WWE is filming a new NXT show called "NXT EVOLVE"

This has been speculated for a while and there are news reports going around about it. Supposedly they have a title belt made along with some graphics. It is said that Gabe Sapolsky(formerly of ROH and currently involved with EVOLVE) and Jeremy Borash(formerly of WCW and TNA) are involved in the production. The tapings were done in a warehouse that WWE used for the Performance Center. It is said it will be nothing like other WWE shows and was almost named "NXT Underground".

I've always liked WWE developmental shows dating back to OVW. NXT used to fit this role but since they are now competing with AEW on Wednesday's, they have a lot less developmental talent on the show to the point that it really isn't developmental anymore. A new developmental show will allow some of the inexperienced talent a chance to get better and the only way talent can get better is by performing. It is kind of a joke though to have a development show to a development show, which is likely what this will be.

WWE kind of has too much wrestling as is with Raw, NXT, NXT UK, Main Event, Smackdown and 205 Live plus specials and PPV's, but more wrestling is usually a good thing. The main problem is that people like me who want to watch everything are having a harder time doing so due to so much footage coming out weekly and it can lead to burn out.

From what has been reported, it sounds like some shows were already taped. It seems like it will be a new weekly series, though the fact that some episodes were taped in advance already might mean that it is just a limited series. The question is when would this air. Tuesday nights, Thursday nights and most Saturday's and Sunday's are open on WWE's schedule. My guess is that this won't be on a weekend since their PPV's would screw up when it could be aired. WWE already has NXT UK on Thursdays, though while it is aired at night in the UK, it is aired in the afternoon in the US, so it might be a possibility. Tuesdays seems like the most likely destination for this though as it could compete with Impact and AEW Dark.

My only concern with this is that I never really liked EVOLVE and I don't know how much I trust some of the minds behind that to create this.

 Stay tuned for more updates!
