Big Japan Pro Wrestling 2/19/2021
It took like 3 weeks to get this one online.
I'm doing 4 of the 6 matches here. The first two matches are very short and are unlikely to be anything noteworthy.
Daisuke Sekimoto, Kazumi Kikuta & Ryota Hama vs. Daichi Hashimoto, Yuji Okabayashi & Yuya Aoki
Oka and Hama shoulder battle to start but Oka loses. Hash does a nice knee and kick combo to take down Sekimoto. Kikuta hits a very hard kick to Yuya's back and Yuya asks for more. Hama stinkfaces Yuya in the corner then stands on his back. Sekimoto puts Yuya in the camel clutch, but Yuya bites his way out of it. Kikuta does some palm strikes to Yuya's chest, but Yuya's chest over powers the strikes. He teases tagging out but nails his opponents on the apron instead.
Kikuta gets beat up on for a bit by the other team and Sekimoto lariats out of a 2v1 attempt from Hash and Yuya. Yuya takes a big Hama elbow drop then a top rope Kikuta double stomp for 2. Kikuta then wins it with an anaconda vice out of nowhere.
I'm not 100% sure what story they were telling with Yuya Aoki here, but it's clear there was something here with him wanting to be in the match for the majority of the time.

Light Tubes Death Match - Abdullah Kobayashi, Akira Hyodo & Jaki
Numazawa vs. Masaya Takahashi, Minoru Fujita & Yuki Ishikawa
We join this in progress. Abby tries to stick a fork in Masay's head, but Masaya does it to him instead and busts him open. The fork is actually in Abby's head and he gets ddt'd on it. Abby ddt's Fujita onto light tubes. Jaki puts a light tube cross up in the corner and he and Fujita clothesline each other.
Jaki goes into the cross but it doesn't break. Yuki then stomps the cross to break it over Jaki's back. Yuki throws a chair at Jaki then dropkicks him from the 2nd rope. Jaki forward rolling fireman's carries Yuki onto chairs then he is blue thunder drivered onto the chairs.
Abby drops an elbow on Masaya then Hyodo sentons Masaya with light tubes. Masaya and Hyodo trade forearms then Hyodo takes a judo throw. Fujita tombstones Hyodo and Masaya breaks a pile of tubes over Hyodo's head. He then wins with a jackhammer at 9:35.
There wasn't any story here or anything and it was just people trying desperately to get a couple of things in before the match ended.

Light Tubes Death Match - Hideyoshi Kamitani, Ryuji Ito & Yuko Miyamoto vs. Drew Parker, Isami Kodaka & Masashi Takeda
We join this in progress, about 30 seconds in. They botch a leapfrog. Ito and Parker trade some nice forearms then duel with chairs and light tubes. Both duck shots and getting nailed in the head with tubes. Takeda then breaks one over Kamitani's head and throws him into the ropes with tubes on them and breaks one over his mouth. Kamitani gets thrown into the tubes. Takeda boots a tube into Kamitani's chest for 2.
They trade shots and Kamitani slams Takeda onto a pile of tubes. Ito moonsaults Takeda but Takeda moves then Takeda punches some tubes into his gut. Parker gets whipped into the ropes but springs off them and hits a cutter. Like a dummy, Parker runs himself into the tubes on the ropes then is powerbombed onto tubes. Miyamoto does a twisting moonsault but overshoots and misses.
Isami evades some Miyamoto kicks then breaks a light tube over his own head, then Miyamoto moonsault double knees him. Kamitani grabs a stack of tubes and rams them with his body into Isami. Parker does a flip dive to his opponents on the outside then Isami drops double knees from the top on Kamitani for 2. Kamitani hits a hard lariat on Isami then drops him on his head with a hard backdrop for the win.
This was a total sprint. Everyone was rushing to get anything in and with so many guys and so little time, that's about all they could do here. It was not boring though and kept my attention.

BJW Strong World Heavyweight Title Match - Yasufumi Nakanoue (c) vs. Ryuichi Kawakami
Ryuichi
throws flowers at Naka during intros. They do basic stuff to start.
Nakanoue then drops him with a lariat and takes a weak chair to the
head. Naka then gets F-U'd onto the apron. They trade chops then
forearms. Naka hits some good ones and gets downed with just one.
Kawakami bullies him a little and swipes away a 2nd rope missile dropkick then Nakanour comes back with a flying lariat. Nakanoue hits a vader bomb for 1 and the two trade more forearms. Nakanoue gets an exploder but doesn't sell it and drops Kawakami with a forearm.
Kawakami superplexes him off the top then carries it over into a brainbuster. Nakanoue botches a springboard and nails Kawakami in the mouth when he isn't supposed to. Nakanoue then hits a sloppy ddt. He goes up top for his top rope elbow by Kawakami gets his knees up. He moves the ref out of the way and low blows Nakanoue then dragon suplexes him. He then hits a really nice forearm.
Nakanoue blows some kind of reverse ddt. The two trade forarms on their knees with Kawakami hitting some hard ones. Kawakami then shining wizards him and Kawada kicks him. Nakanoue fights back with forearms hits a running lariat. Nakanoue hits his big elbow drop off the top then lariats him for 2. Naka moonsaults him for the win soon after.
I wasn't a fan of this one. The crowd was silent. They had multiple sloppy moments and the match just wasn't well built or structured. They also went longer than these two had a match for.
BJW Death Match Heavyweight Title No Canvas Hard Weapon Death Match - Takumi Tsukamoto (c) vs. Kankuro Hoshino
This is a no rings mat match with cement bricks, some metal boxes, a barbed wire board and a ladder.
Hoshino powers through the first bump on the wood then bumps himself on the cement bricks because he is an idiot. Takumi runs into a ladder one corner then is pushed into the barbed wire board in the other corner. Hoshino rubs some wire onto Takumi's head and Takumi gets bulldogged into a barb wire chair. Hoshino breaks a brick over Takumi's back then slams him onto a barbed wire chair.
Takumi wraps barbed wire around Hoshino's mouth then slams Hoshino onto the bricks. Takumi misses a twisting vader bomb on the bricks and when Hoshino clotheslines him down, both land on the wood mat. Hoshino elbow drops bricks on Takumi's stomach, but probably hurts himself more, then does a sent on the bricks on Takumi's stomach. Hoshino gets back body dropped onto a chair on top of ring steps.
Hoshino gets slammed on a ladder in the corner for 2. He recovers and sto's Takumi onto his metal box, then sto's him onto the bricks. Takumi gets the bricks put on his stomach then Hoshino sentons them from the top. Hoshino goes back up top and Takumi walks up the ring steps planted against the 2nd rope to superplex him. Hoshino takes a double chicken wing bomb onto the wood mat. Takumi then sits on the steps on Hoshino's back and boston crabs him to win at 17:16.
Overall thoughts: Not a great one. Hoshino brings down every match he is in with his stupid stunts and Kawakami vs Nakanoue didn't click. The other matches were rushed due to the curfews in Japan.
