AEW Full Gear Saturday Tailgate Brawl 11/21/2025

AEW Full Gear Saturday Tailgate Brawl 11/21/2025

The PPV is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/11/aew-full-gear-2025-11212025.html

We are in Newark, New Jersey. Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

$200,000 Four-way Tag Team Match - Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson) vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd)

Dalton Castle joins the commentary crew for this. Bowens and Austin side headlock takeover and headscissor each other. Austin goes up and over. He sweeps him and hits punches. Bowens does a weird takedown on him. Max then tries to get a chant started for himself.

Max and Juice get in. Juice atomic drops him then russian legsweeps him. Juice sentons him. Truth comes in and sends out Juice then dropkicks Max. Truth hits chops on Big Bill. Truth is then facekicked off the apron.

We go to break and return. Truth boots Bryan Keith out of the corner. Bill misses a corner splash on Truth. Turbo comes in and hits punches on multiple people. He then slams 3 people. Turbo dropkicks Bill off the apron. Turbo hits a bulldog + lariat combo then he slams Juice. The Runners hit a double elbow drop on Bryan.

Bowens fameassers Turbo from behind. Truth takes corner attacks from Bowens and Max. Max slams Truth. Bowens hits the arrival on Bryan and Max top rope elbow drops Bryan. Bill comes in and facekicks Max. Bowens superkicks Bill in the face. Juice then rolls up Bowens and wins.

Thoughts: It didn't get much time and there was a break that chopped this up. Juice won out of nowhere here without a lot of build. It's a shame as what we got of this was fine prior to the quick finish.

Paul Wight comes out to do commentary.

Samoa Joe talks in front of Opps Dojo members. He says Page took out the pieces and he stands here alone. He says Page will find out how alone he is tonight. Joe says he has an army of wayward soldiers behind him. He says Page will learn what this movement is really about tonight.

Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall vs The Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero and Trent Baretta)

The 4 pair off and fight in the corners. AJ and QT hit stereo punches on the heels. AJ hits a corner lariat and QT does a cartwheel back elbow. AJ powerslams Rocky and lariats him over the top. AJ pops up QT into a flip dive outside.

We go to break and return. Rocky chinlocks QT then back body drops him outside. Rocky has words for The Rizzler. Big Justice then argues with Rocky. Trent comes in (he has a pink cast on). He piefaces Justice down. Paul Wight then comes to help out Justice.

Rocky hits punches on QT. QT handspring enzugiri's Rocky. AJ comes in and hits punches on the heels. He powerslams the heels. AJ gorilla press drops Rocky. AJ half-nelson slams Trent for 2. AJ belly to belly overhead suplexes Rocky over the top. Trent superkicks AJ.

AJ spinebusters Trent. Don Callis gets on the apron and AJ is distracted. Trent hits AJ with his cast. Trent flying knees AJ for 2. AJ takes a b-driver + top rope double stomp for 2. Rocky hits a sliced bread on QT. Rocky hits corner lariats on the faces. Rocky grabs a piece of the cast. Justices comes in then he boots and stunners Rocky. Trent grabs Justice outside. Wight punches Trent. Trent takes a blockbuster + powerbomb combo and is pinned.

Thoughts:
It was pretty similar to what we saw last time with The Costco Guys. It was a fun little match. AJ was struggling to breathe during this though and was really sucking wind. QT really moved well here and did a lot of high flying.

Don Callis, Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks are interviewed. Josh says they will end Kenny Omega and he will do it for Don. Don says hey will also win the CMLL trios titles. Don says they've got Okada and the interviewer says Okada isn't here. The Bucks ask if it's because of Takeshita. Don says The Bucks haven't been responsive to Okada but says he will be here. He says Okada will deliver. Don then gives The Bucks a gift. He says it's money but not actual money. They then walk away and open the gift.

Hook and Eddie Kingston vs. WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake)

The fight starts in the aisle. Eddie is sent into the rails by JD and goes down. Henry bangs Hook's face off his knee then pop-up knees him. JD slingshot swantons Hook. JD spinebusters Hook for 2. JD chops Hook. Eddie makes it to the apron and has a backwards hat on. Hook exploders Henry. JD is hit with a double backdrop.

Henry hits kicks on Eddie then Eddie ddt's him for the win.

Thoughts: This was short and rushed. Eddie must have been hurt here as he did basically nothing but the ddt at the end. This was a waste of time.

CMLL World Trios Titles - El Sky Team (Místico, Máscara Dorada, and Neón) (c) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero)

Okada does not come out with his partners. We have 5 minutes left until the actual show begins so this appears that it will feed into the PPV.

The faces are knocked off he ropes while posing and the fight goes outside. MD is sent into the rails and Mist is sent into the steps. Neon is also sent into the rails. Hech uses a chair on Mist's arm against the steps but is not DQ'd. Hech rams Mist's shoulder into the post. Hech then cranks the arm back against a chair.

KT chinlocks MD in the ring while the doc's look at Mist's arm. The match then officially begins with 2:45 left of TV time. Mist is taken to the back. Neon springboard diving headscissors KT. MD top rope tornillo armdrags Hech. MD and Neon then do stereo topes outside. We see Okada arrive in gear in a car. The show then cuts off.

Thoughts: While we did get to see the end of the match, we didn't get to see it here. I can't say I love this strategy of making people buy the PPV to see the finish and I don't think it really adds to PPV sales.

Overall thoughts: We didn't see the finish of the main on this show, so that definitely brings this one down. Other than that, we got 3 shorter matches with The Costco Guys match getting the most time. There was nothing you really need to see here but it's a pre-show and it's only supposed to give you a taste, not the full meal. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as I thought the opener could have been more and I didn't like how the main event was handled.
