AAA on Fox 8/15/2026
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/08/aaa-on-fox-882026-verano-de-escandalo.html
We are in Torreon, Mexico. Corey Graves, JBL and Rey Mysterio are on commentary.
We see clips of Dom Mysterio turning on El Grande Americano and his explanation behind it.
We see the wrestlers arriving and see El Grande Americano hanging out with a group of soccer fans.
El Grande Americano attacks Dominik Mysterio as he arrives. They fight in the back. Rey Mysterio says he has to go to control this. The two then fight into the arena and into ringside. Grande topes him into the commentary table. Grande hits him with a shoe. Grande thesz presses him and hits mounted punches. Rey Mysterio breaks it up. Dom punches Grande in the crotch then stomps on him. Rey grabs Dom and Dom shoves him. Dom then leaves as Grande goes for him again.
Grande gets on the mic. He says his problem with Dom isn't personal but something bigger. He asks how Dom will be compared in the future like El Santo, Blue Demon and Mil Mascaras. Grande says those men gave everything to wrestling and says Dom spent his whole career taking away from wrestling. He says Dom calls himself the king of the luchadores but a true king never runs or hides from a fight. He says a true king fights for the crown and his people. Grande says with or without championships, he's still the king. He says Triplemania returns home for Pimpi, Rey and it returns home with him.
We see Noisy Boy and Rey Fenix getting ready in the back.
AAA Cruiserweight Title - Rey Fenix (c) vs Noisy Boy
They trade waistlocks and Rey dropkicks him out. Noisy dropkicks him through the ropes and tope con hilos him. Noisy springboards into a Rey superkick for 2. Rey corner splashes and corner enzugiri's him. Noisy corkscrew headscissors him. Rey rope walk kicks him. Rey top rope crossbodies him.
Rey top rope frogsplashes him for 2. Noisy kneeling springboard cutters him for 2. Rey death valley drivers him for 2. Noisy high kicks him. Noisy kneeling springboard poisonrana's him for 2. Noisy jumps off Rey's back, handsprings into the ropes and standing moonsaults him. Noisy misses a top rope moonsault.
Rey double flying knees him in the corner. Rey hits a mexican muscle buster and pins him.
Thoughts: I didn't like the poisonrana not meaning anything. Other than that, it was a shorter one and a showcase for Noisy. Noisy hit his stuff clean and popped the announcers. There's nothing else there besides the flips, but maybe he will figure it out someday. It was an okay opener. I have no idea how Noisy got this shot considering he lost last week.
Rey hugs a Wile E. Coyote mascot in the front row after.
Penta comes out, hugs Rey Fenix and heads to the ring. Penta says Roman Reigns has never faced anyone like him. Penta says he has fought for himself and his people. He says when he wins the tournament, he's going to see Roman face to face in Mexico and show him who he is.
Karmen Petrovic comes out then Los Perros del Mal surround Penta in the ring. Penta hugs Los Perros except for Nima. Daga says it's been 8 years since they shared the same ring. Daga says he became a Perro in 2012 and Penta joined him 2 years later. He says they conquered every corner of Mexico. He says Perro Aguayo Jr. then died and they continued.
Daga says Penta said he doesn't need a family. Daga says Penta needs one when he goes to challenge Roman. He says Penta knows if he goes alone, he won't walk out of there. Daga says this is about Mexico and us vs them. He says Roman doesn't respect people, just power. He says they know respect and power are in the numbers.
Daga gives him a Perros shirt and says it's an invitation to return home. Penta tells Daga to let him think about it. Daga says he has until the end of the night.
#1 Contender's Tournament First Round - La Parka va Psycho Clown
They lock up and go into the corner. Clown side headlocks him and shoulders him over. Parka kips up then armdrags him. Clown armdrags back. Clown trips him and they stand off.
Clown hits shots in the corner. Clown powerslams him for 2. Parka tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Clown pop up forearms him. Clown takes an overhead belly to belly suplex into the buckles. Parka 2nd rope moonsaults Clown outside. Clown toyota rolls him into a code red.
Clown throws Parka out. Clown topes him under the top rope connector. Clown goes up top, Parka walks up the buckles and top rope spanish flies him for 2. Parka 2nd rope moonsaults him. Clown gets his feet up on Parka's top rope moonsault. Clown canadian destroyers Parka. Clown lariats him.
Parka hits kicks and dropkicks him from behind. The top buckle is taken off. Parka rolls into a cutter on Clown. Clown pushes Parka into the ref in the corner. Clown air raid crashes Parka.
The lights go out. The unknown masked guy from last week lariats Clown down then bangs his head off the buckled. Clown is lariated over the top then dropped ribs first on the rails. Clown is sent into the post then takes a headkick against the post. Parka hits hits a bad bonebreaker on Clown and pins him.
Thoughts: It started off well and was less good as it continued. It also had a dirty finish as the Clown vs Mystery Masked Guy feud continues. It was average.
Parka checks on Clown after. An athletic trainer then checks on Clown. Clown is helped out after.
Penta talks to Los Perros in the back. Penta says everything the Los Perros shirt represents is part of his history. He says he needs to know everyone who has worn this shirt as earned it. He says he wants to make sure they have no dead weight. Nima asks who the dead weight is. Penta says he wants to show him. Nima says they can fight him next week and says Penta will put the shirt on when he beats him and will recognize he's part of the family. Penta agrees.
Overall thoughts: We only had two matches here and a lot of talking. Noisy/Fenix was an okay opener. Parka/Clown started off good but went down some. We had a lot of storyline developments here with Clown/Mystery Man, Perros/Penta and Dom/Grande. The show was okay overall and I'd give it a 6 out of 10.
