WWE Superstars 10/24/2012 Review

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/wwe-superstars-10202012-review.html

The Uso Brothers - Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso vs The Primetime Players - Darren Young and Titus O'Neil

"The Primetime Players came back from their tour of Egypt and they actually told me they were thinking of buying one of the pyramids." - Scott Stanford
"I didn't know that they were for sale." - Josh Mathews
"Would you call that a pyramid scheme?" - Scott Stanford
"I'd call that a terrible joke." - Josh Mathews
"The Uso's wear their hair long like it's part of a uniform. It's going to hurt them sometimes." - Josh Mathews after one of the Uso's got their hair pulled on a move
"That's why we're worth millions and millions of dollars." - Darren Young
"Shades of Rikishi." - Scott Stanford
The finish
The Uso's beat the Primetime Players with a Samoan splash. This was an excellent match. Good work by both teams here. The Uso's played the face in peril for most of this until making their comeback and taking it home. The crowd was into this and so was I. Maybe they didn't do anything super wild or big, but everything they did was just right. The PTP's combined their charisma with their heeling well here and it lead to a good match. Rating:***
"WWE's version of the Three Amigo's." - Scott Stanford
"Jinder Mahal is such a legendary ladies man. Think George Clooney proportions in his homeland of India." - Scott Stanford
Jinder Mahal vs Tyson Kidd
"These guys told me earlier on, they are setting tour dates, writing songs and there's already a Behind the Music in the works. These guys could be the biggest three man band since ZZ Top." - Scott Stanford

Jinder Mahal beat Tyson Kidd with the camel clutch. The focus was mostly on 3MB's antics and that's okay with me because they are really entertaining. You can tell that they know it's a terrible gimmick, so they really play it up and have as much fun with it as they can. I actually like it, and let me tell you, you couldn't have convinced me a few months ago that I could like anything Heath Slater did. As for the match, it was a little on the short side but it was a perfectly fine TV filler match. No real big highlights from this one. Rating:*1/2

They dedicated the rest of the show to the main event from RAW.

Overall thoughts: The two matches shown were good so it gets the thumbs up from me. The opening tag might be worth going out of your way to see and if you are a 3MB fan, you should enjoy their match. I miss the days of Superstars with 4-5 matches, but until Main Event or SMS gets cancelled, this is about as good as they should do. Overall, this gets the thumbs up from me and is worth seeing.
