Big Show signs with AEW
Big Show has signed with AEW. He will be a commentator on AEW's new show "AEW Dark: Elevation" and will be wrestling some as well according to the press release.
This is a weird singing. Show is one of those guys who felt like a life long WWE guy. My guess is that he wanted to do something on-screen and WWE wouldn't let him, so he left.
He hasn't done much commentary, so it is unknown if he will be any good or not, but he seems to be comfortable talking and might be a decent fit for it. Obviously, they didn't sign him because they wanted him as a commentator though.
As a wrestler, Big Show was pretty good. However, he is really over-exposed and has dealt with bad booking for most of his career. He has been away for a little and if he is only used sparingly, the over-exposure might not be an issue anymore. His age has to be a question though because he is older now and can't possibly have that much left in the tank. Personally, there's nobody I really want to see him go against in AEW and with AEW's usual bad booking of bigger wrestlers, I don't have much faith in them.
Hopefully, AEW didn't pay too much for him. I don't see him making any difference at the box office or in the ratings, but the signing does make AEW feel a little more credible. It's also a nice little shot at WWE.
