Stu gets beat up in the corner by Scott and Jake and comes back with a uranage on Jake. Uno hits an end of days on Hopkins then holds him up so Stu can springboard elbow him. Reynolds then wins it kind of out of nowhere with the small package driver. It seems like something was messed up here as Stu was waiting to come off the top. This was a waste of time.
Ryan Nemeth and Cezar Bononi do a promo. Ryan says he needs two wing men and grabs JD Scott and Bononi as his wing men. JD says he make speak slow but isn't an idiot and Ryan says he should dye his hair and shave his beard. JD asks what is sexier than a blue-collar hard working man?
Team Taz (Bryan Cage, Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs) with Hook vs Brick Aldridge, Justin Law and Hayden Backlund
Hobbs pounds on Brick then spinebusters him. Backlund hits some awful punches on Stark and is backdropped over the top rope and elbows his parter on the landing. Backlund top rope crossbodies Stark but is caught and hit with a vicious roshambo. Backlund is not moving at all and Starks tags in Cage. Cage then hits the drill claw for the win. This was another waste of time squash.
Fuego del Sol vs Ryan Nemeth with JD Drake
Griff and Stunt come out with Sol but leave. Please keep Griff Garrison away from this dude. Griff actually has a future.
Ryan hits a nice fireman's carry to start. Sol comes back with some armdrags and a tilt-a-whirl armdrag. Sol hits a headscissors from behind in the corner and puts Ryan in the rocking horse. Sol failed on his tornado ddt attempt as usual and was thrown outside. Ryan does his headstand hammerlock on Sol.
Ryan struts and corner spears Sol then backdrops him. Sol hits an enzugiri on Ryan and reverse ddt's him on his knee. Sol springboards but is caught with a dropkick then takes a neckbreaker for the Nemeth win. It went a little longer than it needed to but was okay.
Jon Cruz vs The Butcher with The Blade, the Bunny and Prvate Party
Taz says the Sea Stars should come out in a boat. Exo could probably pass as Madi Wrenkowski's sister.
Exo turns a hiptoss into a backslide early on Vert. Exo is seated on the middle buckle and stomped down. Exo gets pounded on in the corner then Jaz hits a weird swinging side slam on her. Vert hits a michinoku driver on Exo for 2. Exo neckbreakers Vert and tags out.
Vox gets in and headscissors Vert then ripcord clotheslines Vert. Vox comes off the top onto Exo's shoulders and flips onto Vert for the suprise win. I did not expect them to get the win here at all. Exo was better here than her awful match last week but it still wasn't totally clean.
Red Velvet and Kilynn King with Big Swole vs Madi Wrenkowski and Vipress
The announcers call this a high fashion affair. King shoulders down Madi early and does a nice whipping armdrag. King and Red whip Vipress back and forth into the buckles then Red leg lariats Vipress. Red springboards off the bottom rope onto Vipress then standing moonsaults her.
Madi bangs Red's head off the mat and Madi hits a high jumping legdrop. Vipress puts Red in a ddt position and flips forward, basically northern lights suplexing herself in a dumb spot. Madi takes a high kick from King and then takes a hard release german.
King does a hard John Woo into Vipress in the corner and Red botches something on Vipress. Red hits the iconoslam on Vipress but Madi breaks it up. King forearms Madi hard out. Red then spin kicks a downed Vipress in the arm for the win. This really wasn't too bad at all with Madi showing some personality.
JD Drake with Ryan Nemeth vs Baron Black
Baron is 0-28 going into this through singles and tags. JD is 1-4.
Black abdominal stretches JD to start then is hiptossed over the top to the floor. JD bounces Black into the bottom rope then clubs him from the outside. JD pounds on Black in the corner.
JD belly to belly's Black then vader bomb's him for 2. Black atomic drops and germans JD, then hits his spinning clothesline. Black then hits an exploder for 2. They trade chops and JD combos him with a high kick at the end. Black misses a lariat and takes a flying boot for the JD win. JD's chest got busted open here. This was actually a decent little back and forth match. They both struck each other hard, it was competitive and Black got a decent chunk of offense in.
I will not be reviewing the Sonny Kiss match.
Mike Magnum vs Matt Sydal
Mike tries to hit Matt with his paintbrush and is kicked down. Matt high kicks him and hits a lightning spiral for a super quick win.
Vary Morales vs Matt Hardy with The Butcher, The Blade, The Bunny and Private Party
Darby Allin is shown watching from the rafters. Matt gets the edge early and hits a nice punch. Matt then flying lariats him. Vary comes back with a dropkic kand multiple shots in the corner. Matt ducks a flying move then hits the side effect for 2. Matt then wins it with his double underhook clutch hold. Another very short waste of time.
Matt grabs the mic after. He says Darby is the sellout, not him and he said he will show how extreme he still is. He said he will take his TNT title.
The Hybrid2 vs Bear Country
We have a little over 8 minutes left for this. Bronson shoulders Angelico hard early and Angelico tags out. Evans says he wants Boulder, and Boulder agrees but doesn't understand. Boulder then throws Jack out of the ring from the tie-up. Boulder tries it again and Jack cartwheels out of it. Boulder then face kicks him which Jack flips for.
Boulder splashes Jack in the corner and Bronson gets in. Jack is double gorilla presses and dropped straight down. Angelico goes for a satelittle headscissors but Boulder slams him down.
Jack springboard spinkicks Bronson then goes for a cartwheel elbow but is caught and explodered. TH2 regains control and Angelico ankle picks Bronson. Boulder gets tagged in and clotheslines both opponents. He then slams them both and splashes them in the corner. He puts both on his shoulders and fallaway slams them. Bronson then gets on Boulder's shoulders and splashes Angelico for the win.
I liked this one actually. Both teams did exactly what they should have done and this made sense.
Overall thoughts: Half the matches were wastes of time and the other half had time and ended up being decent. And the show was only about 75 minutes so it was by far the best episode I have seen of Dark yet.
