AEW Dynamite is running against this show.

Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive with the men's teams for tonight arriving. The NXT women take slefies in the back and the TNA women walk in together.

NXT Tag Titles vs TNA Tag Titles - The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) vs DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin)

Matt hits a twist of fate on OG. Matt hits a twist of fate on Dion. Jeff hits a top rope swanton Dion and gets the pin.

Thoughts: It was a disaster. Griffin had an awful night here with multiple botches and sloppy moments. He single-handedly brought this one down in one of his worst performances. The match didn't get a ton of time either. The Hardy's won as expected here. Matt and Jeff become the first TNA act to win WWE gold.

The Hardy's hold the titles up in The Dudley's direction after.

Women's Survivor Series Elimination Match - Special Ref: Jordynne Grace - Team TNA (Kelani Jordan, Mara Sade and The Iinspiration (Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee) vs Team NXT (Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jaida Parker and Jacy Jayne)

McKenzie Mitchell is the ring announcer for this. Vic does a Meta-Four joke for Sade. Everyone in this is a former or current WWE wrestler.

Jacy and Kelani go at it. Jacy backs her up on the ropes and Kelani backrolls her. Jacy backrolls on a low crossbody. They shove each other and Jacy flying headscissors her. Lola shoulders Kelani over. Lola takes double kicks from Jess and Lee.

Lola dances and Jess rolls her up for 2. Lola grounded sleepers her and submits her. Jessie McKay is eliminated.

Kelani is the last member on Team TNA. Kelani superkicks Jacy then split-legged moonsaults her. Kelani has the pin but Grace id distracted and takes a while to count. Kelani argues with the ref and is rolled up for 2. Kelani is thrown out. Jacy PK's her from the apron.

Kelani hits a top rope spanish fly on Sol. Sol gets her knees up on Kelani's 450 and hits a sol snatcher. Jacy tags herself in and pins Kelani to win the match.

Thoughts: It was ugly. There were a couple of pins where it looked like the count was interrupted and a lot of sloppy spots. McKenzie messed up a call. Kelani was the last person standing on Team TNA despite being a WWE girl and Team NXT won with 2 people remaining in the end. It got lots of time but the quality and booking wasn't there.

Jacy hugs Sol after and Sol isn't thrilled. Jacy makes Grace raise her hand.

Thoughts:
They did a bit too much like usual in Ali's matches. They had an unusual spot with Ali purposely getting his foot caught in the mic cable then Ali getting pinned with the foot still in it. I didn't think this was that good.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr is interviewed. He says Page said Hijo stole the win from him. He talks in Spanish and says he's coming. Lexis King comes in. He says Tavion Heights is under the Hijo match. King said he did research and there is no Dr. Wagner practicing medicine in Mexico. King tries to take the mask off and Hijo stops him. Mike corner chops Rick and drops him chest first for 2. Rick superkicks Mike. Rick side steps and makes Moose spear Mike for 2. Mike hits shots on Rick. Rick is pushed into a pop-up powerbomb from Moose. Mike spinning lariats Rick and pins him.

Thoughts
: It was nice to see Team TNA win. It was alright and a lot better than the women's match but it wasn't a classic. They had limited time, commercial breaks and didn't even get to do anything too crazy. Joe Hendry also surprisingly didn't play any real role in this. Trick turning on Saints with so much time left also was going to bring the finish down some.

Ava and Santino talk in the back. Ava congratulates Santino. Santino says the women showed they are the best. Ava says she's glad their partnership is on better turns. She says she is having a battle royale for a women's title shot and says she'd love some Knockouts to be in it.

Overall thoughts: It was a bit of let down. Osiris Griffin had a bad night and single-handedly destroyed the opener with lots of sloppy moments. The women's match was similarly ugly with lots of issues. Ali/Page wasn't that good. The main was fine but it didn't get the time it needed and they didn't go all out. It was nice to see Team TNA win though. If I had to re-do this, I would do it on a PLE where the time is unlimited and where everyone can go all out, not on TV where there's commercial breaks and limited time. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 mostly just for it happening, the main being okay and WWE doing the right thing and letting TNA win. But it was by no means the classic show it could have been.

  1. The botches tonight were some of the funniest I've seen in a while. lol but maybe putting 2 rosters of talent from 2 different companies with different ways of doing things results in a lot of miscommunications especially when many of the wrestlers are clearly still learning, but these types of outings are good because it really helps you know what you need to work on, so I say glass half full not half empty.
