indy as it could possibly get and a total trainwreck from start to finish.
